If only I knew there was no preparing for what I was going to see….

It seemed as though, the werewolves had a spy amongst us the vampires, before we got to the south, news got to us that the werewolves were going back to their pack so after giving the warning to the vampires in the south, myself, Athens, and the rest of the boys went over to the east side, where the werewolf attack first happened.

From a distance, I could hear the screams and howls. As I got closer, it became apparent that the wolves were retreating from the battle on the outskirt of the town.

“If we go after them now, it would be easier to get them,” Athens said. The rash part of me wanted to chase them down into the woods but I willed myself to remain calm.

“It is a trap.” I simply answered him. The stench of blood and corpse-filled my nostrils as I stepped foot into the east soil…
