Leo ended up spending the night at the hospital with his wife Arya. He was watching over Rowena the whole night, he kept staring at her like she was a precious gift from heaven.

"Mommy is going to be happy when she sees you awake but for now, you are here with daddy and daddy wants to teach you something, it is good that you are the earlier than we expected, I just want to tell you something, you see daddy is sick but still doesn't know what is going on with him but he is just glad that you are here and you are my little princess, I know mommy will take care of you in my absence." He said as he rocked her to sleep.

"Who are you talking to?" Arya who was asleep the whole night asked as she moved to sit comfortably on the bed, her wound had healed up but she still felt a little pain down her abdomen, just enough for her to move around.

"I was talking to Rowena, she doesn't even know what I am saying but the way she was looking at me, so innocently; you would think she unde

Life as a first-time mom was proving to be hard, but Luna Arya was doing her best to cope and blend in. The maids were doing everything for her. She only had to breastfeed the baby who was growing up faster and blending well with the family."Your mom would be so proud of you, I am proud too. I just can't believe that I am alive to witness all these. I am just happy. That is all I can say." Alfred said to Arya, who was just done rocking the baby to sleep and was focused on the paperwork sitting on the table."Let's all agree on something, dad, this came earlier than I had anticipated, I am just twenty, a Luna, a mother, a business to run and to perform my duties as a Luna, it is not that easy. How did mom operate, I mean, how did she manage to do all these?" She asked for the umpteenth time."You have been questioning me about this since morning but I must tell you something though, you are your mom's daughter but you can't be similar, I know you always look up to her but she wasn't a

Miranda woke up the following morning feeling tired but she was in a good mood. She turned to face the other side but Ryder was not in bed with her, the events of the previous night came running into her mind and she smiled at the thought of it. She walked to the mirror to check herself out, and moved the hair that was falling on her face, the mark on her neck was still there and that is when it dawned on her; she was now a Luna and there was no turning back.“You are looking for something?” Alpha Ryder asked as he walked fresh from the bathroom, he had a towel hanging across his waist, it was the first time she was concentrating on his abs and damn! He looked cute. “See who finally decided to show up, I thought you were one of those guys that sleep with you at night and leave you the following morning, I am glad you decided to stick around.” She said and walked up to him, placed her hands on his abs and traced them with her fingers, “looks like someone has been hitting the gym,

ARYA WAYNE LANCEIt had been exactly two months since I gave birth to Rowena and everything was going on well, the baby was growing fast and I had resumed work and working on my duties as a Luna as well but something else was bothering me, I know Sophia had asked me earlier about and I didn’t say much about it because I hadn’t seen any change in my husband yet. She insisted that something was wrong with Leo but I thought it was just her speculation after a month, I realized that my husband was going through something, he was withdrawn and was always at work, it was like he was evading something back at home. I remember I asked him once and his reply was not that satisfying to me, “I am so busy at work and you know the new job that I got with Ryder, I am working all day on that and you understand it is tiresome and I have to make sacrifices.” That was all he said and as much as I wasn’t satisfied with his reply but I didn’t want to pry further.I even spoke to

ALPHA LEO LANCEHaving my wife on my back was not a good sign, I didn’t know how long I was going to hide the truth from her and everything I did made her doubt me even more. That morning when I dropped her at the office, I drove straight to Ryder’s company, we had a deal to discuss and a meeting with the board of members and that is when I met Miranda, I just couldn’t believe that she was his mate and he had already marked her. I knew Miranda since senior year, and even though she was ahead of me but I knew her well. She was Kai’s friend with benefits but I loved how she operated; she was always minding her own business.I couldn’t even concentrate during the meeting, my mind was on my wife and our baby, I didn’t know how long I had but I knew I had to talk to my wife about it she had to be prepared for anything that was going to happen. I didn’t know what else to do so I called my best friend Dylan, I knew he would be in a better position to give me a way forward

ARYA WAYNE LANCEWhen I thought my husband was hiding something from me, my mind raced to him cheating on me, I thought he was probably cheating on me, it didn’t cross my mind that he was going through something so painful. When he told me he was dying, I thought it was a dry joke until I saw the seriousness on his face, he meant it.I embraced him because that was the only thing I could do at the moment, I couldn’t imagine a life without him, taking care of our daughter on my own without him was a thought that I couldn’t get rid of. He spent the rest of the afternoon with me, going through emails, replying to some and finishing the paperwork that was sitting on my desk for almost a week. We completed a whole week’s work that afternoon, I just wanted to spend more time with him while I considered another option of saving my husband before it was too late, I needed to speak to Penelope again, maybe she missed something about the whole issue. We drove back home i

A week after the revelation, she decided to find Miranda, there were things she wanted them to discuss as Luna’s for both packs since her husband was already working with Leo, she thought it was a good idea for them to link up and discuss some things. She was busy typing on her computer, replying to emails and clearing her day’s schedule when she got a call from the receptionist.“Luna Arya, there is someone at the lobby, she says you are expecting her, Miranda from the Moonlight Pack.”“Oh yeah, I am expecting her, just let her through and please direct her to my office.” She said over the call and then hung up. The same evening; Emily and Arya left together, she was mad at her cousin but not angry, she just left like she deserved to know what was going on in his cousin’s life, they had been friends since they were young and there is no way, she could hide anything from him, the same energy would have been better.“You know if I didn’t come by your office, I wouldn’t have known anything, were you even planning on telling me anything?” Emily asked while Arya drove through the less busy street.“I don’t know Emily, it was not my story to tell, despite; I just learnt about it a few days ago, he was going to tell you after all, I don’t know why you are angry at him though, he is dying and that is the truth of the matter, I didn’t even stay ad at him for lying to me the whole time, I just sympathized with his situation, I mean, what would you have done if it was you? I thought that is what she wanted. To bring you back so you can help me bring her back.” She complained.“I know but you know we can’t force her if she is not ready to do any of that, you have to understand that this is a personal decision and she has made hers, we have to get used to that, y

ARYA WAYNE LANCE If someone told me once in my life that I was going to be the Luna of the Red Crescent pack, I would say a big no, my life wasn’t always flowers and roses even though my family was royal and my father was an Alpha, no one liked me and when I say no one, I mean everyone from school and my pack. That is not even the problem because I didn’t care about that, what worried me was the fact that my life came to a halt when I didn’t get the normal changes on my body like other wolves in my pack and when I turned nineteen, I thought things were going to work for me finally but that is not how things turned out for me. And when my family lost their pack and everything, I knew there was nothing else left for me, I felt like my life was already tangled and I just wanted to grow up and get a life of my own but when my mother was ‘killed’ I knew life was over for me, I had lost my brother already and losing my mom was a big blow to me, my father was there for me the whole time a

THE MEMORIAL AFTER PARTY The plan for Leo’s memorial went on well, Sophia was able to pull up the whole invitation list and a lot of people attended, he was perhaps loved by a lot of people.“Leo was my great friend and he was loved by many, I included. He went too soon when we had just started becoming great partners on a business project we were working on but his legacy shall always live amongst us, I owe him one and it is not only that but I wish one day when we meet, I would tell him how his life has inspired most of us, just like in the famous show I watched some years back, a great man once said, ‘Los modales hacen al hombre’ until we meet again." Ryder said and everyone clapped, he wanted to say something during the memorial service and Arya let him, the two had become great friends and had been working on a project together before he died. “My son was good, just like his father, he always knew what to do and always put his family first, to him family was all about those who

When Arya got home that evening, she was busy with Rowena, she had started spending most of the time with her daughter ever since she lost her husband. “I didn’t think you would come so early today, how was work?” Sophia asked as soon as she walked into the house, she was carrying a bag in her other hand. “Yeah, I didn’t think I would come off early too but here I am, what have you got for us today, man I am starving and I didn’t want to bother the maids so?” she said as she walked up to her and took the bag from her. “I got your favourite, I figured out you don’t like cooking when you get back from work and all that, so I brought your favourite, how is she?” “She is okay, the flu is gone and I think she is okay, she is starting to get walk on her own and I can’t wait for her to grow up, she reminds me of Leo.” She said in a low tone and Sophia nodded, talking about her son was something she didn’t feel comfortable disusing especially after his death. “I know he is watching over h

Death is not something you would wish for your worst enemy, it strikes and reaps off our loved ones, a permanent thing with no reversal. Arya was in mourning for over one week and when they lay her husband to rest, she knew she had to partake in the duty of becoming the Alpha and continue serving her people just like Leo had always done before. “Things are not easy as they were, people have lost faith and they are still mourning their dead Alpha, I think we should give them time to recuperate and you know get back on their feet.” Beta Max reported to Arya week after the burial session was over. “No, I am the one grieving but I am here, can’t you see that, Max?” She shot back and Max sighed, he didn’t know what to say next so he just let her continue talking. “I know we are all grieving but I am here working for you guys, working for this pack because that is how much I love you guys, I lost a husband, the love of my life, the father to my baby, and my best friend but I am here at wor

The following morning Arya woke up earlier than usual, she breastfed Rowena at around five in the morning and went back to sleep, she was feeling tired and since Leo was still sleeping soundly next to her, she didn’t want to wake him up, she just pulled the duvet covers over them and went back to sleep. She was woken up a few minutes later by a groaning Leo, he seemed like he was in pain, she was suddenly alarmed and got up to check on him. “Babe, are you sure you are, okay? What is going on?” She asked worriedly and Leo just shook his head and moved to the other side of the bed, he was struggling to breathe and was constantly stopping to catch his breath. “I don’t think I have much time left, I am…I am dying my love…and…I don’t know what to say to you… right now but…it…is…time.” He said as struggled to breathe and Arya’s heart skipped a beat, they had just shared a great moment the previous night and didn’t think it was the last time they spent the night together and now he was try

Days after the deep discussion with her mother, Arya had a hard time thinking over what her mom had suggested, she didn’t know if it was the right thing to do. She contemplated talking to her husband Leo about it but every time she summoned enough courage to ask him about it, she backed out and decided not to.She was currently in her force going through the week’s schedule when she got a call from Miranda, the project they were working on was doing well.“Hey, I was passing by and I thought it would be best if we discussed something on what we are working on, I will be a bit busy next week. So, I didn’t want to be an inconvenience to you in case my schedule doesn’t match out.” She said over the phone.“Oh yeah, you can come I am just around going through some files over here but I can create some time for you, where are you?”“On my way over to you now.” She responded.“Just come to

It had been one week since Katie moved back to French Basin; she stayed in the hotel for a few days but Alfred suggested she moves in with them. I felt like maybe she just didn’t want to help perform the spell and all that, so, I decided to go behind her back and bring my mom back on my own and I almost fucked things up. My mom isn’t ready to come or she just doesn’t want to come.” Penelope said to Katie one evening as they were hanging out in a café just across the street.“I know how that feels and honestly if there was a way, I could bring back everyone I have lost in my life, I would have done so a long time ago but that is not how things work my dear.
