Arya was still getting used to the fact that her husband was dying and she had duties to partake in as a mom, a CEO and the Red Crescent’s Luna. Everything was weighing down on her and she didn’t even know what to do anymore, just tried living one day at a time.

A week after the revelation, she decided to find Miranda, there were things she wanted them to discuss as Luna’s for both packs since her husband was already working with Leo, she thought it was a good idea for them to link up and discuss some things.

She was busy typing on her computer, replying to emails and clearing her day’s schedule when she got a call from the receptionist.

“Luna Arya, there is someone at the lobby, she says you are expecting her, Miranda from the Moonlight Pack.”

“Oh yeah, I am expecting her, just let her through and please direct her to my office.” She said over the call and then hung up. A few minutes later there was a knock on her office door, “come in,” she said looking up from he

Miranda and Ryder rode back home together in his car, everyone in the pack was already used to Miranda and everyone loved her, she was calm and never at loggerheads with anyone. Meanwhile back at her mother’s house, Penelope, Cassandra and her mother were having a meeting, they had been trying to bring back Penelope’s mother but it was like she was not ready to come back to the living world.“Your mother still insists that we are just okay without her here and we can do a lot on our own, she is not ready to come back, not just yet.” Miranda’s mom said and Penelope sighed, she was looking forward to meeting her mom and the fact that she didn’t want to come back hurt her.“Why though? I thought that is what she wanted. To bring you back so you can help me bring her back.” She complained.“I know but you know we can’t force her if she is not ready to do any of that, you have to understand that this is a personal decision and she has made hers, we have to get used to that, y

For Cassandra and Penelope, it was not easy locating their mother, they had to go around asking for her whereabouts and when they finally found where she was, she was living in an elderly home with other aged disabled people. She smiled as soon as she saw them, she was in a wheelchair basking in the sun, that was like her normal routine, she would be moved out to bask in the sun and wheeled back to the main house, she had aged so much that you could see the wrinkles on her face.“My daughter, I never thought you would come to see me, I just knew that one day, you will come, I just wanted to say my goodbye before I die, thank you for coming, thank you all for coming, I missed you all.” She said weakly and Cassandra smiled, she was lost for words to tell her mother, one good look at her and you would tell she was going through a lot, not just physically but mentally as well.“Mom, it has…it has been long, you look…” She added and her mom smiled, “different, I know but than

Flashback (Nine years ago)“I don’t think it is a good idea to unleash what I have been trying so hard to hide from my family, my husband already knows and the fact that he lost his pack a few years ago, I can’t do this to my family, my kids too,” Katie said to her friend. She was contemplating going back to doing magic and staying with her family but a call is a call and you have to heed it, magic was her calling and it was running through her blood and her lineage.“Katie, this is not something to debate about, you know what to do and you know it is the right thing to do right now, you know how ancestors get when you don’t follow what they tell you, fate will befall your family. I don’t think you want that to happen, do you?” her friend questioned and she sighed deeply, she knew she had to make a choice and her family was her priority.“Okay, I don’t know what to do anymore and I don’t know if what I want to do is the right thing to do, I just want my family safe and s

“Mom, are you trying to say that you have been alive all these years?” Arya who had been all time listening to her mother asked shocked at the news.“Yes, and I am sorry I didn’t come sooner to check on you guys but I have been out of the country for a long now, things didn’t go as we planned but we didn’t know things will turn the other way round, I missed you and I was just surprised to see Dylan, I have been so happy in my life, seeing all my kids and my husband after over ten years, I am so happy to see you.” She said happily, she looked excited and Arya was happy that her mom was alive after all.“Mom, I don’t even know what to tell you right now, I am so happy to see you and at the same time, I don’t know what to tell you, I am just overly excited although I am not used to you in this body.” She said with a sly smile and Katie shook her head and then smiled.“I know I was not used to my body either but we both know I had no choice, I am just glad that your family i

They are your family and I don’t think they will give you a hard time, they love you and they will do anything for you, the only way to find out the truth is by bracing yourself and being ready for what is to come, whether bad or good you will at least know what they feel about you.” She advised and I nodded, I had already a locater spell on them so I knew exactly where to find them.“I know and thanks for being here for me the whole tie, I don’t know what I could have done without you, the only problem I have right now is accepting the rejecti

ARYA WAYNE LANCE If someone told me once in my life that I was going to be the Luna of the Red Crescent pack, I would say a big no, my life wasn’t always flowers and roses even though my family was royal and my father was an Alpha, no one liked me and when I say no one, I mean everyone from school and my pack. That is not even the problem because I didn’t care about that, what worried me was the fact that my life came to a halt when I didn’t get the normal changes on my body like other wolves in my pack and when I turned nineteen, I thought things were going to work for me finally but that is not how things turned out for me. And when my family lost their pack and everything, I knew there was nothing else left for me, I felt like my life was already tangled and I just wanted to grow up and get a life of my own but when my mother was ‘killed’ I knew life was over for me, I had lost my brother already and losing my mom was a big blow to me, my father was there for me the whole time a

THE MEMORIAL AFTER PARTY The plan for Leo’s memorial went on well, Sophia was able to pull up the whole invitation list and a lot of people attended, he was perhaps loved by a lot of people.“Leo was my great friend and he was loved by many, I included. He went too soon when we had just started becoming great partners on a business project we were working on but his legacy shall always live amongst us, I owe him one and it is not only that but I wish one day when we meet, I would tell him how his life has inspired most of us, just like in the famous show I watched some years back, a great man once said, ‘Los modales hacen al hombre’ until we meet again." Ryder said and everyone clapped, he wanted to say something during the memorial service and Arya let him, the two had become great friends and had been working on a project together before he died. “My son was good, just like his father, he always knew what to do and always put his family first, to him family was all about those who

When Arya got home that evening, she was busy with Rowena, she had started spending most of the time with her daughter ever since she lost her husband. “I didn’t think you would come so early today, how was work?” Sophia asked as soon as she walked into the house, she was carrying a bag in her other hand. “Yeah, I didn’t think I would come off early too but here I am, what have you got for us today, man I am starving and I didn’t want to bother the maids so?” she said as she walked up to her and took the bag from her. “I got your favourite, I figured out you don’t like cooking when you get back from work and all that, so I brought your favourite, how is she?” “She is okay, the flu is gone and I think she is okay, she is starting to get walk on her own and I can’t wait for her to grow up, she reminds me of Leo.” She said in a low tone and Sophia nodded, talking about her son was something she didn’t feel comfortable disusing especially after his death. “I know he is watching over h

Death is not something you would wish for your worst enemy, it strikes and reaps off our loved ones, a permanent thing with no reversal. Arya was in mourning for over one week and when they lay her husband to rest, she knew she had to partake in the duty of becoming the Alpha and continue serving her people just like Leo had always done before. “Things are not easy as they were, people have lost faith and they are still mourning their dead Alpha, I think we should give them time to recuperate and you know get back on their feet.” Beta Max reported to Arya week after the burial session was over. “No, I am the one grieving but I am here, can’t you see that, Max?” She shot back and Max sighed, he didn’t know what to say next so he just let her continue talking. “I know we are all grieving but I am here working for you guys, working for this pack because that is how much I love you guys, I lost a husband, the love of my life, the father to my baby, and my best friend but I am here at wor

The death of the alpha of the Red Crescent pack had spread fast across the basin, and many came in to console Arya who could barely hold herself together, she had cried the whole morning, and not even Emily was able to restore her faith that everything was going to be okay, her eyes were sore red and every time she looked at Leo’s body, the more tears streamed down her cheeks. “It is going to be okay; I don’t know how well I can put this, or how I can console you or make you feel better but I am going to be here for as long as you want, Leo is gone, I know it is the hard truth to say but that is the reality,” Emily said to her and Arya just nodded amidst tears, she was sobbing uncontrollably but Emily was there for her, calming her down.“You don’t understand Em, we just spoke this morning, had a long chat with him and he even asked to hold Rowena and you know…when he said he was dying…I thought he was overreacting and I assumed, I went to the bathroom and on coming back, he was gone…

The following morning Arya woke up earlier than usual, she breastfed Rowena at around five in the morning and went back to sleep, she was feeling tired and since Leo was still sleeping soundly next to her, she didn’t want to wake him up, she just pulled the duvet covers over them and went back to sleep. She was woken up a few minutes later by a groaning Leo, he seemed like he was in pain, she was suddenly alarmed and got up to check on him. “Babe, are you sure you are, okay? What is going on?” She asked worriedly and Leo just shook his head and moved to the other side of the bed, he was struggling to breathe and was constantly stopping to catch his breath. “I don’t think I have much time left, I am…I am dying my love…and…I don’t know what to say to you… right now but…it…is…time.” He said as struggled to breathe and Arya’s heart skipped a beat, they had just shared a great moment the previous night and didn’t think it was the last time they spent the night together and now he was try

Days after the deep discussion with her mother, Arya had a hard time thinking over what her mom had suggested, she didn’t know if it was the right thing to do. She contemplated talking to her husband Leo about it but every time she summoned enough courage to ask him about it, she backed out and decided not to.She was currently in her force going through the week’s schedule when she got a call from Miranda, the project they were working on was doing well.“Hey, I was passing by and I thought it would be best if we discussed something on what we are working on, I will be a bit busy next week. So, I didn’t want to be an inconvenience to you in case my schedule doesn’t match out.” She said over the phone.“Oh yeah, you can come I am just around going through some files over here but I can create some time for you, where are you?”“On my way over to you now.” She responded.“Just come to
