Many years passed, the people of Oluyole kingdom expected the great fall and the birth of the children who would make her rise again even after their demise. The king had the same dream again, exactly like the first one. That was just a message from the gods that the great fall is already at the corner but the dimension it's going to take, no body knew. They just had to be prepared for it. Even at that, Logos never seized to flourish bountifully. Everything still went on peacefully, which ignited the jealousy and fury of the nearby villages. Oluyole kingdom had the strongest army in all the villages that surrounded her, which made it difficult for them to strike her down but still, they didn't seize to nuture their hidden fury against Oluyole, they needed to strike a very MIGHTY BLOW against her. They started holding meetings upon meetings on how to strike this blow. They came to a resolution that the only way to strike Oluyole kingdom down is war. They all came together and sent an àrokò to king Aderoju, a message that wasn't easily understood.
King Aderoju(soliloquizing): What kind of message is this àrokò? It contains a gunpowder and the skeleton of a dead toad...Hmmmmmmm gods of my ancestors!! Please help me!! Help me......
The queen interrupted his thoughts, hugging him from the back.
Queen Adebisi: kábìyèsí!!! My husband!! You don't have to bother yourself too much on this. Just call onto your chiefs. I know and I believe you all will be wise enough to crack this hard knot. You guys are a great team and you know I don't like to see you in deep thoughts. I love you so much and I don't want to lose you now. Come back to me please...
The king sighed and faced his dear wife.
King Aderoju: Àsàbí You never seize to amaze me and you know what? I love you so much more than you think I do. Come on!! You're staying with me tonight.
Queen Àsàbí: No, not until you have your dinner.
King Aderoju: Hmmmmmmm!!! Then I'll have two different food tonight and that's the one you cooked and you yourself.
They laughed and ate before making love to themselves, the love that can never result to a baby. The next day, the king called his Chiefs and discussed the pressing matter with them.
King Aderoju: The subjects!! The reason I urgently called you is because of this.
He brought out the coded message from a bag not far from his reach and handed it to them. They passed it to themselves before handing it over to the king.
Iyalode: A gun powder and the skeleton of a toad? What is that suppose to mean?
Ashipa: Hmmmmn!!! The way I see this........but first, we need to first ask ourselves what's the personal use of these things ooooo or what do you think?
Osi: Yes!! You've made some point there. A gunpowder is used to kill when put in a gun. The dead toad is what I don't know.
Otun, who was silent since the meeting began spoke.
Otun: Hmmmmmmm!!! A fact. Gun powder is used to kill when it is put in a gun. Kábìyèsí!! If you won't say I'm stupid. It was the neighbouring villages that sent this, right?
King Aderoju: Yes?
Otun: And they're human beings like us too, right?
King Aderoju: Why this stupid question?
Otun: King I'm sorry to say this but this àrokò is passing no message other than we should be prepared for war.
Other chiefs: War??? How's that possible?
Otun: My King!! That was why I asked a stupid question "are they human being like us?". If they are, it means they know that a gunpowder can kill if it is put in a gun. They sent this gunpowder as a message to us, which means only one thing.
King Aderoju: That they will put the gun powder in their guns, come here and kill us all.
Otun: That's right my king.
Osi: And those taken as slaves will be starved to death and their bodies will be dumped in the open and left to dry until it becomes like that of that skeleton of a toad.
The king rose up immediately and the chiefs bowed in respect to the king.
King Aderoju: Almighty God!! The great fall is here now and we have to face it for the future of our unborn generation. Ashipa!!! Tell balogun to prepare for war. We still have to fight even though we know what the war holds for us.
He went into his chambers immediately and one after the other, the chiefs left for their homes.
"Wars come and go but my soldiers still stay alive"
This saying used to work for the soldiers of Oluyole kingdom before the great fall, when there was no one but slaves to tell the story of how the soldiers of Oluyole fought brutally to save their kingdom. They all died, all the men, children and some women were killed while the rest of them were taken as slaves. What a great fall it was for the people of Oluyole!! The slaves were taken away. Back then, slaves were taken for sale. At least, they'll be alive and hope for freedom in future but that wasn't the case for the people of Oluyole. They were all caged and left alone to starve to death except a wom. A merchant, who was heading south, saw them along the footpath heading away from Oluyole to where they were left alone.Merchant (Soliloquizing): Oh no!! These are slaves!! I need to buy one of them for my pleasure. He stopped them.Merchant: Hello my brothers!!! How are you doing? I pretty sure these are captives taken after war ended.A man who seemed to be the head of the warriors answered him. His name was ogunniyi.Ogunniyi: Yes brother!! Why did you stop us? These slaves aren't for sale.Merchant: Oh no!! I'm sorry but just let me buy one of them at any price y
What a pity!! Fate has made Oluwafunke and her unborn baby forest dwellers. What future does the forest holds for them? She became a lone person with no companion to talk with, share thoughts and feelings with or even play with. All she did was just to walk deep in the woods, sleep under shades of big trees, find something to eat and run away from dangerous animals. One day, she had a deep sleep and her mother appeared to her in her dream. Àsàké: Oluwafunke! Oluwafunke!! Oluwafunke!! Omo mi!! She turned opened her eyes and saw the spirit of her mother. Oluwafunke: Mumi!!! For many days I've been in this scary forest alone. Maami!! I should have chosen to be his wife than to be alone here in the open. She sighed, sat next to her daughter and placed her head on her chest. Àsàké: Hmmmmmmm!! Omo mi!! What you don't know is that being out here in the open is far better than being his wife because you'll end up being a slave again and that slavery t
As kids, Taiwo and Keyinde omo Olufunke loved themselves. The bravery in them was no match to kids of the same age range with them. Their strengths was enough to kill a lion. You know the kind of love I have for my brother, it's as if he shouldn't leave my side for once...abi Taye??Taiwo: yes ooooHe held his sister's hand sideways firmly.Taiwo: Mu
The lives of Taiwo and Keyinde omo Olufunke became nothing to write home about after the demise of their mother. They wandered deeper into the woods like a lost hunter. They walked for many days with little or no food and water to satiate their thirst and hunger.Keyinde: Taiwo please let's have a rest here. We've been walking all day with no food and water and no animal came our way because we're already lost in this part of the forest and no animal can come here except for the big snakes. Please let's take a rest before we fall out of weakness and hit our heads on hard rocks. He sighed as he heeded his sister's advice.Taiwo: Let's rest on that tree trunk and maybe sleep there for the night.Keyinde: Okay....... what are we going to eat? We've not eaten anything for days now.Taiwo: Wait here let me go find some fruits for us.Keyinde: Okay!! Please be quick oooo I can't bear to loose you tooHe kissed her on her forehead.Ta

Many days passed, Taiwo and Keyinde learnt many things in the wolf way, almost forgetting their human natural behavior. They only talked like humans when they were alone together. On the same tree they used to talk alone, they talked about their progress.Keyinde: Hmmm....now we're gradually becoming animals in human form.Taiwo: Yes!! Learning their ways is the only way to survive alone in this jungle.Keyinde: That's true though!! Mother is watching over us everyday.Taiwo: I know she'd be happy with us wherever she is right now. I miss her a lot.Keyinde: I miss her tooJust then they heard the loud whistle of the bird in the sky passing a message throughout the jungle that the wolves have done the unthinkable, making mancubs their alpha and beta. Almost immediately, all the wolves stood, ready to fight anyone who trespassed their territory. For thousands
After that night, they began to blame themselves for giving chance to the devil to tempt them. Keyinde knew she was the one who let the devil into their midst so she had to apologize to her brother. She did that after the council meeting with the alpha animals. She knelt before him.Keyinde: Taiwo!! I know I'm the one to be blamed for our predicament. Please, forgive me!! For..........He interrupted her.Taiwo: Did our plea to mother last night made her reverse the punishment?Keyinde: Just for.......He interrupted her bluntly and very harsh.Taiwo: Did it?? Answer my question..Keyinde: No but.....He interrupted her again bluntly.Taiwo: Same as this plea of yours too. Had it been it can change or reverse the punishment, I'd have gladly forgiven you but no, it can't so just get up now and get
And Taiwo rose from the dead. "What a miracle!!" Dyanga was really happy that for the first time in her life, she was able to rise a man from the dead and give him life again. She only heard tales of how it happened from her parents, she never tried it before but then, she did it. Her confidence didn't fail her. But the risen merman didn't remember anything about how he got there.Dyanga: Marimar dakula malisi Eywa!! Marimar dakula malisi Eywa!! Marimar dakula malisi Eywa!! Marimar dakula............(All thanks to Eywa)Taiwo interrupted her with his surprise and anxious question.Taiwo: Where am I?She continued thanking Eywa.Dyanga: Marimar dakula malisi Eywa!! Marimar dakula malisi Eywa!!! Marimar dakula malisi Eywa!!! Marimar dakula........He interrupted her again, a bit harsh this time.Taiwo: I said where am I???
Paris jealousy grew as he saw Taiwo and Marina's love grew stronger day by day. He sorted out ways to get them separated but all to no avail. Keyinde was always feeling that her brother was or would soon get in trouble and she had to save him. Paris called his friends and explained his plight to them. Everything happened exactly the way it was shown to keyinde in her dream. She woke up suddenly from a very deep sleep screaming to the extent that she woke some of the slaves up, including her friend Omolabake.Omolabake: What happened? Why did you scream and woke everyone up by this time of the night? All she did was panting very fast like she just escaped from an hungry lion. Omolabake got closer to her and placed her hands over her shoulders.Omolabake: What's wrong with you? Did you just had a nightmare? Did something bit you?She finally spoke after a lot of questioning and consolation.&nbs
