We climbed up the stairs towards Dad's study and he sat on the chair as the butler gave him some medicine. I walked towards the window that overlooked the garden. I looked outside to see all the flowers that once blossomed with love and happiness had their head bowed gloomily.
*FLASHBACK*
"You are talking to your Queen, stay in your limits" Jane spoke in a cold voice
"I don't care whatever happens, "I am telling you"" Aubrey shouted
"Who are you to tell her what to do?, leave this instance or else" Amy came and pushed her back as the guard surrounded her.
"You are going to pay for this" Aubrey shouted as the guards took her away.
*FLASHBACK END*
This was the last thing that I ever saw from my father's study before we left for NYC. I took a deep breath before realization hit me.
" 'Larie is your mother okay? Have you seen her?" Dad asked me after he finished his water.
"Yeah, she is okay Dad, she is fine" I assured him and turned around to see that we were alone in the study.
"Dad, the day we left. A woman came and shouted at mother. Who was she?" I sat down in front of him. He smiled sadly.
"Aubrey Blaine, the last in the French line who was murdered the very next day before Amy turned her back on us. Her face was burned but she was wearing her ancestral jewels, that is how people recognized her. People can be so decisive." He heaved a sad sigh. I nodded as he continued.
"We left for NYC, leaving Amy in charge but look what she did to us. I was a commoner, not supernatural so she banished me inside these walls, enchanting them so I couldn't leave. As for your mother and Henry, she captured them and jailed them with the help of her people. I was never able to see anybody until Hayden came ten years later. I remembered the boy and he helped me quite a lot." I smiled when he mentioned his name. Upon noticing my smile he gave me a questioned gaze.
"We are engaged" I told him and his eyes lit up as he hugged me.
"Congratulations, I like your choice. He won't let you down. Now, go on make yourself at home" He patted my back and I left the study to find Hayden.
I was running down the stairs when I bumped into him. I was about to fall but he caught me in mid air.
"WOAH, calm down. What is the rush about?" He chuckled, steadying me.
"I just realized something, I know who Amy really is?" I said, still panting.

"They are in London right now, in James Manor" The man told her as the woman threw the vase at the mirror which cracked into fragments and disposed of on the ground.
"YOU COULDN'T CATCH THEM WHAT THE HELL AM I PAYING YOU FOR BASTARDS GO AND FIND SOMEONE FROM THE ATLAS THAT CAN STRENGTHEN THE ENCHANTMENTS'' She screamed at the man, who scurried away. She looked like a psychopath as she threw whatever came in her hand. She scratched her own face, screaming like a maniac.

"What are you trying to say?" He asked, confused.
"Your mother, Amy, she was pure British right. So, you see the Amy that we all are up against isn't your mother because she has a slight touch of French accent. Your mother on the other hand is British and even if she were to stay in America, which was of course in front of you, she can't possibly turn French out of nowhere." I turned around to face him as we climbed down the stairs, he crashed into me bewildered. I steadied myself as he still didn't get it. I kept my mouth shut for a while so he could process what I had just said. Upon realizing he just sat down on the stairs his hands trying to grasp something. I held it as he processed all the events.
*FLASHBACK*
"Go and hide and don't come outside until I tell you, Okay. Don't at all" The woman ordered the child as she hid him before going downstairs. The child looked down through the vents through which the scene of downstairs was visible.
"What do you want Aubrey?" The woman asked, dislike visible in her voice.
"Well, well, well aren't you a loyal little dog?" Aubrey advanced towards the woman and as she neared him she threw a fluid at her. The woman screamed as she closed her eyes tightly and Aubrey laughed evilly as she closed her hands on her throat as the woman thrashed around until she was still. She removed her hands and came up where the kid was hiding, she looked around but couldn't find it. Cursing around she went back downstairs. She called someone and the man came and picked her up. She disappeared from the view. The child came outside when he saw his mother gone. But as he came outside the vent, something hit him on his head and everything went blank.
*FLASHBACK END*
"The woman that did it, was French" He spoke in a daze.
"Who did what?" I asked him, but instead of replying he ran upstairs. I followed him upstairs. He ran into Dad's study.
"The woman who was the last French didn't die. She was the one who killed my mother. They say the French woman's face was burned, it was mother, not her. I saw it all. She killed my mother and then I didn't remember anything. I woke up to see that my mother was evil. But she wasn't. There is something behind that woman. She is not my mother. She is not Amy Daunter. Amy Daunter was pure British. That woman that poses as my mother has a French accent." He spoke all in one go. I gave him a glass of water as he sat down. Dad was looking at us as if we had gone mad.
"I don't know what to say because I can not do anything. We still do not know what is right and wrong. We need some valid information. Relying on some flashbacks won't help. We have to stay calm and patient. Try to find Jane or Henry. They can possibly tell you something that can help. Try no to let it out" He advised us. We nodded before leaving the study.
Henry Daunter was the son of Alcott Harper Daunter and Luna Evelyn Daunter. Henry Daunter and Jane James are siblings. Henry married off to Amy Arthur and had a son named Hayden Daunter. Their family was separated when Amy turned their back on them and claimed the crown to herself for she was also a James. She jailed Henry Daunter and was named the Queen.
This was what the world knew of Amy Daunter. But it was different from what her son saw.
It was night time when after Dinner Clare bid her father good night. She was going to her room, when she saw Hayden sitting in the backyard with a guitar. She slipped on her jacket and went outside.
"I didn't know you had such a side" I sat beside him.
"Time changes, people change, most of all, you change" He gave a cold sigh.
"Strum a song, I'll sing along. Ohh, that rhymed!" I exclaimed as he started strumming. I recognized the beat immediately. It was Rewritten by Anne Marie and James Arthur.
The residents of The James Manor were seeing the backyard glow after fifteen years. It seemed that it had finally come back to life. Their servants and maid gathered around as they sang the song. James was standing in the balcony of his room and smiling knowing that her daughter had found her happiness.
The song ended and everyone clapped and Katie who stood among them hooted. I laughed and clapped along with them.
"I sing well. don't I?" I smiled cockily at Hayden.
"Yeah, narcissism is something you do quite well" He replied as I glared at him, my mouth turning in a smile.
"Good morning" I skipped down to the dining room where everybody was already present on the table. I hugged my dad and sat down, piling food on my plate."What are you going to do today?" Dad questioned me.
"Because you are one of those girls that know nothing. You just want someone that could obey you and provide you with all the luxuries you want. And that includes sleeping around too. So tell me, how many guys have you slept around with, before you came here, declaring that you love me" He whispered harshly before screaming at the guards to take her away. He stood up, his hands clenched to his sides, before he turned around storming towards me. Before I could process anything, his lips crashed into mine.
After driving around for at least half an hour we stopped in front of a diner. Hayden went inside and bought two take out boxes. It was a cheese burger and loaded fries, along with a drink. I took it from him quietly and ate the food. After throwing the boxes away, he turned the car back on the road to home. He stopped the car in the parking of the house. I stepped outside making my way towards the door when I felt someone grip my hand. It was Hayden. I tried to let go but his grip was too tight. He stopped, holding my shoulders to keep me in place.
"You know that I am better than you," He commented. jumping in the ring."Narcissism was my thing" I defended myself as he threw a punch at me.
"Ivy once told me that you hated hugs when you were a kid" I told him."Hmmm, the things you have done to me." He tickled me and a laughter erupted from my mouth as I thrashed around.
"I found his birth certificate. Sometimes human resources help you far more than you think they can." I pointed out. The office phone rang. Hayden dialed a number and soon after the door opened revealing Selena. She smiled at us."So, what did you find?" I asked her as she sat down after meeting us.
"All right gentleman, lets go" Dad's voice boomed as we made our way outside."What about the women? Are they going to stay here?" Katie asked him jokingly.
"Perks of being rich, having guards with you even you know how to fight" Dom who was making his way outside, commented bitterly and I turned towards him confused. Hayden ignored him and went up stairs. I followed Dom outside who was talking to somebody but the name he mentioned stopped me in my tracks."Amy Daunter is here in London and I have to go a
“What happened?” Ashton held me by my shoulder.“Nothing, just a dream” I looked around, noticing I was in my room.“Then why were you screaming?” He asked me.“I am fine, really” I reassured him, standing up from my bed. I walked towards my closet throwing it open. Taking out a change of clothes, I went inside the bathroom. After changing, I came outside to see Ashton talking on the phone, his brows scrunched. He dropped the call, as he saw me.“Jog?” He asked. I nodded and he led the way outside. I plugged in my airpods as we jogged our way to a nearby park. Lip Syncing to my playlist, I jogged away my depression. I was singing when I looked behind when someone tapped my shoulder. I looked ba
“What in the damn world is that?” I whipped around on Ash’s voice, and the sight left me in a shock.“The ninth wonder of the world” I spoke in shock. A light whirl was in the air radiating different colours out of it. It took us a while to fully understand what it was.“A faerie” I gasped out loud.“Faerie?” She laughed in a sing-song voice. I nodded dumbfounded.“I am not just a faerie, I am the messenger of the queen from the Seelie Domain” She explained.“And you are here for?” I asked her, suppressing my emotions and succeeding in it.“You know how to use your powers, now, don&rsqu
“Is that Hayden?” Ivy’s asked shocked and my heart tightened on the mention of his name. I may have not known him as a brother but his death was something I saw with my two bare eyes.“Ivy, go inside we are coming” Jeremy's voice was stern.“Why? You guys were out without me the whole day and now you won’t tell me if he is Hayden or not” Tears welled up in her eyes.“Ivy, not now” He closed his eyes in frustration. I got up and touched the body of the woman and it transformed into ashes by the intensity of heat coming out of my hands. I stood up brushing my hands against my pajama pants.“I’ll talk to her” I patted Jeremy’s shoulder, who looked at me thankfully. I came inside
We looked up at the sky as little sparkling dots surrounded the moon. “Petits Espirits” We both whispered at the same time, looking at the sky. We were still staring at the sky when we heard footsteps running. We both turned around saying Jeremy’s name simultaneously, knowing it was him. He was pointing at the sky.“Petits Espirits” He called out loud.“Yeah so?” I asked him.“Legend says that they come down to protect the protector of the Magna. Et toi, petits esprits, tu seras envoyé de l'Eden au-dessus pour protéger le protecteur de Magna.” I gave him a look, destroying the moment.“What exactly does it mean?” I asked him not knowing what the hell he had just said in french.
I stood up, excitement evident in my moves. A doctor entered and took off his drips that were finished and advised him to take his vitamins daily. He nodded his head to his advice. I was already out the door with Jeremy while he came behind us. We checked out of the hospital andmade our way toward the apartments. We had picked up some groceries on our way. Entering his apartment, we looked around. It was spacious and more decorated than our’s.“You have a nice apartment,” Jeremy commented.“You have the same as well,” He replied.“But somehow your’s is better,” I argued. He shrugged his shoulders. I made my way outside on the balcony and inhaled the fresh air. I raised my head when I felt someone beside me. I whipped
“Hayden is dead, then who is he and why is he so similar to him?” I asked him.“It’s a long story,” He sighed.“I am listening” I sat down in the chair in front of him.“Hayden is his twin brother. Ashton’s twin brother. They were twins but no one knew. They often exchanged their places...”“So, who am I married too?” I interrupted.“Ashton” He replied and I gave out a sigh.“Wait so whenever he called me by my nickname ‘Larie, It was Ash?” I queried.
I woke up in the morning on the sound of my phone ringing.“What are you thinking?!” I shouted at the phone, picking up the call.“It is eleven in the morning” A deep voice came from the phone.“And who are you, my personal alarm?” I snapped back.“Whatever you want me to be” I heard him chuckle.“Then, what should I call you?” I asked him.“Just leave it,” He replied.“Nah, uh, Tell me or should I call you Hayden” I persisted.
“We need the help of faeries and only over there we can find one. Now come on,” She sat in her car and I sat in my car. And we drove up towards the graveyard. Yes, that is where we are going. After an hour-long drive we reached our destination. We moved towards the back of the graveyard. Six large stones, about right feet tall, were submerged in the ground with torches attached to them and a stone slab in the middle of them.A woman approached us, when we entered the circle, her hands holding fire as she lit the torches.“You seem disappointed” She turned to me.“Uh, well, You don’t look like a fairy at all” I looked at her from tip to toe.“No, I don’t need wing
