Selena’s POVClutching my phone tightly, I resumed pacing about my room with a large scowl on my face. With the way things were going, I had to come up with a plan, else I would become the victim. “Selena, what exactly is the problem? You have been this way since last night, tell me, who knows if I can be of help.” Jhenna, my friend said. “You can’t help me now.” I replied, scrolling through my phone. “What makes you think so? Just tell me, even if I can’t help you like you said, I can recommend someone to help you.” She said persistently. Her attitude of always trying to offer help whenever I needed it was one thing that made me adore her, but right now, instead of adoring her, I was beyond pissed. “Stay away from me.” I yelled, when she tried to come close. “Come on, stop acting as if I’m a villain when in the real sense I’m just trying to help. Selena’s POV My joy, which was supposed to last forever, was cut short when I got a call from Ricky. Thinking he wanted to apologize for ignoring my calls and texts, I picked his call with a bright smile. “Hello dear.” I cooed, twisting my hair in-between my fingers. “End it.” His cold response came. I had to take my phone off my ear to confirm his identity. This was the first time he was speaking so coldly to me. Even when he discovered I was the reason Eric returned and began to make trouble, he didn’t speak to me with this tone. “Why the sour tone? Shannon’s POVMy eyelids fluttered open but the bright light made me shut it almost immediately. I could hear background voices but I couldn’t decipher what they were talking about. Trying to find out what was going on around me, I forced my eyes open only to discover I was on a hospital bed, surrounded with sterile white walls and medical equipment which were beeping continuously. My body was aching all over, and my head, throbbing with pains added to my frustration. With my eyes tightly shut, I allowed confusion to wash over me as I tried to remember what had happened. Shannon’s POV After that encounter with mom, our relationship became strained. She noticed I was still mad at her, so she tried all that was within her power to please me, yet, I didn’t budge.
