ELEANOR

Driving my way through the gate, I was led by one of the guards to the lot where I should pack.

No one needed to tell me I wouldn't make it out today, so I had made up my mind from the onset to spend a few days in the Witch's house.

Suddenly, a maid, instead of the guard who had led me to the lot, was standing in front of me. “Welcome to the Witch's abode, Eleanor. I am your maid throughout your stay in this Pack. Shall I lead you to your room?”

Recovering from the shock, I gave the woman a nod. “Sure. Shall we?” I looked at the trunk and walked towards it.

“You must give me a moment to grab that.”

After grabbing my bag, I walked behind the lady who led me through a hallway.

It was a very beautiful place to be in, but I feared greatly for my life, especially when I recalled the moment when a witch turned from a guard to a maid. But what could I do, or say? I needed this help and this is why I have come.

“Shall I see the Head Witch today?”

She stopped in her tracks, sh

SAGEIt wasn't long since I became a pathetic woman. Sorrows had become my name and pain my meal. Staying by myself became a hobby and I loved it more than anything. More than even setting eyes on the members of the Pack who wanted to say a word or even two to me. This morning, for an unknown reason, tears were running down my face. I had woken up to see the wet sheets and I didn't need to ask before understanding that it was the happenings around me that made me have one of those nightmares where I saw things I shouldn't see. Even while asleep. Aegon, as usual, was gone from the bed this morning. He had gone to hunt, or maybe play around with the Alpha who said nothing to me. I didn't want him to say a word to me, after all. Jumping on my feet, I was reaching for the bathroom where my face would be washed. After which I walked out back to see that Aegon had returned to the chamber. There were smiles on his face, leaving me wondering what the occasion was about as I thought ab

SAGE By evening, the chamber looked like I wanted it to be. “You have done nothing but a good job, Aella. How about you go ahead and have something to eat?” “My lady. I don't have to eat. It's not the time for maids to have something to eat. Do you want me to get you food?” “No, you don't have to—” Happiness could be heard in the tone I spoke with. “You know, I'm more than happy now and don't need food. Moving into this chamber is all I need and would need for a very long time.” The woman smiled. She nodded and looked around the chamber. “Aside from bringing you food, is there something you want me to do for you?” She walked to the closet area, and looked at it before moping at me who was still all smiles. “No. Aella, you're done for the day. Right now, I need a bath and you don't have to worry. I'll take my meal from the kitchen when I'm ready. Do you understand me?” She nodded, bowed, and looked around the space again. “Right away, my lady. Give me some time. Let me know

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   103: TAKE MY BLOOD.

SAGESince I moved into the chamber, life had never been sweeter and I loved everything that happened around me since. This morning, I opened my eyes on the large bed with a smile on my face. The usual tears that were in my eyes whenever I came awake didn't occur anymore and one thing I looked forward to was having something to eat. Hunger could be termed as my other name. Looking at the door, I sat up on the bed and heaved a sigh. So many thoughts were running around in my head as I wondered which one to do before the day would finally begin in the space of a few hours. Or even less. Yet, another sigh ran out of my mouth when I walked to the closet. If there was one thing I needed, it was the maid who worked with me in this space and checking out the closet for an outfit of the day. But what could I do? The woman was not here, even though she could be if I called out to her. Nonetheless, I faced the closet and dug in as I searched for an outfit of the day, nodding in satisfact

KNOXThe woman, guilty and at the same time, innocent, moped at me—waiting for an answer I didn't know if I was willing to give. What was she trying to do? This wasn't the right thing to do. “No—” My head shook with the smile that was on my face. “You don't have to do this, Sage. You know you don't.” I continued walking, but Sage, who looked like she'd made up her mind, did not walk with me—which I hated. How could she stop walking? I loved this moment with her and would swap it for another at all, but not taking her blood. “Can you—” I cried. “Can you stop already?” I cried again and heaved a sigh. “How about we shifted from the sight of the wolves? It's not the full moon, and you know this.” “It doesn't have to be the full moon.” Again, Sage walked and caught up with me. “Your nephew used to drain me of blood until I stopped him from doing so. Do you want me to remind you that he asked for blood on days that weren't the full moon? I don't have an issue with giving you some

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   105 : TELL AELLA

ELEANOR It felt good to be back in the Pack, but this wasn't the time to think about how good it felt to be here. It was time to think about my next step. It was the evening of the day I had returned from the Witch's chamber, and I had just woken up from a nap I embarked on a long while ago. Looking around my chamber, I tried to recall. Was there something I was missing? Maybe not. I jumped off the bed and rushed to the door just to see and check if I had locked it before I went ahead to sleep. A sigh of relief ran out of my mouth when I checked the door and saw that it was locked. But that was not all. My legs now led me to the couch where not just a seat was taken, but the bag which I returned with from the Witch's abode was resting. The potion was in it. My box was pushed to a corner of the chamber. Apparently, I didn't need that box for anything. Anything at all, but rather, it was my handbag that was in need and that I was about to attend to. What do I do? Was I rea

ELEANOR I could see the shock on her countenance. But at the same time, it was funny how I didn't give a fuck or damn about whatever it was that went through her mind. “Wh—what do you mean, Lady Eleanor?” Aella asked. She now pointed at the bottle in my hand. “And wh—what's that? What's that supposed to be?” A wicked smile came on my face. I walked over to the other window before turning to face Aella who still moped at me, waiting for an answer. “Are you telling me you don't know what this is, Aella?” I fell on the bed and still looked at her. “It's poison. A slow poison that will be used in killing that woman—lady Sage or whatever it is you call her. Do you understand already?” “No—” she shook her head. At this point, she was beginning to annoy me. “What is wrong with you?!” My tone increased. “How can you tell me or rather, act like you don't know what this is? It's poison. And you'll be needing it for our next project.” “No. No, my lady—” she mouthed with a smile of shock.

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   107: GOODNEWS

KNOXSince the minute Sage gave blood to me, I had felt nothing but good—even days later. Down to the next week, even. This morning, I woke up with a slight headache. So many thoughts. No, very little ran around in my mind. Sitting up on the bed, I wondered what transpired the night before. What went on in my head and why did I have such a headache at this time of the morning? Oh, I had drunk too much last night. A sigh ran out of my mouth and I jumped to my feet, leading my way to the couch where a seat was quickly taken. I snapped my fingers the very next moment, looking forward to Brian who should be in the space of the room in a short while. “Good morning, Brian. Did you sleep well?” The man moped at me, shaking his head. Just about that time, I recalled. “Oh, it wasn't your shift last night. I almost forgot you duty more than the other men. I'm hoping you have a good rest very soon.” “Thank you, my lord.” Why did I call him into my chamber? I tried so hard to recall,

ELEANOR My life did not remain the same, compared to what it was before I was moved into the chamber where Aegon lived. On the first night of my stay in the chamber, I did nothing but roll around the bed as I searched for nothing in particular. It was a dream come true and at the same time, I found it hard to close my eyes in the name of sleeping. This morning, I opened my eyes on the large bed. My head was free and my body was free also. Just then, I looked to my right and there he was—a man I've always wanted to share a bed with. The man I loved more than every other man. A man I'd love to spend the rest of my life with. How did it happen? Was this even happening? A smile appeared on my countenance and I looked at my right again, facing the ceiling the next moment. I shut my eyes and nodded in satisfaction, wondering what my day would look like. There was no need to bother, or was there? The people in these kinds of chambers did not worry about anything at all, or did the

ELEANOR “No. No.” The words ran out of my mouth as I shook my head in disagreement even when I knew there was nothing I could do about it. “No.” Again, I stared at the piece of paper - reading the lines I did not even understand in order to check and see if there was something I understood in it. I could not be pregnant, could I? How could I not be pregnant? The Prince and I have had sex a couple of times and there was no way he did not cum in me and maybe that was because he didn't know I wasn't pregnant. After all, if the man knew about my schemes, he would not have done what he did. After pacing the chamber for a while, I caught up with the bed and was seated in it the very next moment - my head filled with so many thoughts - including how this had become a good thing for us. Wasn't it? At least, I had become pregnant, normally - like every other pregnant woman who had real hormones. This was going to happen to me as well, even though I didn't want it but in another way, I

ELEANOR The next morning, I walked out of my chamber with a sober look on my countenance.I didn't want to assume things. Not until I heard from the doctor - the more reason I was leading my way to the hospital at this time of the day. “Good morning, lady Eleanor—” someone greeted, causing me to stop in my tracks automatically. “Good morning to you, too—” I mouthed. I had a question to ask, but on second thought, I changed my mind about it and resumed my movement. “You should have a good day at the end of today.” In no time, I caught up with the gate of the pack. Looking around, I caught sight of the Alpha and Aegon who moped at me with suspicious looks on their faces. Maybe - just maybe they thought I was about to leave for a moment of my own just as I termed it the other day. I didn't have to explain to them but I walked in their direction. “Good morning, Alpha Knox.” I greeted the older man with a bow and faced Aegon who faked a smile. Maybe it wasn't fake either. “Good morn

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   118: Mission Accomplished

ELEANOR The next morning, I paced the space of my chamber with a confused look on my countenance - many thoughts running around in my head but one more than the other. How the hell didn't I realize this was a hard task? Maybe. Just maybe that was why Aella could not do a good job in the first instance. Who knew? A sigh ran out of my mouth and I stopped pacing. What do I do? It was very early in the morning. Not many wolves had woken up but there was me who did - especially because I needed to think about how to add this potion to the meal of my sister who sure was asleep. “Oh, no—” a loud cry ran out of my mouth again. What do I do?There was nothing I knew I could do except put in the potion just as the old Witch instructed. And I was going to do that even though I wasn't sure whether this operation would be a successful one or not. Walking back to the bed, I took a seat on it and then lay on my back before drifting to sleep. As soon as the main morning arrived, I was lead

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   117: BACK FOR A MISSION.

ELEANOR It was four days after the meeting with the Witch. As expected and after a long wait, the maid assigned to me came over to announce how ready the old man was. “He's asked for you to be in his chamber.” I was ready - more than ready so there was no need to take a bath since I had taken one about an hour ago. “I'm ready to meet with him. Shall we leave?” Not saying a word, the young woman walked before me while I took my place behind her. Together, we walked and as expected, she stopped at the door of the chamber. “You can go in.” She announced before walking away. Not knocking, I pushed the door open and walked into the chamber - catching sight of the old man. “Good day, old man—” I caught up with the center of the room. “I have come just as you have asked. Shall I take a seat?” He nodded, pointing at the couch I was seated on the other day. “Thank you for coming—” he announced, sitting up on the couch. “The potion we talked about is very much ready. Are you ready to do

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   116: AN IDEA.

ELEANOR A day after I arrived at the Witch's mansion, the maid assigned to me came over to my chamber to let me know that the old Witch had become more than ready to see me. It was good news - more than good news because the last time I was here, it took me more than a day to see the man. “You must be ready in the next hour.” The maid who came to make the announcement sounded. “I shall return so that you can be taken to the chamber of my master.” Nodding, I got out of bed and reached the bathroom where I washed up, getting more than ready the next time I showed up in the chamber. Where was this maid? Didn't she say she would be here in the next hour? Or was it not an hour yet? Left with no choice, I relaxed on the bed while waiting for the maid to once again show up. A hand knocked on the door, announcing the presence of the maid who had come to take me with her. I let her in with a snap of my fingers. “I'm ready. When shall we leave?” I now sat up on the bed and watched the w

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   115: NOT DEAD

ELEANOR Why the hell was she alive and not yet dead?! Another two months had passed and there was no way she was dead. At least, not yet. What was she doing alive? This morning, I woke up with a worried look on my countenance. There was a lot went through my mind as I tried to balance this - especially why my sister—step-sister did not die and was very much still alive. There was no way I could make it make sense because it didn't make any sense to me also. Sage should be dead at this point but she wasn't—at least, not yet. Not yet? If she hadn't died for over two months, when would she finally be dead? I jumped off the bed and looked to my left to meet Aegon who was very much awake - a smile on his countenance. He wasn't smiling at me. He fixed his gaze on the ceiling and looked at me when he felt my gaze on his face. “Good morning—” the smile disappeared from his face and he jumped on his feet. “I should go hunting with the other men.” In a short while, the door opened and

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   114: MISSING HER.

KNOXThere was no way I would not miss her. All the time, whenever I set eyes on the bed where I lay all night, all I could think about was Sage and the sweet moment we shared on this same bed. What more could I ask for? A knowing smile came on my countenance this evening while I stared at the bed again, as usual. It had somehow become a daily sacrifice for me - the kind of sacrifice I could never overlook and over again, I looked forward to carrying out this sacrifice another time. A hand on the door cut short my thoughts. I let my gaze disappear from the bed, catching up with the door and pulling it so that it could be open. “Yes, Brian. What do you want from me this time around?” Opening the door wider, I watched him walk into the chamber. Without wasting time, I caught up with the bed but did not allow my thoughts to move in that direction. There was something to attend to, obviously, and that was something I was about to do. “Tell me. What is it?” Again, Brian bowed. “My

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   113: WIN. AGAIN!

SAGEEver since the other night—with Alpha Knox, we didn't set eyes on each other again. An act from my end. What were we seeing each other for? What would I say to him? Waking up this morning, I felt very much better than a few days ago when a fever started. What did I do to deserve that? I sat up, relieved from not throwing up like the other nights—and then led my way to the mirror in a corner of the chamber so that I could check myself out. Oh, yes. As usual, I looked good. Once. Twice. Thrice, I shook my head to see if it still hurt. But then, I walked back to the bed to take a seat when I realized how better I had become. All the thanks to Aella. Where was she? The woman needed as much rest as she could get, the last time I checked. She had done more than a lot in these past few days and my wish was to let her be by herself, resting, throughout today. But who was it that knocked at the door? “Lady Sage?” I should have known. Aella would not take the rest I knew sh

  • THE SILVER HEAD LUNA; WHEN HER WOLF HOWLS   112: SIGHT HER.

ELEANOR The morning came and I was unsettled. There were so many thoughts running around in my head as soon as I opened my eyes on the large bed this morning. What did she go to do? Sage. What did Sage go to do in that area at that time of the morning? I sat up on the bed and looked around for Aegon, not also surprised that he was not somewhere on the bed or even the room, especially when this was something he always did. Aegon should be the least of my concerns. There was something I needed to do than think about why Aegon was not in the chamber with me or on the bed. I got up on my feet and walked to the window so that I could take a look, after which I let go before returning to the bed. Returning to my thoughts. I had seen Sage pass through the hallway in the early hours of the morning when I took a stroll. Sleeping was quite hard for me and in order to not feel worse than I feel, I made up my mind to take a stroll and think of possible ways to feel better. There were
