Chapter 4. The birth of the seer

He was very upset, he ordered for them to be captured and be punished, he wanted them to be thrown in the dungeon like common criminals, he felt betrayed, he was betrayed by the people he loved most, he needed to pay back.

His subjects started to gossip, he looked weaker Infront of his king mates, his enemies got a perfect time to strike, his subjects had started losing faith in him, his wives also looked down on.

His rage was uncontrollable, the queen mother felt his anger, she knew he was going to harm them. She thought of a plan to save her child and her grandchild. whilst the king was busy in search for them.

The queen ordered for them to be chased and be sent on the evil forest, she had already organized for them to be received by one of her friends in the neighboring kingdom, she ordered one of her loyal servants to make sure they get there safe,

“Am sorry my lady but your friend won’t be able to help them out, his majesty had ordered for her to be under surveillance” a maiden informed her.

Her plan was destroyed, she had no idea on how to handle the situation.

‘I have no choice but to let them go to evil forest, may our lord protect them.’ She prayed for them and let them go. She was devasted letting go of her only son, her dreams of holding a grandchild were shuttered.

 The daughter of the seer Regina, lost in her thoughts again.

‘Grandma she is having the e same look again, should we talk to her? let me go to her,’ Joel insisted

‘Hold it right there I think we should let her be,’

A soft voice of nana called out.

Regina went back to normal, with a disturbing look on her, she went close to her nana and spoke to her

‘Grandma I have this vision the keeps on appearing over and over, two good looking people are being chased and driven to evil forest, I just saw how they will be eaten by the wild animals,’ she was very disturbed, think I’m losing my mind but hey are very real can feel, anyway let’s leave it there I will go fetch some firewood, as she avoided the matter

Oh, my girl you, must be the one you must be the seer the only one alive, grandma spoke out loud, she wanted her to hear. But all seers have protectors then who is her protector? She speculated.

‘Yes of course am the one, but I don’t want to be, my dad killed my mom, and the king killed my dad, if I be a seer that will mean I also have to leave you guys and die, I can’t go I won’t help them I’m attached to you guy,’ she mumbled

She was restless caught up in the middle of her duty, her destiny, and her family, nana observed her with so much concern, her body language spoke more, she was asking for permission to go but didn’t want to say out loud, she was not ready to be called a seer she was just little girl.

Nana understood her worries, my child if you have a chance to save them then do it please, Nana insisted. Her facial showed it though she did not tell her direct, Regina understood her.

They were both trying to protect Joel, he was too young to understand all that

‘But how will I leave you guys, my heart tells me to go my mind tells me to stay, I     I have to do my duties but how will I go without letting grandma know that I have gone, I have decided to save them,’ she made up her mind

Joel closely observed them, he knew they were speaking in signs, he was very cunning, he followed her sister he was curious to know where she was heading, he understood a lot but pretended to be a kid, after all he is a witch’s son, he had the ability to read peoples’ mind.

she walked a long way and he was getting impatient, he wanted to walk with her the hide and seek game was getting for him,

‘Hey big sister where are we going,’ he startled her

‘Uh come on you followed me am going in a very dangerous mission please go home and take care of grandma please’ he tried to reason out with him, but he was determined to follow her, it was a long way back home, he needed someone to escort him back.

It’s too late am already here let’s just go’ he told her.

she didn’t have a choice but take him along “please don’t interfere with my work” she insisted

It’s getting late why are they not here am feeling chilly, carefully she gave her brother her shawl to cover himself, she loved him nonetheless. You see now I have to take care of you she was upset but spike to him calmly, if I were alone, I would have climbed a tree and see where they are but now, uh it’s no use thinking of it.  her thoughts were disputed.

‘Look there, there comes two vampires Regina hide,’ Joel spoke with so much fear.

Oh, they’re finally here, stay back this is the mission I told you, play low okay,’ she insisted

Standing at the middle of the road, she usually dresses up like a boy, about the same age as the prince and the queen,

‘Hey you stop, where are you heading, it’s a dangerous road down there come with me,’ take this road,’ a rough soprano voice stopped them

‘Hey it’s the kingdom my dad hates, they’ve been fighting ever since I can remember, we’d rather be killed by animals than in the hands of our enemies’ the prince was upset by her words.

‘Hey you better go there, there’s no way out plus you are fighting the wrong battles your parents are the one fighting not you right?’, she told them that the king over there is a kind one and would welcome them, she added that the kings are friends and can’t harm them, “royal bloods don’t kill each other” she emphasized.

Joel was happy and wanted to tell their nana everything, but Regina was not ready to.

Years passed and the seer finally got married and gave birth to a girl the seer.

the next village a humble and obedient boy was born, and the queen gave birth to a girl as well. The kingdoms crown princes. Joel didn’t get married he dedicated his life tohis sister and their nana.

the news got to the kingdom, it’s the first grandchild to the king’ he wanted to see his granddaughter, of course, he uplifted the rule and ordered for their return.

Regina found a loving man, seated quiet under the tree playing with their child, she had a vision, the look on her face was disturbing, her husband moved closer.

‘what’s going on with you,’ he was concerned.

my love, Regina told her husband there’s going to be chaos, a calamity is about to be fall the land once again, she fore seen the kidnap of the princes by an evil woman, a sorcerer, she was out for revenge, the king didn’t marry her.

History repeated itself, she wanted to go and warn the kings of the coming calamity, Joel was not around to escort her, he had gone hunting. Her husband was busy with the kid.

she ran to the palace to warn the king, but he was stubborn as before he sent her away.

she tried three times and the king kept on dismissing her. Victor and Diana were travelling back to the palace, a group of thugs attacked them and kidnapped the little princess,

her vision came true, the Princess was kidnapped and his parents injured.

the kidnapping awakened the feud between the kingdoms. The king believed the other kingdom took the child to avenge their pain over the years, a war was declared.

Regina, on her daily chores she went to the forest to fetch firewood and saw the woman with the little princess, she ran to the neighboring kingdom and told the king to give her guards to help her save the baby and bring peace back to lands.

Under instructions she was told if she were to fail, she will be banished.

She was late, she arrived few minutes after the lady had already left, she escaped from the guards and went to the next village. Leaving no trace on where go be found, she left her daughter with her husband and brother,

The girl was natured well to be an upright woman, she was very obedient and respected her father a lot. Her uncle was her teacher.

seventeen years later the three kids have now grown
