Helena was finally discharged from the hospital since she had recovered rapidly but she wouldn’t talk about what she found in the medical record she saw at the library the other day before. She screamed crazily and fainted. The car pulled up in front of one of the mansions at the palace and Draco rushed to help puzzled Helena down the car. “What are we doing here? This is not my quarters” she questioned, looking around. “I ordered all your things to be moved here. You will be staying in this comfortable place from now on”, he informed her. Her eyes rolled on their own accord. He was trying so hard to please her but she was not in the mood for it. “I prefer my quarters. It is small, cozy, nice and convenient” she stated, trying to return to the car, but Han grabbed her hand to stop her. Han shook her head. “Don’t” she motioned. “That’s true. Don’t refuse this place. It will be more effective for you considering your condition and you are entitled to it after all. You are the Luna
The musty dull smell of rusted irons plunged into the humid air that was hardly finding its way into the dark basement. Droplets of water fell onto the huge drum at the right side of the room at some minute’s interval and it could be heard from a pretty far distance thanks to the total state of silence the small square room was. The huge metal door made a scrapping noise as it opened slowly on its giant hook to give way to whoever pressed the open button from the other end. “Hey buddy, miss me?” the old voice croaked alongside each step the speaker took down the noisy stairs. “As expected…. Silence” he muttered to himself, approaching the man on the chair as fast as possible. A quick glance at the plate of rotten food that was lying on the left side made his nose scrunch as he tried to cope with the horrible stench stemming from the side of the room, gradually filling the atmosphere thanks to the air that rushed in through the door that was opened for a slight minute. “Oh my… this
DRACO’S POV I planned to be shamelessly involved with Helena even though I knew she would continually push me away. Once she makes a decision, she will stand by it no matter what and her decision for revenge involves her not falling for me. I knew that clearly. It was obvious! The conversation was going smoother than I had expected before the elders came to ruin the flow. I wondered why they were here so early in the morning, but I was not surprised. I expected them to come around any time soon since their spies would have informed them of the latest developments between I and Helena. “They must be here to challenge me after all” I mumbled to myself, ascending the stairs of the palace hall. Immediately I had my seat, their voices of protest raised up to me. “My Alpha, why have you refused to consummate your marriage?” one of them questioned me and I was taken aback. Was that the reason for their visit? To ask me such a thing? These old hags must really be jobless for them to kee
As soon as Amy left Draco’s chamber, she went around giggling about how her consummation party would be held before that of the Luna of the pack.“I have to get everything ready as soon as possible. Prepare everything early so there is no confusion or rushing anywhere”, she instructed her head maid. The poor head maid brought forward several dress styles for her to pick one but all were not up to her taste. She wanted something that would set her apart totally from every other person there. Her hand slammed on the table in anger after being brought the twentieth style for the day. “This is the royal palace, how come no one has the same elegant and classy taste as me? Everything is so bland! I want something spicy and extraordinary” she lashed out, and the poor stylist shrunk. They had been trying their best to come up with several styles ever since the head maid informed them but no one the styles they recommended was picked by Amy, she was just too picky to satisfy.“I am tired right
Through the command of Han, the maids spread the word of Helena spending the night with Alpha to the ears of Amy who couldn’t believe her ears. “She’s doing what?” she asked, pausing her drink “She will be spending the night at the Alpha’s chamber” her spy confirmed once again and she slapped her drink off the table in anger. With a tight clenching of her fist and teeth, “That sly bitch” she cursed under her breathe. “Is the Alpha back?” she asked and the maid confirmed that he already went to his room. She released a piercing scream and sprang up. Immediately she heard that, she rushed to his chamber and requested to see him. “He’s in there with the Luna, we have to announce your presence” the maid answered and a sound slap resonance across the poor maid’s face. “Can’t you see that I am insisting right now? Do I look like I am begging for his presence?” she shouted at her before barging inside. “What do you think you are doing?” she yelled at Helena who was not fazed, she alr
Immediately she appeared in the hall, Amy’s heart skipped a bit. She knew what she was capable of doing. After all, Helena is not someone to be dared. “What do you mean by that Luna?” Elder Conri countered her, raising his voice. “What else would I mean? I want my own date, so do your meeting and give me mine” she shrugged, answering calmly. The elders started to murmur with themselves about her rude behavior and the best answer to give to her sudden question. Elder Boris calmly stood up and faced Helena, who was waiting patiently for their answers. “Luna, I understand your grief and concern, but how about we settling this after the ceremony? You are the mother of the pack, you should be able to bear this much” he stated in a meek, persuading tone, and she almost fell for him, but Prince Klaux strode in to add fuel to the fire. He had been away from the marine army on Draco’s orders and finally came back to check up on Helena when he got a little holiday. He was outside the door
“My Alpha, if I may ask, who is Vincent? Is there anything you have for us in order to trail, identify or track him down?” the head of guards asked swiftly as they assembled in front of the house where Draco was standing. His head went blank at those questions. He should have thought about it before giving out the order but the sudden situation prompted him. His fingers rubbed along his forehead as he tried thinking of an answer, but someone rescued him from behind. “He will get back to you soon, you can all return to your posts” Beta Gray stated and they all bowed before turning back. A tired sigh emerged from the disengaged Alpha as he kept rubbing his forehead. “She’s awake, you can come in” Gray announced, and he didn’t waste any seconds before rushing in. He stood by her side as he gently gazed at her tired figure. Feelings he couldn’t even comprehend flowed through his body as he slowly bent down to check up on her. “Helena, how are you feeling now?” “A little better, I gu
After carefully arranging the books back on the shelf, they went to sleep and left for the palace early the next day. By the time they got to the palace, Helena was already up and about but she didn’t step out of her room. Draco marched out to welcome them on arrival and summoned them to his chambers for their feedback. “So what is the good news that you brought?” eagerness evident in his tone Prince Klaux pouted, “Who told you we brought any good news in the first place? Draco’s hope shrank immediately, he was so confident that they would bring something tangible and useful, but his reply didn’t seem like that. “What do you mean?” his cold voice cut through the silent room. Han bowed this time around and stepped forward to hand over the letter they retrieved from the mail box. “This was all we could find but we believe it is a clue to wherever he might be. I hope you will be able to find something out about it when you read it” she softly stated. He read through the letter as
