I planned to be shamelessly involved with Helena even though I knew she would continually push me away. Once she makes a decision, she will stand by it no matter what and her decision for revenge involves her not falling for me. I knew that clearly.

It was obvious!

The conversation was going smoother than I had expected before the elders came to ruin the flow. I wondered why they were here so early in the morning, but I was not surprised. I expected them to come around any time soon since their spies would have informed them of the latest developments between I and Helena.

“They must be here to challenge me after all” I mumbled to myself, ascending the stairs of the palace hall.

Immediately I had my seat, their voices of protest raised up to me.

“My Alpha, why have you refused to consummate your marriage?” one of them questioned me and I was taken aback.
