Elana Pov
‘Arhhhhh’ I screamed once I got to my room, the events at Amara's cell replaying in my head. ‘How is that even possible?’ I asked the room. ‘I’m the most feared and powerful witch, so why did my powers not work on that slimy little rogue who can’t even shift to her wolf?’ I pondered, my confusion fuelling my rage as I scattered my room, throwing things away and breaking them. My powers can’t be fading or can they? ‘Noooooooo’ I screamed, it worked on Kaden, I reminded myself, smiling as I looked into my mirror but it didn’t work on my arch nemesis, crosses my hand the mirror shattered, and shards of broken glass littered around my feet. My smile fell as the reality of what was happening hit me. I’ll have to find out how it happened, and soon. I picked up a shard of glass with my bare hands and flung it at the window pane. I should visit the witch k
Amara's POVI paced around the room, trying to come up with a plan to get out of this place. I had been locked in this room for what felt like forever, and every attempt to escape had been thwarted. I was getting restless and needed to move around, but the small space wouldn't allow for it.I heard footsteps outside and immediately went to the door, pressing my ear against it to listen. I heard voices, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. I tried to shift into my wolf form, but it wouldn't work. I was stuck in my human form, unable to access my powers. The door opened, and two guards walked in. They grabbed me roughly and dragged me out of the room. I stumbled, almost falling, but they didn't stop to help me. They led me down a long corridor, and I tried to memorize the route we were taking, but everything looked the same.We finally arrived at a large door, and
It's been weeks since Cassandra went into the woods, to capture Princess and Samuel back from the wolves but she hasn't returned nor has Peter or Mulan heard from her. Peter has been refreshing her coordinates on his screen but he still can't find out her location. All efforts in contacting her have been in vain. The news of Lebron’s death and the warehouse breaking has slowly faded away but the investigation is still ongoing. “What if she didn't succeed this time, Peter?.” asked Mulan as he kept refreshing his system. “No, it's not possible, she knows when to retreat” Peter replied anxiously. “Have you thought of what you will do, if this organization crashes?” Mulan asked, her question succeeded in taking Peter away from his laptop as he turned in her direction. Looking at her directly he said “This organization can not and will not crash” Mulan chuckled and it annoyed Peter. “Hold that little laugh of yours
Dylan’s Pov I lay in my bed thinking about everything that has been going on lately, especially the kidnapping of Amara. If it was a kidnap case, her captors would have called by now requesting whatever ransom they want but no one has called. All search parties have returned with the same news. ‘No one has seen her or knows her but will let us know if they do.’ I even put out a reward for anyone who has information on her whereabouts but still, no one has called with useful information. I am starting to feel like this might not be an abduction at all. Maybe we got it wrong. What if someone who wanted her or wanted me took her? This brings me down to two suspects, Elana and Kaden. Whoever it's has a witch working for them because wolves don't have powers nor do we practice black magic. There could be another explanation but I'm trying to avoid speculating. The most annoying thing about missing her, however, is that I can't even tell if she is dead or alive. It has been weeks since s
Dylan’s Pov Everything about the letter didn't seem right and Amara hardly called me Dylan, since we made up. Somebody was playing games but I had no idea who so I decided to play dumb. I handed the letter back to the maid and turned to Princess who was staring at me expectantly. I swallowed the lump in my throat and cleared it, looking up at her. “It's from Amara” I stated, hoping she would understand my emotions. “Where is she? Is she safe? Can we go get her now?” she asked excitedly. If only she knew the content of the letter she won't be excited “She wants me to move on” I said plainly, still trying to wrap my head around everything. She froze and then rushed to grab the letter from the maid. “What do you mean she asked you to move on?” She asked as she opened the letter. Her face fell upon reading the contents of the letter, as did mine. “But…she said she loved you...Amara, I know can't write this ” “How can she do that?! Something isn't right” Princess went on “What
Elana has been in a good mood since the letter arrived. No one knew she wrote the letter and even if they doubt it at first they will eventually believe its content. She wondered why she tried to bribe Amara before when she could fake a letter all along. Smiling and treating the maids and guards nicely which is weird because she is always mean to them and never misses to downgrade them as they are omegas and some are weak because they haven't been able to shift into their wolf form. Right now she is in the kitchen with the maids as they prepare breakfast for the pack house something she never did. The maids were quite uncomfortable with Elana around as they were used to her snapping at them. The fact that they could only be punished when Elana was in a bad mood didn't help either. “I have no idea what you are saying but I don’t care so shut up. ” Elana says sharply. She can hear the girls sigh behind her. They know better than to say anything back because then it'll only be
Aidan caught up with Barton and Jeffery at the barrier site. Cecelia wasn't around, he guessed she was as busy as he was earlier but canceled the thought because she was yet to find her mate and she acts more masculine than feminine probably because she is always around the guys. A lot of improvements have been done and if the workers should keep up with their pace they would be done in no time. “Hey guys” Aidan greeted when he was close enough “You are late,” Barton said not turning to him “From the glow on your face, you must have had a very good time” Jeffrey chipped in as Aidan stood beside Aidan hit his head playfully and said “Hey it's not my fault you guys haven't found your mate, but I know they are out there waiting for you guys too” He looked at Jeffery. “It's hard without a partner” Jeffery said quietly not meaning anything bad by it “It's not just about finding her.she has to accept the mate bond too or all this year s of waiting will just be in vain” Barton muttered
Kaden had just woken up from sleep because of the nightmare he had. A really bad one that made his heart race so fast and his chest constrict in fear. His breathing was loud and uneven, his body trembling with anxiety. He couldn’t even tell what exactly it was that was making him so uneasy. His mind just kept going back to what his nightmare had been about – the war,the blood and death. His death. His skin prickled with goosebumps at the memory and he sat up in his bed shivering, his breath coming out in short gasps as sweat dripped down his forehead, his eyes wide open and unblinking. He tried blinking them closed as well, but it seemed like they were stuck together now, refusing to part. The voice in his dream kept echoing in his head “You can't change fate!!!” and it sent chills down his spine. But why? Why could he not change things? He thought about it for a second more while his thoughts slowed and his racing heart calmed down. ‘But why would the moon goddess giv
Amara opened her eyes slowly, blinking several times to adjust to the darkness surrounding her. She tried moving but immediately noticed that both her wrists were handcuffed to the bedposts above her head. She was lying flat on her back, facing the ceiling. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she realised she was in her room, the room and grew up in before Kaden betrayed her. She looked at the IV drip and monitor hooked to the stand on her right side. “You are awake” she heard a female voice and turned in that direction, she saw a blonde lady but from the white coat she was putting on she guessed, she was a Doctor. The doctor was standing next to the end of her bed and as Amara lifted herself from the bed with effort, her head felt slightly fuzzy. She winced and clutched her forehead as she felt dizzy for a few seconds. “How are you feeling?” The doctor asked softly and Amara frowned confused. “Where am I? Where is Kaden..?” She asked quickly but when she turned her gaze tow
