My Fate
Aria’s pov Walking back home with mixed emotions, anger, hate and sadness. All filled up inside me, I needed a way to get out these emotions. “Let’s go for a run” my wolf vixen says, I nodded in agreement. I stepped back and let my wolf take over. Vixen is not a very big wolf, she was all white which was not a usual color. My mum and dad made sure to make me hide it, because we don’t want people to think otherwise. Vixen ran through the forest, deep down to the border, passed it and went to a lake. We laid by the lake, as the calm waters whispered to us. I transformed back, while Vixen retreated to the back of my mind, sad and feeling rejected. “Why did the moon goddess let this happen?” I asked, looking up to the sky. People always talk about how amazing and how good it felt to get a mate. How the bond was the best thing to happen to werefolks but here I am being cast aside like trash with no meaning. I stayed in the lake till the middle of the night, nobody came looking for me anyways. My family always treated me differently and I barely had a friend. I was alone in this emotional journey, I needed strength and I had no one to draw it from but myself. I told myself a long time ago, I would never ever cry against the unfair treatment I get since I got my wolf. I would fight back, grow stronger and be the one to make kael regret his choices. I am going to be everything he wants and I would in turn reject him and take what he loves the most ‘the throne’. After my self pity party at the lake, I returned home, walking back and taking my time. When I got home it was already past 3 and everybody had gone to bed. I slipped into my bed, exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster. The next morning I woke up in the morning, bathed and brushed my teeth. I went downstairs, and my family had already gathered at the table for breakfast. My dad, mum and the golden sister were all seated. None even tried to ask how I was or even to check up on me. I dragged a chair and sat down to eat. “Good morning mum, dad” I greeted politely “Where were you yesterday, you left the mating rites and when we got back you weren’t home. So where did you run off too?” My dad asked, void of any emotions “Dad, take it easy on her. She had just been rejected by her mate. Do you know how embarrassing it must have been” my sister Diamond says, she looked at me, acting all concerned “are you okay Aria?” “I’m fine” I replied eating my breakfast and trying to ignore all of them “Yesterday was the most embarrassing day for our family, you were not only rejected by anyone but the Alpha himself.” My mum said, dropping her cutlery angrily “why does the moon goddess in her infinite wisdom, think that you would make a good Luna? Not even your sister, you?” This is beyond embarrassing” “Honey calm down, we will get through this.” My dad says “We better. Lay low and don’t you dare show your wolf to anyone. You are already and embarrassment you can’t be an outcast too” mum stood up and left the table The pain I felt from yesterday increased, it was one thing to be rejected by your mate, it’s another thing to be blamed for it. I stood up, I was done eating. I had lost my appetite for anything. “The Alpha had summoned the pack to pick a Luna. Since you were not worthy, ensure you are there” my dad said to me before I could leave, I nodded and walked out before anyone could talk to me. ***Kael’s pov*** After being given a weak mate yesterday, after years of waiting for the moon goddess to bless me with a chosen mate. I could smell how weak she was, not that she said she was someone with a strong wolf. After the rites, I did some research on her and found how she is always isolated and had no friends. She was just existing and doing her part in contributing to the pack's development. My mum, the formal Luna of the park, walked in with my sister, Ellen. “What did I hear happen, Kael?” She asked him angrily “He rejected his mate, a very stupid move if you ask me” Ellen says and I gave her a side eye which she ignored “Why in the moon goddess name would you do that?” Mum asked “She is not fit to be a Luna mum. Why would the moon goddess make a mistake and give me a weakling as a mate?” I asked my mum and she was taken aback “One thing about the moon goddess is she never makes mistake, I will advise you to rethink your decision, or else you would regret it in the nearest future” she warned me “I won’t mum. Look at you, the perfect Luna to dad, that’s what I wanted but since I was denied that I would get my perfect mate somehow” I told her “ I have decided to choose a mate for myself” I told both of them “What?” They both screamed “It’s all set, tomorrow the beta’s daughter will be my Luna. She is very that I need; powerful, political, intelligent and most especially not weak” i said to them as they stare at me with surprise “I would beg to rethink your decision” my mum says “ you are making a big mistake brother” Ellen added “It’s already being decided. if you excuse me, I need to get some sleep” I walked out of the study, leaving them to talk amongst themselves Nothing was going to change my mind, no matter what happened. Aria could not be my Luna.Dealing with the shameAria’s povI left the dining room with a heavy heart. This is not the first time it is happening but this one hit harder. I pushed it back of my mind as I had to leave for work in the flower shop. I got ready and was about to leave, when my sister popped up in my room.“Are you still going to work?” She asked vindictively“Hmm, ya. I get paid to work” i said to her and was about to walk out“You really think you are better than everyone else, don’t you?” She glared at me“No I don’t, Diamond. I just want to get to work” I answered her, trying to pass but once again she blocked my path.“I’m glad Alpha Kael knocked you off your high horse. It was entertaining to see” she chuckled“I’m glad you were entertained. Now if you would excuse me, I would be late for work” I pushed her aside and walked out of the house speedily to avoid any interactions. My house was a little far from the town, so I had to walk for 20 minutes everyday to get to work as I couldn’t afford
Shattered Dreams and Broken SpiritAria's povI ran as fast as my legs could carry me, tears streaming down my face. I couldn't take it anymore - the constant mocking, the rejection, the feeling of being worthless. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of despair, with no lifeline in sight.I ran into the forest, straight to the only place that did not make me feel like an outcast ‘the lake’. I wept at the shores of the lake for the longest time till I was too weak to shed any more tears. I fell asleep by the shore, embracing the peace the calm water brought.Laying there for God knows how long, I woke up to rustling of leaves. I became on high alert as rogues are known to roam this part of the forest. I listened carefully and could hear the footsteps. I tried to gather how many there were but I could only pick up one heartbeat.“Who’s there?” I asked into the dark forest, “come out before I get you out myself” I threatened.Nobody came out, I immediately brought forth vixen. My eyes tu
AcceptanceAria's povThe second I ran out of the hall, the sector blurred around me. My breath came in ragged gasps, each one more labored than the last. My heart pounded violently in my chest, from both exertion and searing pain. Every step felt like a battle, every inhale a struggle. The mate bond had snapped, and it felt like my very soul had been ripped aside. The bond that once tethered me to Alpha Kael had been severed, leaving me raw and broken.I stumbled blindly through the forest , my body shaking with sobs.“How could he do this to me? How could they do this to me? My sister—my own flesh and blood—had been selected as his Luna, at the same time as I had been rejected and humiliated in front of the complete pack. The bitterness from my heart tasted bitter on my tongue, and my mind spiraled with resentment. For so long, I had tolerated being treated as lesser, even though I didn't deserve it. But now, the accumulated weight of rejection, betrayal, and endless torment crushed
Aria’s POVThe forest seemed darker now, as though it knew the weight of the decision I had just made. The trees loomed over me like silent witnesses, their twisted branches clawing at the moonlit sky. The chill in the air seeped into my bones, but I welcomed it—it was far less cruel than the icy betrayal that had brought me here.Darius walked beside me, his movements confident yet predatory. He didn’t say much as we navigated the winding path through the forest, but I could feel his presence like a storm gathering on the horizon. There was power in him, dark and untamed, and I couldn’t help but wonder if I had just made a deal with the devil.“Where are we going?” I finally asked, my voice cutting through the stillness.“To a place where you’ll learn to become who you were always meant to be,” he replied cryptically. His tone was calm, but there was an edge to it that made my wolf, Vixen, bristle.I bit back a retort and kept walking, my mind racing with questions I wasn’t ready to
Diamond’s POVThis was my dream, my accomplishment! I had managed to beat my sister to the position I had always wanted. As I walked gently through the palace which I was brought for a tour. I could not be happier than I am.“Well, well, if it is not a man hunting female.”I turned to see who it was and standing next to me was Selene and the princess of the pack, Ellen standing before me.I gave a huge smile, “Your highness….” I bowed, trying to pay my respect to her but she glared at me.“What are you doing here?” She asked me“Oh….Kael, my mate, asked me to come over and get familiar with the environment as the mating rites would be in the next full moon which is….next three days.” I responded to her and she had a scowl.“I see…..”“Princess Ellen, it would be lovely to get to know you more, since we would be living together, even if my rank would be higher than yours,” I said to her with a huge grin. She tried to hit me but she was held back by Selene.“Woah, you are very feisty.”
Kael’s povThe door to my office shut behind me with a soft click, muffling the chaos swirling in my mind. Diamond’s voice still echoed in my ears, her words demanding my attention. “Discuss the ceremony.” It was ironic how the Luna position, one of the most revered roles in the pack, had turned into a political game. And here I was, a pawn moving pieces on the board, unsure if I was winning or losing.I sank into my chair, leaning back as I stared at the ceiling. I had fought for this role as Alpha, had sacrificed so much to lead this pack and now, when it came to choosing a Luna, I had made a decision based not on emotion, but on logic. Diamond was intelligent, strong-willed, and ambitious—qualities that would serve the pack well. Yet, as I sat there, I couldn’t help but question whether I had made the right choice.Don’s earlier report about Aria lingered in my thoughts. Aria, with her gentle nature, had always been in the shadows, overshadowed by her sister’s ambition. She didn’t
Aria’s POVI sat alone in my room which was given to me by Darius. I have been here for three days now and I still feel like my world has been tumbled.Darius had been keeping me updated about the happenings in our pack and today was the day of the mating rite. How and why Kael was getting married to my sister, I had no idea. If it was someone else the love of pain would have been minimal but this was my sister, my blood. The betrayal! After I left, I was not accounted for or reported as a missing person but my parents kept telling everyone that I had been sent to my aunt’s house. The lies!I stood up and walked to the balcony, where I could see almost all of Darius’s rouge pack. It was not much but the Black Death was someone who people feared and I wanted that.I wanted people to fear me and I would start with Kael before I move on to my parents. I will make them all pay! They would bow down to me as I ruled over them all.“Ahem….” I heard someone clearing their voice behind me.I t
Aria’s POVThe next morning, I stood in the middle of the training ground, the early morning mist swirling around me. My muscles ached from days of relentless training, but the fire inside me burned brighter. Darius stood before me, his piercing gaze unwavering.“Today’s task,” he began, pacing slowly, “will be the toughest you’ve faced yet. It’s not about speed or strength this time. It’s about your mind and conquering what holds you back.”I furrowed my brow, trying to decipher his words. “What are you talking about?”He stopped and turned to me, his expression dark. “You’ll face your fear of rejection and failure today, Aria. The fear of not being enough.”My chest tightened. Of all the challenges, this was the one I wasn’t prepared for. “And how exactly do you plan to make me do that?” I asked, trying to mask the vulnerability in my voice.Darius’s lips curled into a sly smile. “You’ll see soon enough. Follow me.”I trailed behind him, my nerves twisting into knots. He led me thro
Aria’s POVI hade decided that before I would cut ties with this pack forever, I must see the people who made me the way I am today. My parents. The journey back to my parents’ home was longer than I remembered, each step dragging as if the universe itself was warning me to turn around but I needed to do this.I needed to face them one last time before severing every tie to this wretched pack.By the time I arrived at the grand estate which they live in after Diamond's coronation, the sun had begun to set, casting long shadows over the familiar stone walls.Nothing had changed, the same suffocating coldness that had once made this place feel more like a prison than a home.I inhaled sharply before pushing the doors open, stepping inside the lavish foyer. The air was thick with the scent of burning wood from the fireplace, but there was no warmth here.Voices drifted from the sitting room, the sound of laughter and clinking glasses making my stomach twist. They were celebrating. The th
Diamond’s POV The grand chamber’s doors slammed shut behind Aria, and I remained frozen in place, my nails digging into my palms. The council’s verdict rang in my ears like a cruel joke. She was leaving……..For good this time. No longer bound by the Silver Claw Pack. No longer tied to Kael. No longer within my reach. I should be happy but I am not. I have always hated my sister and I would do anything to make sure is not happy. I clenched my jaw as I turned to Kael, who still sat in his chair, his golden eyes fixed on the spot where Aria had stood. His expression was unreadable, but I knew him well enough to sense the tension in his shoulders, the way his fingers drummed against the armrest—a telltale sign of his frustration. “She’s actually getting away with this?” I spat, my voice sharp with disbelief. Kael exhaled slowly, standing up from his seat. “She won’t be our problem anymore.” I let out a bitter laugh. “That’s exactly the problem, Kael.” I stalked toward him, my fis
Aria’s POVThe silence in the grand chamber was suffocating. Every breath felt like a struggle as I stood in the center of the room, waiting for the council’s verdict. Darius remained by my side, his presence a silent pillar of support, but I could sense his tension mirroring my own.Across from me, Kael sat with a composed expression, his golden eyes watching me like a predator stalking its prey. I clenched my fists, refusing to let him see even a sliver of weakness. The lead elder, the woman with piercing green eyes, finally looked up from the whispered deliberations among the council members. “Lady Aria, the council has come to a decision.”I held my breath. She continued, her tone measured. “While your departure was in violation of pack law, we recognize the circumstances that led to your actions. A rejection, especially a public one, is a heavy burden to bear, and we acknowledge that Alpha Kael’s decision played a significant role in your exile.”Kael stiffened slightly at the el
Aria’s POVI clenched my fists so tightly my nails bit into my palms. The air in Kael’s office felt thick, suffocating, as if it carried the weight of our past—of every moment he had crushed me beneath his arrogance.“You’re just following the law?” I scoffed, stepping closer to his desk. “That’s rich coming from the same man who broke the most sacred bond in our world or do you not remember rejecting me in front of the entire pack?”Kael’s lips curved into a smirk, but I caught the way his fingers tightened around his pen. “And yet, here you are, standing in my office, looking like you’re ready to tear my head off.” He leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. “I think we both know I still hold power over you, Aria.”His words sent a surge of fury through me. I slammed my hands on his desk, making the papers flutter. “You don’t hold anything over me—-Not anymore.” My voice was low, dangerous.“I have a pack now—a real pack, where I’m valued. And you will not keep me here against m
Aria’s povThe day to leave this horrible pack that rejected me finally came. The lack that never made me feel like I was at home.I came back to see if my parents at least missed me and after stalking their house for a day, I was convinced that they didn't.I couldn't care less, though. I was happy at the rouge pack and now that it had become a real pack—it was much better. Those people are my family.I packed as I hummed a tone feeling happier than I should.I heard a knock on the door, making me pause, “Come in.” I replied. The door opened and Darius walked in.Damn, this man is fine! But the first thing I noticed is that he had his royal regalia on and he never does that.“Darius, Good morning. Are we all set to leave? Am I the one who is delaying? Shit, I'm sorry, I will soon be done packing.” I mumbled trying to apologize for the mistake.I turned to continue what I. was doing when the next words he said stopped me in my tracks.“We…we are not leaving today.” Darius said.I turn
Darius’s POVThe throne room was still filled with murmurs and tense whispers as the council deliberated over Kael’s accusation. I could feel the weight of every gaze in the room pressing down on me, waiting for my response. But I wasn’t rattled. If Kael thought he could use some old law to take Aria away, he was in for a rude awakening.Elder Taffy raised her hand, demanding silence once more. “Alpha Kael, since you have raised this concern, the council will require substantial evidence to support your claim. Do you have documentation or witnesses who can confirm that Aria Moon was still a member of your pack at the time she left?”Kael smirked, his confidence unwavering. “I do.” He turned his head slightly. “Bring him in.”A moment later, a man I recognized all too well strode into the room—Don, Kael’s Beta. He was a slim but tall man, I knew that whatever he was about to say would be twisted in Kael’s favor.Elder Taffy gestured for him to step forward. “State your name and rank.”
Darius PovToday was the day I faced the council and heard their conclusion on the petition I submitted last two days——to make Rouge pack a legal pack.I dressed up in my normal day to day wear which consisted of black pants, white long sleeve shirt with the sleeves folded up and two buttons undone. My hair was a little messy but that’s how I liked it.Ever since the party when Kael and Diamond figured out that Paige is Aria, I had kept a close eye on her.Today she was out of the castle with Ellen, Kael’s sister and her friend Selene. She had removed her blonde wig and contact lens.I did not want to intrude in her day so I had a guard secretly watch over her. There was a knock heard in the door to my room.“Come in, Ryker.”He pushed the door, “Great, you are ready. Let’s go!”I looked at Ryker with my eyebrows up, “Is the council ready?” I asked and he nodded.“Good let’s go make our pack official.” I picked up my crown and placed it on my head before walking out of the room. The w
Aria’s POVAs the car hummed softly beneath us, I traced my fingers over the delicate locket Ellen had given me. It was beautiful—ornate, yet simple. A reminder of a past I had tried so hard to bury.“Are you sure you want me to have this?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Ellen smiled, her gaze warm. “Of course. You might have left, but that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped caring about you.”I swallowed hard, emotions threatening to bubble over. It was strange. I had spent years believing that no one in this pack had ever truly cared about me. That I was nothing more than an outcast, a burden. And yet, here Ellen and Selene were, showing me kindness I had never expected.Selene reached over from the front seat, placing a comforting hand on mine. “You deserved better back then, Aria. We can’t change the past, but… maybe we can change the future.”I let out a breath, nodding slightly. “Maybe.”The mood in the car shifted as Ellen clapped her hands together, breaking the moment of t
Aria’s povI sat on my dressing table as I removed all the disguise I wore—it was of no use to me.My secret is out in the open.We still had one more day to be here and that was when Darius would plead his case to turn the rouge pack to a legal pack.Diamond and I had gotten into an altercation and I knew she wouldn't let it down so easily but I was ready for them.I was not as weak as they knew the first time I left the pack.I wore a black pants, paired with a blue crop top and a black jacket. My hair flowed down my back with blue sneakers on my feet.I looked at myself in the mirror, satisfied about what was looking back at me.“Time to go explore the pack that I had left.”I picked up my little purse and headed out.As I walked down the staircase, I heard someone calling my name.“Aria! Aria!”I turned to see princess Ellen and Selene walking towards me.They had on a semi formal dress. A sundress, black heels, their hair up in a sleek back ponytail and tiaras on their head indic
