Forgiving Stephen

Susan's POV.

The doctor comes in and finds my family seated on my bed. We were now talking and laughing. It was the best moment of my life. Well, I had decided to forgive Stephen. All I wanted now was peace and stable household. I wanted to be with my family. I wanted the happy home I once had. Life had given me a second chance, and I was not going to waste it.

But I had not told Stephen yet that I have already forgiven him. I decided that it was going to be a surprise back home after I was finally discharged.

“Susan, you are good to go. There is no internal bleeding.” The doctor says, and I am grateful to hear that.

“Thank you doctor. So it means we can take mom home how.” Ella asks.

“Yes. Here is the discharge form. Just go to the counter and pay the bill.” The doctor says and then leaves.

Stephen offers to help me sit on the wheelchair, and I gladly accept his offer. He carries me and carefully places me on the wheelchair. To say the truth, it has been long since Stephen carried me
