An hour of walking and Jessica was feeling the burn in her calves. She felt exhausted and struggled to find a way to inform the King. He was just talking and walking, enjoying himself as he showed her around. She remembered what Lucy had said, that he hadn’t been the same since his wife died. She observed him as he opened his mouth and shared stories about the bakery, expressing how much he enjoyed visiting it on Sundays during his childhood. But the manner how he spoke told her he was way older than he looked. He explained that they would bake bread and place it in the chimney for protection during the winter months. The king finally took a hold of her palm. He only became aware of his actions when he noticed her hand stiffen. He froze. “Forgive me, I got carried away.” “Don’t be,” Jessica smiled. “I’m enjoying the history of your community.” The King noticed the flush on her face. “You look exhausted. Do you want to sit? Are you thirsty?” Jessica sighed. “I could use a s
Jessica was back inside her bedroom. Although she had an amazing day with King Kanyon, her joy didn't last long, because now that she was alone, all she could think about was her innocent child. Steven didn't deserve to die like that. He was entitled to a life filled with love, happiness with his true mate, raising their pups, growing old together, and eventually dying when he was old and gray. Jessica cried as she recalled that she never had the chance to hold her child. She never experienced the scent of his skin, looked into his eyes, or discovered who he looked like the most. Magda along with the entire Graceland Pack deprived her of that. In a hurry, Jessica pulled off her gown, almost damaging the zip. Visiting her baby's grave again reminded her of the pain and anger she felt. "That's it! I have to get my revenge," she muttered as she got dressed in a sweatpants and a t-shirt. She decided she was going to see the King. She needed to request a favour from him. *******
"She's healing," Doctor Peterson nodded as he examined Jessica. He found himself somewhat intrigued by how Jessica treated the king, as though she was his equal. Doctor Peterson didn't appreciate that. She was filth. Even though he didn't normally discriminate, he wanted the King to let this wolf know her place. "So can I start training now?" Jessica urged, hoping she would get the answer she so desired. "I can't wait for our one-on-one sessions, King Kanyon. I want to see what you got," she joked around, and Kanyon smirked. He was loving her enthusiasm. "So doctor, what's the verdict?" Jessica demanded again. Instead of responding, the doctor focused on writing his notes. "Well, can she?" Kanyon grunted, finding the doctor's actions rude. Dr. Peterson curtailed his head, his voice came out shaky. "She can do some light exercising, like speed walking and stretches, but nothing too rigorous." Jessica frowned in displeasure. She was excited to start training so she could en
"We're almost there," Cameron whispered to the King as he walked from the cockpit. The pilot told him they were just a few miles from the Warmblood pack. Kanyon decided to fly to their territory and then borrow a vehicle from Alpha Daniel so he could take Jessica to the spot where he found her. "You think I should wake her up?" Kanyon pulled the blanket up to Jessica's chin. She was lightly snoring with her head resting on his lap. "Give her a few more minutes," Cam replied as he sat down in the seat before the king. "She's going through a lot, isn’t she?" "Too much for one person to bear," the king sighed. Out of nowhere, Cam and the king sensed a shift in the atmosphere when Jessica's body started to tremble. "Please, Luna! Please, I didn't mean to sleep in!" Jessica screamed, putting her hands up in a defensive position. She flinched. "It hurts. Please stop, Luna. I'm so-sorry," she shrieked in fear. "Wake her up!" Cam roared. "Hey, Jessica. Wake up." Kanyon s
As the sun rose, it chased away the fog up the mountains, casting its warmth and golden glow over the meadows surrounding the Warmblood Pack. After dinner last night, Jessica decided to go to bed early, while the king, Cameron, and the alpha remained in the study discussing strategies for border protection. Kanyon shared his knowledge on handling rogue lycans. Cameron even offered to hunt for the she-lycan since he was a lycan himself, which meant she wouldn't detect his presence if he masked his scent. Jessica awoke to the delightful aroma of pancakes and eggs. Her muscles felt tight, but once she stepped into the shower, the warm water worked magic to relax the tension in her joints. After washing her hair, she dried it thoroughly before wearing baggy jeans and a green sweater. With the cold outside, it wouldn't be long before the snow started falling. She put on her coat and wrapped her scarf around her neck, then went to the door. When she opened it she saw Kanyon coming to
"WEREWOLVES! Out here!" Jessica panicked. "Shh, keep your voice down," Kanyon shushed her. "I think these could be the same ones who left you out here to die." "What do they want? But why are they back?" Jessica was worried. "I don't know, but I'm going to find out." He grabbed her by her shoulders and pushed her in front of some bushes. "I will need you to hide over there," he pointed to the ferns. "But —," Jessica bit down on her bottom lip. She glanced between the bushes and Kanyon. "I know you're scared, but I promise in the Moon Goddess's name I won't let no harm come to you," he assured her. "Before you hide, I'm going to need your permission to do something." "What's that?" "I'm going to have to cover your scent with mine." Jessica arched her brows. "How will you do that unless you mark me or —" she paused, a blush creeping on her face. With a smirk, the king declared, "I must lick you all over." Jessica turned her gaze away and clutched the coat more tigh
King Kanyon was quiet as he trod up to the area where Gary and Adam were. He reached the scene just as Adam was lifting Jessica's bag. "What's that?" He heard one ask the other. "It's her bag," the other answered as he dug through it. He watched as he examined the contents. "These are the stuff she packed before we left." 'So these are the assholes who left our mate to die!' Sinbad growled. Kanyon was furious as he looked at them. They were huge and muscular. Poor excuses for men. How could they beat her up and leave her for dead, knowing she was carrying a pup? Kanyon's mouth was dripping with venom. "So you know what that means," the shorter one smiled as he watched the other placed the stuff back inside the bag. "It means she's dead. If she were alive, she would have taken this stuff wherever she went." Hearing him express such happiness about Jessica's death only fueled the king's anger. He couldn't wait to wipe that smile off his face. "You're right, cousin. The an
Hello, guys. Sorry for missing my updates yesterday and the day before, but I’ve been under the weather for almost a week now. I contracted the Influenza A virus. While the fever and headache is manageable, I can’t seem to keep anything inside my stomach. I’m throwing up and I have a severe case of diarrhea. Luckily I was only admitted to the hospital for a day while they tried to get my body back to a hydrated state. I am alone at home now since my husband is away for business. I’m waiting on my friend to stop by with some chicken soup. But If I feel better today, I will update a chapter or two. But my eyes literally hurt staring at my computer screen for too long so I might wait until the morning. But you don’t have to worry, I am going to finish the story with a bang. And please don’t hate me for what will be coming in the next few chapters. I have some sad news to reveal in the coming chapters. So hang tight. Thank you guys for your support. I hope you are staying safe out there
"Are you nervous, my love?" Kanyon asked as he watched Jessica fix her earring in her ear. "Are you kidding? I'm thrilled! I've never been this happy in my life," she beamed. “Hearing you say that puts a smile on my face. Are you sure there isn't anything else I can do to make this day even more special?""No there isn't. Everything is perfect." "Alright," Kanyon sighed. "I'm going to have to return what I got you then.”"You got me something?" "Of course, but I'm afraid the surprises were too big to wrap.""Surprises?" Jessica wondered where he had time to go shopping since the last three days had been super hectic for everyone. The triplets and Anna’s baby were a handful. "Mamaaaaaaa!" Ariel's voice rang out as she burst through the door. She dashed over to Jessica and wrapped her in a huge bear hug. "Look at you. Childbirth has been good to you. Look at those boobies.""Wh - what are you doing here? I just spoke to you, and you said you were at the Warmblood pack,” Jessica let
The next day, people travelled in scores from near and far to gather in the castle's courtyard to get a glimpse of their future king. News of the birth of the heir spread like Hollywood gossip throughout the kingdom.Jessica was feeling much better. She was on the phone with Ariel, who had also given birth to a son a week earlier. "It's chaos over here, cous," Jessica sighed. "There are hundreds of people out in the courtyard waiting to see KJ.""I can only imagine. So where's Kanyon?" Ariel asked. "He's having a meeting with the council members right now to tell them I am the one who produced the heir and not that bitch, Annabella," Jessica hissed. "What did that bitch say when she found out her son is not the heir?""She doesn't know as yet. She's been sleeping since she gave birth yesterday," Jessica said. "I'm just glad my son is the heir and not hers, but I still won't interfere with how Kanyon chooses to take care of him. That baby is as much his as my children are.""True,"
After the storm, the morning unfolded with a sense of calm and peace. King Kanyon held his wife firmly in his arms as he carried her back to the castle while Lucy cradled the young prince in her arms and Master Cameron wrapped his arms around the cooing princesses. "I'm so tired!" Jessica muttered against Kanyon's neck. "I know, my love. We are almost home. I'll take you to the hospital so you and our children can get checked out, and then I'll take you back to the room," Kanyon responded. "But - but the nursery only has two cribs and two of everything else," Jessica complained. "I need to get some stuff for our son.""Shh. No need to stress, I'll arrange for one of everything to be at the nursery before the day ends. Just concentrate on getting your rest." Kanyon kissed her head. The guards at the East gates were on standby for them. The king used his mindlink to clue them in on which gates he'd be arriving at. As soon as they arrived, the guards bowed before letting them in. Th
Kanyan took his shirt off to wrap his daughter in and then carefully laid the baby down. Jessica was still in agony as Lucy screamed at her, telling her to push. "I can't do this," Jessica sobbed. "I'm too tired." Her head felt light, and her muscles seemed like they were on fire. "Sure you can." Kanyon held her hand. "You're one of the strongest women I've ever met. Now push so we can meet our other baby.""OK. OK," she sniffled. Lucy was in position. "Come on, Jessica. You can do this."Jessica set aside the pain and concentrated on the adorable sounds coming from her daughter, and soon she found the energy she needed to keep going. She screamed loudly, teeth clenched tight while her body did its thing. "That's it. You're doing great, mama," Lucy commented. "I see a head. Keep pushing!""Only a few more minutes, Jess, and then this will all be over," Kanyon chimed in. Lucy's eyes widened as the second baby slid into her hands. This one cries were also powerful. Kanyon took th
It was already 7 pm and Kanyon was exhausted. After receiving pain medication from the doctor, Anna finally drifted off to sleep. Dr. Clarke informed the king that Anna might deliver as soon as 8 am the following morning. Kanyon sensed something strange, almost like Jessica was out of reach. So he tried to reach out to her via mindlink, but the connection was blank. 'That's strange,' Sinbad stated. 'No. It's not strange if she is too far away to connect to our link.'Kanyon bumped into Cameron on his way back to his room. "Hey man. Has she had the baby yet?" Cam asked. "No. Maybe early tomorrow morning or late tomorrow evening. Have you seen Jessica?" Kanyon asked. "No. Not since she got back from the market this morning," he answered. "Why?""She's not responding to my mindlink." "Damn!" Cam muttered. Both men quickly made their way to the king's quarters. "Jessica?" Kanyon called out as he checked the bedroom and master bathroom. "Twinkle? Are you in here, girl?" Cam check
Annabella squirmed in agony while the medical team rolled her on the stretcher to the royal delivery room. "You fucking cunts!" Anna screamed. "I need something for the pain!" she gritted her teeth as she grabbed the arm of the paramedic. She squeezed it so hard her nails dug into his flesh. "We can't give you anything yet, Anna. Not until your blood test comes back, and we know what has sent you into early labour," Nurse Cakes explained. "Fuck you, bitch!" Anna gathered some saliva in her mouth and hurled it at Nurse Cake's face. Another contraction hit her. "Ahhhhhh! WOOOOOH!" she howled in pain. "Quick. Get her on the bed," Dr. Clarke ordered as they made it to the royal birthing room. "Now Anna, you're gonna stay still while Nurse Cake's take a sample of your blood, then I want you to open your legs for me so I can take a peek at what's happening.""You don't need a PhD to know what's happening doctor," she shouted. "Can't you see I'm in labour?" "Take a deep breath," Nurse C
"Slow down, ma'am. The doctor said you should take time to chew your food." Nurse Cakes snapped as she fed Anna her breakfast. "You know I'm a doctor too. I know stuff," Anna burped and then licked the gravy off her fingers. "I can't walk or leave this room. Hell, I can't even wash my own ass and pussy, so if eating like a pig helps with this fucking depression, then you better feed me, bitch!" Anna yelled. "Now I need more potatoes and gravy. And please be more generous with the fried chicken."The nurse exhaled heavily. "Yes ma'am. I'll send word to the kitchen now." Nurse Cakes got up and made her way over to the other nurse, who was standing by the window. "What's Cruella's problem now?" Nurse Lennox asked. "She wants more food," Nurse cakes rolled her eyes. "But hasn't she had enough already?""I told her, but she doesn't seem to care." "She's so irritating. I'm so glad she's not our queen," Nurse Brown confessed. "That would have been a fucking nightmare.""You're totally r
Cameron, Reniece, Lucy, Theodore, and Falcon were at the hospital waiting room, nervously walking around while they anticipated to hear if Jessica was fine. "It's been an hour. Why's Kanyon taking forever to let us know if Twinkle's okay?” Cameron nervously chewed on his nails, looking really worried. Reniece hugged him from behind. "Jessica is a strong woman. She'll be alright," Ren kissed the back of his shoulder. "Maybe she's in labour," Theodore added. "But isn't it like too soon for that?" Falcon asked. "Please, let's just keep the king and queen in our prayers and hope for the best," Lucy hissed. "All this talking is making me more nervous than I already am."The mage received a warm hug from Cameron and Reniece. "I know. You're right. We are all worried about Jessica. Let's just wait for the king to hear what he has to say," Cameron recited. ******The doctors and nurses were sweating like they were on death row. Every one of them could sense the king’s wrath and they fe
