"How do I look?" Jessica asked as she tried to smooth out the wrinkles in her dress. “Come on, you can tell me Kanyon if I am too big. I am fat, aren't I?" "Jessica. You're absolutely gorgeous. Just relax,” Kanyon mentioned before planting a kiss on her lips. "I can't. My blood is literally singing in my veins. I can sense Ariel coming this way." She cracked her knuckles to try and relieve her tension. “Ah, I understand now. You're still nervous about telling her you're pregnant. But I thought you got all the anxiety out of your system this morning?” "What if she despises me for it? What if she decides to cut me off and never speaks to me again?” Jessica was really worried that her pregnancy would ruin her friendship with her cousin. "That will never happen,” Kanyon declared and his heart went out to his wife when he saw that she was getting teary-eyed. “Hey, come over here!” he pulled her in and gave her a bear hug. He ran his hands over her back and then butt. "Woman, you reall
The Graceland family stepped out of their respective carriages, along with the beta family. The Luna decided not to take the rest of the pack to the ball as a punishment for their despicable behaviour in the town of Luxair Valley. The four coachmen pulled away; the wooden wheels created a rhythm on the cobblestone path. They stood before the elegant house, a castle really and tried to take in its details: tall, stone columns, trimmed topiaries, everything lit by hundreds of candle flames. The place was so captivating their excitement grew even more, especially the twins."This will be all mine soon," Margret beamed. "Dream on, Sister. You mean I will be the next Queen of Lycania," Margarita scoffed. "But if you are lucky, I could make you my handmaiden." “You dream on, my scullery maid,” Margret hissed. “Shut up you two,” Magda reprimanded. “At least try and act like you belong here.”They ascended the steps leading up to the French glass-paned doors, which servants opened for the
Beta Vernon scanned the room for his next possible kill. He spotted Alpha Conroy dancing with the pretty redhead. He had his hand dangerously close to the woman's derrière and his lips were practically sucking on her earlobe. "Dad, wait. Let's think about this first," Victor tried to stop his father from making a scene, but it was too late. The atmosphere got bitter as the people close by stopped what they were doing to watch the show unfold. Vernon seized the alpha by the arm and dragged him away harshly from his dance partner. "What the hell is wrong with you, Vernon? Can't you see I'm busy?" Conroy grunted, checking his cuff to see if it had ripped. "Is she your next victim?" Vernon suggested. Sasha and Sara baring their canines, snarling at the man who stole their virginities. Sally had her claws out, wishing she could tear Conroy's throat out. "Is there a problem?" Tatiana inquired, her views settled on the three angry she-wolves before rolling across Victor's face. His eyes
The hour was close to 10 pm. As the council members made their way in, the bells just wouldn't stop chiming. Sara felt a surge of anger and frustration as she rushed out onto the balcony. The night was hot and so was the blood boiling in her veins. The vampire, propped against the wall and feeding on a willing victim, stopped his sucking when he spotted the she-wolf. He observed her with bright red eyes while she tousled her dark curly hair, removing the clips and tossing them onto the ground. He retracted his fangs from the kitchen maid. He murmured in her ear, “It's time to go now.” He discarded the she-lycan like she was nothing. She staggered as she made her way inside, the ringing of the bells drowned out her sluggish footsteps as she sauntered off. The vampire managed to stay hidden beneath the shadows, and he listened to the captivating she-wolf as she cursed herself for being stupid. His supernatural ears stood like antennas as he eavesdropped on the conversation she was h
Jessica confidently took a seat in the section of the private balcony that overlooked the throne room. No one could see her since she was looking down through a two-way mirror. She nibbled on some cheese and crackers as she tried to calm her heart. The moment she laid eyes on Magda and her two dreadful daughters making their way to their seats, all her nerves vanished.'How does it feel to see them again?' Sybil inquired. 'I don't know yet,' she answered. She searched the room for the guy who rejected her, but he wasn't in sight. Her eyes quickly found the person he left her for. Crisella wasn't looking her best. Even staring at her from this angle, Jessica picked up on her fatigue and stress. Jessica wiped her hands with the napkin as she caught sight of everyone standing up and dropping to their knees as King Kanyon and Reniece made their entrance down the aisle. She thought Reniece looked great in that silver dress she wore. Kanyon stood tall and impressive, just like always. He
King Kanyon waited patiently for the crowd to quiet down before he spoke once more. He chose to give Sasha a year of hard labor after she had her baby, but she would work on King Osbourne's farms since they were nearest to the Graceland pack. Sara also ended up with a year of hard labor at the Warmblood pack. The king figured that since Sheree was still a minor, her parents should handle her punishment however they want. Vernon was curious about where his oldest child was, while Kanyon was trying to understand why he hadn't spotted King Tomas at all since the meeting began. “With everything in order, I suppose it's finally time to drop the big news you all have been anxious to hear about,” King Kanyon announced. “Annabella will you stand up please," the king said to Anna, who was beaming from ear to ear as she stood up. “Annabella!” Magda breathed in surprise. “Mother,” Margret murmured, “who the hells is this Annabella?”“I have no idea.”Margarita spoke in hushed tones, “Look at
Jessica huddled on the floor, which had been her bed since she was thirteen, trembling from the cold. The heavy winds outside kept blowing the cardboard cut out from the oval window, letting all the frostiness inside and the only things poor Jessica had to cover with were some empty potato sacks which weren't doing a great job of keeping the winter breeze off. Sleeping on the hard, cold concrete floor only worsened her health, especially with all the dust and chemicals around. She had developed a severe case of pneumonia. If she were a regular girl, she would have died months ago. The strong scent of charcoal and kerosene filled the air, irritating her lungs and making her cough repeatedly as she twisted beneath her makeshift sheets. Having just recovered from yet another coughing episode, her body calmed down but was soon jolted awake when someone kicked her in the stomach. Her amber eyes snapped open to reve
ONE YEAR LATER "Come on, Pookie-Bear, you know I love you," Cory used his fingers to unbutton Jessica's blouse. His wolf, Curtis, was on edge. He had wanted to do this since the moment he found out Jessica was his mate. "But Cory, I'm not ready," Jessica said as she held onto his wrists to prevent him from unbuttoning her shirt any further. Cory grunted in frustration. His eyes glowed black, showing Jessica that his wolf wasn't pleased. "I am your future alpha, and how dare you refuse me!" He spat through gritted teeth, squeezing her neck while pressing her firmly against the wall of the supply closet. She flinched, the wounds on her back were still raw from the beatings the Luna gave her a few days before. She had forgot to pick up the Luna's dry-cleaning which caused the she-wolf to go berserk. "I-I'm so-sorry," Jessica stuttered. Cory might have been her mate now, but before he treated her just as bad as his mother. She remembered the many times where he tripped her or pu

The stillness of the dawn was displaced by the heavy morning gusts. Pieces of leaves and food wrappers flew around in the typhoon-like wind scraping against a banner which was crucified against a brick-wall using four large black nails, expanded and compressed like a heart, displaying 'The Gossip Gazette.'Luxair Valley's most trusted newspaper was being distributed all over the small town, but this one was a special edition, since on the front page had the date of King Kanyon's wedding. The once quiet market now roared with rage as scores of wolves from the Graceland pack crowded the town. The stores were stuffed, and street vendors made the roads extremely narrow forcing people to walk in a straight file like soldiers going to battle.Shops with all different types of goods stood on either side of the lane obediently. All the doors were still closed even though the shopkeepers knew very well that the doors would not last long against the might, impatience, and violence of these unr
Hello everyone. Since we're approaching the end of this story, I will be finishing my book called THE WEREWOLF SWITCH next. It already has 87 chapters, and it will be as long as this one, so maybe 120 or 130 chapters. I'm planning to do a spin-off with some of the characters from this book and the Werewolf Switch, so don't go anywhere. The book will be titled WHEN A WEREWOLF AND A LYCAN KISS. Well, it’s more like a merge. It will be adventurous, more fun, and have lots of romance and bad people to kill. When you're done with this book, you can jump right into the Werewolf Switch, updates will be immediate after this book is marked completed. And I personally like that book better than this one. Maybe because I have an adventurous imagination. I'm really looking forward to taking this new journey with you. Some things to look forward to in the new book is we’ll get to spend more time with Cameron, Reniece, Falcon, and Theodore. We'll get to know the Priestess and her daughter April
Ariel relaxed next to the window, gazing at the clouds while their jet headed for the kingdom of Lycania. She felt the sun warming her cheeks while her thoughts drifted away. It was really stressing her out to be keeping such a huge secret from Jessica. She wasn't keen on hiding things from her cousin, but given how hard things had been for Jess, Ariel thought it was the right move. But now that she'd be seeing her soon, she would have no choice but to reveal this secret to her. Ariel bit down on her nails as she pictured all the awful ways this could turn out. With a sigh, the Luna continued to look out the window, cradling her growing belly while she prayed to the Moon Goddess that her surprise pregnancy wouldn't be too much of a trigger for Jessica. Daniel and DJ were sitting away from Ariel as they spoke about werewolf business. "I know you didn't want to come, son, so thank you," Daniel patted DJ's shoulder. With the feral vampires getting out of hand, Alpha Daniel didn't feel
