Xavier was left in a stump as he sat on the couch. He didn't know how to feel in the moment and he knew that there was a part of him that was well aware of the fact that she was right and that everything she had said was true but he didn't know how to change that or how to give her assurance that it would be better because he had no way to provide that for her.

How did not know when he had stopped caring for Allison but it wasn't really something that had happened gradually but instead it was something that happened all at once. He didn't know why but one moment he was completely and utterly in love with her and he knew in that moment he didn't feel anything for her at all.

But he knew and he understood why Nora would feel insecure about that fact he did treat her terribly when she had first arrived and so it only made sense that she would feel skeptical about his intentions now.
