Aiden's POV

I was in the car, comfortably seated in the back, with the driver driving me around the streets.

For days, I had been holed up in my mansion, following Lucy's advice to stay put. She was convinced that Damian's men might be keeping an eye on me, and I knew I couldn't risk being tracked down by them. So I remained in my mansion, isolated and alert, waiting for the right moment to make a move.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I checked my surroundings and saw that the coast was clear, no one seemed to be watching. That was when Lucy sent me the location I had been waiting for. And with a sense of urgency, I left my mansion and set off towards the location she provided.

As I made my way to the airport, I couldn't help but glance nervously at the side mirror, occasionally turning back to check if anyone was tailing me. I needed to be certain that I wasn't being followed.

In no time I landed in New York, and a driver was already waiting for me. He quickly ushered me

LEAH'S POVI paced around the room for a long while and I almost created a deep dent in the floor before I caught myself and dragged my ass to the bed where I tried to still my mind.I ignored the weird pain that had my heart in a strong grip but I couldn't help but massage my chest slowly. I sat up and crossed my legs while shutting my eyes close, my attempt at meditating. I did the deep breathing in and out that supposedly helps reduce the intensity of emotions so I wouldn't cry. He didn't deserve my tears, he was a terrible man and didn't deserve my mourning for him.He wouldn't mourn for me as he was among the people that put me in this situation and I am still yet to forgive him. He doesn't deserve anything and especially not my tears.Eventually, one slipped out almost causing the dam to break but I caught myself in time and stood up and continued my pacing around the room, focusing on all the wrongs he had committed against me, all the ways he had hurt me, broken my heart.'bu

DAMIAN'S POVWe arrived at the house with the little baggage we brought along. Going into separate rooms, we did the usual refreshing routine where we bathed, shaved, and took a nap.On waking up, we went down together to get dinner and we passed by the house, me looking at it with a strategizing look while Clinton was looking at it with restrained anger. We reached a local restaurant and sat down to eat our ordered food when Clinton immediately asked, "When are we attacking?".I chuckled a bit before answering, "Soon, I will let you know when", and he nodded. I looked at him appreciatively, wondering if there would be another person who would win my trust like him. After eating, we followed another route home and went to sleep. In the badly made bed, I silently went over the decision that had brought me to this point.Using the tracker on Aiden, we were able to find out about the location of Leah and I made sure it was true using one of the most expensive, craziest private investigat

I went through my room again for the umpteenth time, still having a little hope that there would be something that could be used in my non-existent escape plan. Nothing was useful, not even the little bed syringe I pulled out from under the wacky bed.I looked at the window or tried to look at the window because it was heavily guarded with steel. Frustration threatened to eat me up but I refused to give up, if it is not today, then it is going to be some other day.I mean, a girl got to have hope to stay alive in this wretched place. I sank to the ground and almost screamed but it was cut off by the guards bursting in.I quickly jumped to the bed as I hoped they would quickly do their search and leave me alone. I also prayed that they don't find my little string of hope but Lucy came in after them.I looked at Lucy in apprehension as she had never deemed it worthy to f

AIDEN'S POVI stared at the chaos or the remains of it as I tried to process everything. I was in shock, nothing like this has ever been done. Who could have thought?A zombie? And not even a weak one. That's what a hybrid's blood would do to a human being. I looked at Leah, or more specifically, her belly as I still tried to wrap my mind around everything.Seeing Lucy strut out, I hurried to meet her by the doorway, "that, that over there was a complete disaster, a thing of shame and I just want to leave here", she complained, anger clear on her face."Calm, my lady. You need to chill about this, this could be the breakthrough we need. We can fix this, we could make something better out of this", I offered, took her hands, and brought her in, going straight for the dead specimen.I crouched down, picked up its head, and started my little examination of it. Their eyes were too green, a lot of wrinkles around the spine area, enlarged and greenish veins around the brain areas, enlarged

LEAH'S POVThe same scene plays again, my blood is collected, some chemicals are mixed into it and injected into some poor random human and it fails. No matter how many times this happens, it still doesn't deter them from their stupid goal.I watched another human being dragged in and forcefully strapped and it pissed me off, more than the fact that I keep getting drained of my blood, ''Please, please, aren't you tired? How many humans are going to die before you stop these maddening failures of an experiment? You have what, 15, 20, 25, I don't know, I have lost count of the number of people you all have turned to some weird type of thing and even killed. Is it not glaring enough? People are dying because you, Aiden are deluded, how are you even okay with that?", I yelled at Aiden and Delilah, who stood behind the glass, staring at the doctor while he mixes his stuff."Shut up bitch, maybe someone or something out there made you the person in charge of the welfare of humans but I don

  • THE REJECT HYBRID AND HIS LUNA   Chapter 131. THE CLOCK IS TICKING

Damian's POVI jogged towards Aiden's property, and honestly, that has been my routine for the past few days. Each time I jog, I keep a careful distance, trying to monitor everything that is happening around there. I focus on counting how many cars come in and how many leave, trying to piece together the puzzle of what might be going on.Lately, I have noticed that the number of cars that come into the mansion has increased. It's clear that something significant is happening, which has piqued my curiosity even more. So, I find myself jogging around the area repeatedly, each time hoping to catch a glimpse of what's unfolding, to gather more clues that would give me an idea of what's going on.I noticed that a lot of cars came by again, so I decided to jog back to my property. As soon as I reached there, I saw Clinton standing outside, clearly waiting for me.From a distance, I could already see the distress etched on Clinton's face, which made my heart race. I quickened my pace, feeli

Damian's POVWe are already deep into the night, and as per our plans, the moment has come to make our move into the mansion. The guards have expertly smuggled Clinton and me inside the vehicle they use for bringing humans. Our strategy was simple yet effective: I blended in seamlessly, pretending to be one of the humans. As we approach the mansion, each heartbeat echoes the urgency of our mission. The humans are numerous, and they do kidnap them, so I positioned myself right in the middle to avoid drawing attention. As we drove into the compound, the guard suddenly stopped the vehicle. Panic surged through me, and my heart raced as if it might leap from my chest. The fear of failing before we had a chance to unfold gripped me tightly. The actual plan was to follow the humans inside, and the guard had provided us with crucial details about Leah's room and the location of the lab. Our first stop was Leah's room; if she wasn't there, we would then make our way to the lab, hoping to s

Leah's POVI was lying on the bed, completely drained of energy. And I had almost believed that this was how it would end for me. For days, they had been extracting my blood, using it to fuel the creation of this strange creature. I was at my breaking point.Despite my exhaustion, I had fought hard to hold on, not for myself but for my baby. The thought of that little life kept me going, a flicker of hope in the darkness. But now, as I lay there, the struggle felt incapable to overcome. My body ached, and my spirit was weary. I could feel the last remnants of my strength slipping away, and I wondered how much longer I could endure this torment.I had already begun to entertain the thought of giving up when suddenly, a voice pierced through the haze of my despair. "Don't worry, I'm coming to save you." In an instant, my senses heightened; I knew that voice, it was Damian. I scanned the room, my heart racing, but I saw only the guards. LEAH'S POVSix months had passed. A lot had changed, and yet, some things remained the same. Life had found its way back into a semblance of balance. The house Delilah had destroyed, the one that had once been my sanctuary, had been rebuilt. Stronger. More beautiful. Every corner of it now seemed to hold new memories, new beginnings. The order that had been disrupted, the chaos that had once engulfed us, was now settling into a rhythm. Things were finally coming together.Damian had come so far in his healing, both physically and emotionally. Each day, I saw him growing stronger, more like the man he was before the war, before everything. He had taken on the responsibility of being the head of the hybrids, and with that came a weight that I knew he carried heavily. But he bore it with grace. His training had become more intense, more focused. I could see the fire in his eyes, the determination to protect our family, to protect everything we had worked so hard for.And the way, he

Where was I?My mind felt clouded like a thick fog had settled over it, obscuring everything I needed to grasp. Panic threatened to rise, but before I could gather my thoughts, I heard hurried footsteps. The sound grew louder, then closer—someone was running toward me.Before I could react, a body collided with mine with force, wrapping me in a tight, trembling embrace. LEAH'S POV"Please," I whispered, my voice trembling, eyes wide with desperation. "Repeat what you just said."The doctor, hesitant but resolute, cleared his throat. "Your children's blood," he began slowly, his tone deliberate, "it might be the only way to save Damian. Their blood has unique properties that could help them heal. They are hybrids, the only ones of their kind. It's uncharted territory, but—""No." my voice was sharp, slicing through the doctor's explanation. The doctor faltered. "What?""No," I repeated, my tone steadier this time, though my body shook. "I won't do it. I won't use their blood."The doctor's face crumpled in confusion. " Miss Leah, this is Damian's life we're talking about. Don't you want him to live?"Tears welled up in my eyes, but my resolve held firm. "Of course I do. I want Damian alive more than anything. But I've seen what that blood does. It doesn't heal. It doesn't bring people back to life in the way you think. It changes them—turns them into

  • THE REJECT HYBRID AND HIS LUNA   Chapter 157 THE PAIN EVOLVES

LEAH'S POVIt had been a month. Thirty long days since I'd given birth to our twins. Thirty long days since Damian had slipped into a coma. Thirty long days since Damian was brought back almost dead into this pack. The air in the room where he lay was heavy with the scent of antiseptic, and the low hum of machines filled the silence. I sat beside his bed as I had every day since the battle. My babies were safe at home, cared for by a trusted nurse, while I spent hours here, speaking to Damian as though he could hear me."They're growing so fast, you know," I said softly, my fingers brushing against his cold hand. "Our babies. They've got your nose. Both of them. And the way they look at me... sometimes, it feels like they know something I don't."I leaned back in the chair, staring at his still form. "I haven't named them yet," I admitted, my voice catching in my throat. "How could I? We said we'd do it together. The few people we know keep asking me what I'll call them, and I don't h

LEAH'S POVThe first thing I noticed was the stillness—the kind that wasn't comforting but left me disoriented. My eyelids felt heavy, my body weak, but I forced myself to blink, to focus on the dimly lit room around me. The sterile scent of the room hit me next, and for a moment, I didn't understand why I was there. Then it all came rushing back. The complications. The delivery. The pain that had consumed me until everything went black.I tried to sit up, but my body protested, and I fell back against the pillows with a groan. My hand instinctively moved to my stomach, now flat and empty. Panic surged through me as I scanned the room. There was no sound of crying, no crib, no sign of the babies I had fought so hard to bring into this world."Where... where are my babies?" I raised my voice barely a whisper. One of my maids appeared by my side, her smile warm but cautious. "Calm down, miss. Your babies are safe.""Safe?" I repeated, my voice trembling. Delilah's eyes gleamed with malevolence as she sneered at me, her long nails extended like razor-sharp claws."You think you can defeat me, Damian?" she taunted, her voice dripping with contempt. "I am the most powerful being on this earth."With a fierce battle cry, Delilah charged at me, her nails swiping through the air with deadly precision.
