Leah's POV

I gripped the steering wheel firmly, as I stared fixedly at the gates of Damian's estate. A sense of unease settled in the pit of my stomach.

My mind was a jumble of thoughts, I couldn't even recall how I'd ended up here, in front of his estate, but the truth was, I had been thinking so much about him lately.

Everyone believed he was dead. But my heart refused to accept it. I still had a strong feeling that he was still alive. I couldn't shake off the feeling, no matter how hard I tried.

But then, it's been weeks since his disappearance, and the silence was deafening. No official statement from his team, no hint of his whereabouts, no nothing.

The uncertainty was suffocating, making it hard to breathe, and hard to even think.
