Damian's POV

I was engrossed in a discussion with some of my business associates, debating the finer points of a potential deal, when I suddenly turned to scan the room. That's when I saw Leah, standing across the way, engaged in a conversation with someone.

Although I couldn't make out the person's face from where I was standing, I couldn't help but notice Leah's body language. Something about her body language screamed discomfort, and my instincts kicked in.

I felt an overwhelming urge to intervene, to rescue her from the situation that seemed to be making her so uneasy.

"Excuse me," I said politely, but firmly, as I subtly nudged the person blocking my path aside and walked towards Leah, my eyes fixed on her with a sense of concern.

As I drew nearer, my eyes locked on the figure standing beside Leah, and my heart sank. It was her father, a man whose disdain for me was no secret.

But in that moment, none of that mattered. All I could think about was Leah's well-being and getting

Leah's POVI seethed with anger, my mind reeling in disbelief. Damian, of all people, had the nerve to suggest that I wanted to go back to Aiden. How could he even think that, let alone say it out loud? Didn't he remember everything Aiden had put me through? The pain, the heartache, the humiliation? Didn't he recall how I had wanted to end my life because of Aiden's cruelty? Damian was right there on Aiden's wedding day, hearing every vile word he spat at me. And still, he thought I would willingly go back to that monster? The thought made my blood boil. How could Damian be so insensitive? Didn't he know me at all? Didn't he understand the depth of my scars? I felt betrayed, hurt, and angry all over again. The wounds I thought had healed were now ripped open, and I couldn't help but wonder if Damian had ever truly cared about me at all. His words cut deep, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that he was no better than Aiden, using my vulnerability against me.It was as if he was

LEAH'S POV Everything feels like a dream. The food, the weather, the room, the scenery, and the man all look amazing and some even taste better, if you know what I mean. I meant food, for those that are lost. My day always starts with the sight of Damian, naked and looking heavenly under the rays of the sun. I usually take my time to get my daily look at him, silently perusing every part of him, spending more time on the part that pleases me. When he stirs and opens his eyes, I do my best to look innocent and guilty at the same time. He will grab me and lift me unto himself with my legs straddling his hips.He would tease and tickle me, I would laugh causing him to compliment my laugh, my teeth, and my mouth and I would kiss him deeply, none of us caring about morning's breath.I will slowly gyrate my hips to wake up Big Daddy without breaking the kiss. He would groan into my mouth, causing my brain to shut down and my body to follow its awakened desires. The kiss will intensify

DAMIAN'S POVI shouldn't have said that but I don't think she knows what she is saying. It can't be. It has to be the blood-sucking intimacy, it makes people obsessed. But what if she does?Leah loving me?How can I be sure of it?This is not the first time it's happened and it was crazy settling it. It made me realize the fact that continuously feeding on one's blood causes the donor to become obsessed. It happened with Tiana after the first few times I fed from her and she lost herself to her obsession with me.She became so attached and would do anything to get me to bite her, I didn't realize what was happening till it got out of hand and I had to get her locked up.I had to keep her away from me for a long while to restore her sanity and self-control. He didn't even inform me before buying the tickets or even try to placate me after I said I was leaving. The drive to the airport was quiet, none of us was saying anything to each other. I was absorbed in my thoughts. Why did I have to say it? It was too early. Why did he say that? Does he not feel anything? For me? No, that can't be. The whole time we spent here together had been nice. We had something deeper than just sex. It couldn't just be nothing. What I felt was overwhelmingly good. I wouldn't compare it to what I felt for Aiden, it was different, it was special. It is ruined. I just had to go out there and say it and now my heart is broken. But why did he say what he said? Loving her might not be the story but we are still writing it.But she is acting pretty strange and the words she is saying are quite hurting but I refused to think about it.I kept mute, not even allowed to say anything because she kept cutting me off.I could only nod.I guess I would just go with whatever she wants rather than drag it out.Still trying to understand her change in behavior, Clinton stormed in "Master, we have intruders and they are vampires", he announced.Leah looked scared and I instructed her to stay put before leaving with Clinton. Why are the vampires here? How did they even get inside?"Clinton, how far have they infiltrated into the estate?", I asked as we headed out of the house."Not too far, they are more focused on destroying properties rather than attacking people. LEAH'S POVSix months had passed. A lot had changed, and yet, some things remained the same. Life had found its way back into a semblance of balance. The house Delilah had destroyed, the one that had once been my sanctuary, had been rebuilt. Stronger. More beautiful. Every corner of it now seemed to hold new memories, new beginnings. The order that had been disrupted, the chaos that had once engulfed us, was now settling into a rhythm. Things were finally coming together.Damian had come so far in his healing, both physically and emotionally. Each day, I saw him growing stronger, more like the man he was before the war, before everything. He had taken on the responsibility of being the head of the hybrids, and with that came a weight that I knew he carried heavily. But he bore it with grace. His training had become more intense, more focused. I could see the fire in his eyes, the determination to protect our family, to protect everything we had worked so hard for.And the way, he

Panic threatened to rise, but before I could gather my thoughts, I heard hurried footsteps. The sound grew louder, then closer—someone was running toward me.Before I could react, a body collided with mine with force, wrapping me in a tight, trembling embrace. LEAH'S POV"Please," I whispered, my voice trembling, eyes wide with desperation. "Repeat what you just said."The doctor, hesitant but resolute, cleared his throat. "Your children's blood," he began slowly, his tone deliberate, "it might be the only way to save Damian. Their blood has unique properties that could help them heal. They are hybrids, the only ones of their kind. It's uncharted territory, but—""No." my voice was sharp, slicing through the doctor's explanation. The doctor faltered. "What?""No," I repeated, my tone steadier this time, though my body shook. "I won't do it. I won't use their blood."The doctor's face crumpled in confusion. " Miss Leah, this is Damian's life we're talking about. Don't you want him to live?"Tears welled up in my eyes, but my resolve held firm. "Of course I do. I want Damian alive more than anything. But I've seen what that blood does. It doesn't heal. It doesn't bring people back to life in the way you think. It changes them—turns them into

  • THE REJECT HYBRID AND HIS LUNA   Chapter 157 THE PAIN EVOLVES

LEAH'S POVIt had been a month. Thirty long days since I'd given birth to our twins. Thirty long days since Damian had slipped into a coma. Thirty long days since Damian was brought back almost dead into this pack. The air in the room where he lay was heavy with the scent of antiseptic, and the low hum of machines filled the silence. I sat beside his bed as I had every day since the battle. My babies were safe at home, cared for by a trusted nurse, while I spent hours here, speaking to Damian as though he could hear me."They're growing so fast, you know," I said softly, my fingers brushing against his cold hand. "Our babies. They've got your nose. Both of them. And the way they look at me... sometimes, it feels like they know something I don't."I leaned back in the chair, staring at his still form. "I haven't named them yet," I admitted, my voice catching in my throat. "How could I? We said we'd do it together. The few people we know keep asking me what I'll call them, and I don't h

The sterile scent of the room hit me next, and for a moment, I didn't understand why I was there. Then it all came rushing back. The complications. The delivery. The pain that had consumed me until everything went black.I tried to sit up, but my body protested, and I fell back against the pillows with a groan. My hand instinctively moved to my stomach, now flat and empty. Panic surged through me as I scanned the room. There was no sound of crying, no crib, no sign of the babies I had fought so hard to bring into this world."Where... where are my babies?" I raised my voice barely a whisper. One of my maids appeared by my side, her smile warm but cautious. "Calm down, miss. Your babies are safe.""Safe?" I repeated, my voice trembling.
