After seeing the horrendous clip that was sent anonymously to me, I couldn’t keep calm. I wanted to wait till Monday before I show it to Pamela but the seriousness of what happened in the video made it impossible for me to wait till that time.

I picked up my phone and put a call through but she wasn’t picking up no matter how hard I called. Her phone kept ringing till I had no choice but to stop calling, hoping that she would call back when she sees the crazy several missed calls.

I wasn’t supposed to go to the company since it was a Saturday but I threw on some clothes and went to work in order to garner some information about the said woman in the video and even the monster husband.

On getting to the company, I was helped by the security with the library and I got access to their information at the employee session.

“She worked here for quite a long time. How come no one noticed or was able to question her death? It must have been terrifying for her” I mumbled as I clicked along the

BEA’S POVAt the question of Petals, I didn’t know when I broke down into a heartbreaking sob. The memories of her that flashed in front of me were devastating. She was a generous person that didn’t deserve all the ordeal that she went through in the hands of everyone who did evil to her.“When I first joined the company, she was the only one that extended her hand to me. She made sure that I was comfortable and taught me everything I didn’t know. I was able to blend in this way because of Vera” I explained, trying to mop the tears all over my face“Did Tina and Amanda bully you too?” She asked, leaning forward“They tried to do that but Vera saved me and took the hits for me” I responded“You told me earlier that she was generous with all her things, why did they pick on her then?” she questioned“Her husband got himself a mistress and stopped doing everything he was doing for her previously. Everyone started noticing and asked her but she was always keeping silent which got them ang

I couldn’t believe what I saw on the news. How could they release him just like that when the evidence we sent in was so clear and glaring? Nothing was working for me and I knew at that point that it was their handiwork, they have been blocking every articles I posted so it wouldn’t affect them.“He even shook hands with the Chief of Police? What is happening in this country?” I voiced out, brushing my hair back in anger“I told you that we are up against people who have connections in high places. These people eat at the same table, shake hands with one another and also cover up for one another. They are not people someone like us can touch” I heard a familiar voice say behind me and I turned to see Pamela standing behind me with her arms folded around her chestClosing my eyes for a few second, I turned to face her “But this is just not right! How will Vera even sleep or rest in peace if her oppressors are laughing, giggling and walking around freely? This woman went through a lot a

Stanley’s comment threw both of us off our feet. We were not expecting such a remark from him and didn’t even have the slightest curiosity that he might know about it.“You knew about it?” I blurt out due to shock before adding a dragged out “ Siiirrrr” He shrugged slightly before nodding to confirm. “Don’t you think it’s weird that I run a news company and I am being deceived? I run fact checks on things so it is natural to be curious and finding certainty to things and people around me. What if I am being surrounded by spies sent from the other companies so I would be implicated or bankrupt from scandals?” he explained to us and we both let out a soft “Oh” at the same time.We didn’t think about all those factors and possibilities. It was brilliant of him as a boss to have those mindsets and my respect shoot up for him at that moment.“I am very sorry sir. I didn’t mean to lie to you but I was being desperate” she pleaded, this time on her knees.Immediately, Stanley stood up and w

As if the universe was helping me at the same time, I got a mail listing the proof of his criminal records that he made people take the fall for. Instead, I brought it as a topic on urgent crises that has one of the highest viewers’ rating. Since they weren’t expecting the blow, it became a hot topic and everyone found out what Mr. Elvis was up to.I revealed every evidences from the domestic abuse video to the least document that could prove their crimes. By the time I opened my eyes, I was being held down by Stanley who was trying his best not to make me fall off the sofa as I fought for my life. Why are you behaving this way?” he called out desperately as he held me closer to himselfEven though my eyes were opened, I was still trapped in my dream. I kept on crying for help as I cried furiously. I was far gone in the trauma that I was almost lifeless.“Petals!” I heard him call aloud one more time and I was woken up with full force.Breathing with all my strength and gasping for air, I managed to open my mouth but no sound came out. I wanted to ask him what was wrong and why I was that way but I couldn’t say a thing.“Are you okay? What if someday no one is there to help him? What if he dies off just like that? How am I supposed to take the news of his death if I stay close to him or even date him?” those questions raced through my mind in the span of minutes and I couldn’t even think them through before my mouth spoke that I couldn’t handle such a disaster. My mouth spoke faster than my brain and I got myself in a mess that made me avoid him at all cost, he sent several texts and gave me numerous calls but I just couldn’t reply them or pick up the call due to the guilt I was feeling.
