Bryan and Aiden watched Kira as she slept calmly, cuddled up in their arms. She was really the most beautiful woman they have set their eyes on.
The Alpha twins exchanged a glance as the feeling of deep protective affection for their omega increased. With the room now silent, Aiden carefully brushed her damp hair away from her forehead while Bryan pressed a soft kiss to her temple. "We should clean her up," Aiden suggested after some minutes. He slipped off the bed quietly, not wanting to wake her up and retrieved a warm, damp cloth from the bathroom. "We are getting pretty good at staying in control," Bryan whispered, "I cannot believe I stopped myself from just completing the mating, but she is really so tempting and stubborn." "Easy brother", Aiden chuckled softly as he returned to Kira's side. He was gentle and careful as he began to clean her up. "She would not have a problem with this, would she?", Aiden asked Bryan. Bryan shrugged while brushing her hair. Soon Aiden was done cleaning her up and went back to rinse the towel and drop it off somewhere to dry. Even asleep, Kira let out a soft and content sigh as Bryan pulled the soft blankets up to her chin, tucking her in. He took a moment to brush his fingers along her cheek, watching the way she leaned into his touch even in sleep, "So soft," he whispered with a small smile on his face. As Aiden slipped back into the bed, he pulled Kira close and ensured she was nestled between them. Unconsciously, she found herself really comfortable and snuggled closer to them. A soft smile tugging at her lips. "She's perfect", Aiden muttered while sniffing her neck, where their mark was laid. His voice was barely above a breath, running his fingers on her shoulders, enjoying how cute and peaceful she looked. "Mhm", Bryan hummed in agreement, "I have never felt anything like this before", he also murmured, his voice quiet and calm, "She completes us." Aiden could not help but smile, despite the worry both he and Bryan had in them. They worried about how things would become for all three of them, but they knew they would never stop looking for answers to fix everything. "She does compl-", before Aiden could finish his words, he felt a very sharp pain in his chest. He gasped, his hand flying to his heart as if he wanted to clutch out the searing pain. Bryan's eyes also widened in alarm as he too felt the same stabbing pain, a pressure that made it difficult to breathe. "Aiden…?", Bryan's voice was strained and full of pain as his brow furrowed. Aiden's face also contorted in pain, his breaths getting ragged with gasps. The warmth that had filled the room moments before now, became cold and very suffocating, the energy of the room was not pleasant at all. "No…no, no, no…. Not now… ", Aiden growled, his hand tightening around Kira's hand. But the pain intensified and spread through their veins like poison, "Was this too much? Did we do too much, I think that is why it is happening right now", Aiden groaned out. The curse was demanding control. Bryan gritted his teeth, forcing himself to stay calm despite the threat from the curse to tear him apart from the inside, "We… we have to fight it", he gasped, "We know how it works, but it seems we…", Bryan closed his eyes as the pain hit him once again, "Move." He shook his head as if he were mentally unstable, trying to push it out, "Stop," he said out loud, still shaking his head, "Move." The curse was creeping into his head, those words, those dark thoughts, "Stop it!", Bryan said to himself, "AIDEN MOVE!", he shouted at his brother, noticing that Aiden was starting to lose control and he himself had no idea how long he could stay in control. By this time, Kira had started stirring awake, the whole noise and shouts from Bryan was waking her up. The pain twisted into something darker, an anger surged through Aiden like a wildfire as his grip on Kira's hand tightened painfully, his eyes darker as he barked out, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD." Although it was unclear whether he was speaking to the curse or himself. This immediately woke Kira up, her heart was pounding so hard, the anger from Aiden's voice almost made her have a heart attack while she was asleep. Her eyes fluttered open quickly, confusion quickly turning into fear as she looked at Aiden, and what she saw was not what she expected. His eyes, the things she saw in them, she had never seen this look in his eyes before, "A-alpha…?", her voice was small, trembling with confusion as she quickly sat up and tried backing away, only from Aiden to pull her back, his grip on her hand increasing as he growled at her. "Aiden, NO!"Bryan, who was now on the ground, screamed at his brother, his voice desperate. He had moved away from Kira, and was shouting at his brother to do the same, but it was too late, Aiden was too far gone. It had taken root, feeding off his emotions and mind, turning his love into something twisted and dangerous. With another growl, Aiden wrenched his hand free from Kira's and started to move on top of her after dragging her back on the bed, his eyes wild and unfocused. He had pulled off the blankets. The cold, suffocating air, hitting Kira hard as she tried to fight him off, trying to escape from under him, only to always be dragged back, his claws digging into her skin, as she winced and cried out. She was so scared to even utter a word, all she could do was plead with her eyes, her heart was already feeling like it would fall out of her chest. "BROTHER, CONTROL YOURSELF!", Bryan growled out, it was hard for him to fight for control while also trying to get Aiden back. "SHE IS OUR MATE, FIGHT IT!", Bryan ordered, all the while still shaking and hitting his head and growling as the curse seemed to also want to eat him up, "Arghhh get out!", he growled at himself. Meanwhile, Aiden's face twisted into a snarl, his eyes dark and his hand now wrapped around Kira's throat as he squeezed tightly. Kira's heart froze in her chest and her eyes widened. Aiden had pinned her down, leaving her nowhere to escape, as Kira's breath caught in her throat and she felt his fingers tighten around her neck. Her mind went blank, she could not understand what was happening or why this was happening. Her hands quickly flew to Aiden's wrist, her fingers clawing at his skin as she tried desperately to remove his hand from her neck. While her nails dug into his skin, it was nothing to him. He just kept growling at her and increasing the pressure on her neck. Kira tried to speak, to plead with him to stop, but all that came out were strangled gasps. Tears welled up in her eyes, her vision getting blurry as she tried so hard to hold on to consciousness. Her throat now burned from the pressure. Kira had started seeing dark spots and losing her energy to fight. "Please…", the words echoed in her head desperately, it hurt. Bryan, who was busy, fighting his mind to stay in control and had not noticed what was happening, finally did. The terror in Kira's eyes was enough for him, he could not let this happen. He could not let the curse destroy everything they held dear. They were not even far in gone and the curse was already making things worse for them. Summoning every strength he had left, Bryan got up and threw himself at Aiden, colliding with his brother, with enough force to send them both sprawling. Aiden quickly got up, his eyes still focused on Kira. Bryan was fighting the pain now in his head as he growled at his brother, his own eyes getting darker. Aiden looked at his brother and growled back, before he started advancing at Kira again who was still in shock and coughing, while trying to find somewhere to hide. Bryan took a deep breath, anger seeping through his veins as he grabbed Aiden by the shoulder and flung him across the room with all his might.Kira, clutching her throat with her hand, trying to gasp for air, quickly started moving away from the bed on seeing the way Bryan and Aiden were acting. Bryan had turned to look at her, but his eyes were just the same as Aiden's.As the fear set in, her chest heaved while she tried to take deep breaths, she gulped and made small noises from the discomfort she felt around her throat. Quickly her eyes, moving around the room, Kira begins to crawl away from the center of the bed, panicking. As she crawled, looking for somewhere to hide, a way to protect herself from the confusing thing that was happening at the moment, she ended up losing her balance and falling off the edge of the bed with a loud thud."Oww", she managed to say, rubbing her butt, but she made sure she was as quiet as possible, not wanting to draw any attention. In no time, she scrambles to the space between the bed and the floor, pulling herself into a tight position in a form of protection. She pressed her back again
Going to get themselves chained up, Aiden asked, "Is Kira going to be okay? I really did not mean to hurt her."Bryan sighed, "I know, and she will be fine, don't worry, let's just get through this first, and we will check up on her, she's not alone right now either.""Alright, let's do that", Aiden nodded in agreement, satisfied with Bryan's answers and most, especially the fact that Kira was not alone. With their mind at ease, they focused on their situation and according to the information given to them by the witch, the work of the injection was to help control their curse, also to reduce the frequency or intensity of the curse. It could also make it more bearable for them. And also a warning from the witch was they would need to chain themselves up after taking the injection just to be on the safer side as the effects of the injection is unpredictable, and they could lose control during the process. Chaining themselves up is a way to prevent themselves from harming others and th
Aiden and Bryan left the room, making sure the door was properly locked. "Alphas", the guards and maids greeted as they walked past them, heading to Kira's room. When they finally arrived, Aiden knocked softly on the door, as he and Bryan both waited. The door opened, and they were met with their mother, Elara."How is she?", Aiden immediately asked his mother who let out a sigh."Are you both not supposed to be careful? How could it get this far?", Elara asked them. She understood what they were going through, she knew about it, but she just wanted what was best for them and Kira as well. She did not want them to ruin things with Kira, especially as it was already ruined. Now this whole stuff just added more problems."How is she going to accept you both now? How?", Elara scolded them, her voice low but sharp, "She has not even forgiven you or us, our family, the pack, she still wants to leave, this does not help in getting her to stay and accept you both as her mate.""Then we wil
Kira kept pondering the thought."I always thought I was different or rather weird. Yes, that should be the right word, weird. Not ever going through heat cycles as an Omega, even after I reached eighteen years, nothing changed," she said to herself and hummed, still pondering."Well in a way, it's good", she finally concluded and gave in, "At least I know I'm normal and can go through heat cycles now," She relaxed her head."That definitely does not mean I asked for this, I am sure I could have figured it out on my own anyway", she said immediately, looking up. That message was absolutely for the one above, the one who is responsible for their creation."Was not even worried about it before, which made me forget that there is a possibility I could get into heat since it never happened, and it just had to happen exactly when those two were there…tsk.""And then what we did afterward...", Kira trailed off a bit at that part. She had totally forgotten what had happened while she was in
The Blood Moon Pack has been allied with the Crescent Pack for about two to three years now. Although the Crescent Pack, Alpha Aiden and Alpha Bryan's Pack ranks way higher than the Blood Moon Pack. The Crescent Pack was the most feared pack, especially with them having the firstborn Twin Alphas in centuries.Alpha Lucien was twenty-four years old. Older than the Alpha twins with a year. He was also a powerful Alpha, tall, muscular, broad shoulders and had green eyes.He smiled as he walked in, seeing his Alpha twin ally that he hadn't seen for like a year now, "Good to see you both again."Bryan and Aiden got up and they shook hands."The feeling is mutual," Bryan said, with a short chuckle. They were not sure if Alpha Lucien was considered a friend to them, but he was an ally. Were they close? Maybe or perhaps not."Please, have a seat", Aiden gestured to the seat in front of Lucien, "Would you like something to drink?""Of course", Lucien nodded, taking a seat."I will get the drin
A soft, polite knock interrupted the silence in Kira's room."Can't I just have some alone time? Is that challenging to understand?", Kira asked herself with a soft sigh."Who is it?", she questioned the person who was knocking."It is I, Luna", the person answered, and Kira recognized the voice. It was the same maid who had come to her, to inform her about breakfast in the morning."What is she here for now? Did they send for me?", Kira asked herself but let the maid in, "Come in."The door creaked open to reveal a maid. The maid bowed and greeted, "Good evening, Luna.""Luna?", Kira scoffed in her mind, "Yeah, right!""Good evening," Kira answered though, "Mmm is there a problem?""No, Luna, I just came to inform you that Dinner is being served," the maid announced with another respectful bow, her voice gentle but clear."Mmm…okay, thank you," Kira said to the maid with a soft smile. The maid left afterward.Kira got up, but she was tense as she glanced towards the door. She hesitat
A sharp, piercing ringing echoed through their ears, like a knife scraping against their skulls. They winced in unison, the pain brief but intense.Bryan and Aiden looked at each other as soon as the painful ringing sound in their head disappeared, their jaws clenched.Aiden inquired, his voice calm and firm, "I choose to believe you heard it too, brother." He exhaled slowly, his eyes boring into Bryan's, seeking confirmation.Bryan paused, collecting his thoughts, "I did." "I need to go for a run," Aiden told Bryan, releasing a pent-up breath.Bryan nodded in assent, "Me too."At the same time, Kira was feeling better than before. She hesitated a bit but found herself heading towards the dining room. There Bryan's and Aiden's parents, Elara and Orion, were already seated; however, they had not started eating yet."Sorry for being late", Kira uttered quietly."It is alright, sit," Orion said to her.Kira nodded and sat down."Where are Bryan and Aiden? They should be here by now?", E
Bryan and Aiden laughed as they headed back home after their run."It is definitely a draw because you cannot say you got there before me. Either I did or we did at the same time," Aiden said to Bryan."A draw it is", Bryan chuckled. "Definitely not letting you have the win.""Your soul knows who the real winner is," Aiden said, raising his hand in surrender. Acting dramatic, "With that said, I rest my case.""So, are we going to do the stuff tonight?" Bryan chuckled and asked Aiden, changing the topic."We should, the sooner, the better", Aiden concurred."And we missed dinner", Bryan suddenly remembered. "I am sure everyone is done with dinner by now and in their rooms.""True."Getting in, they had the maids serve them and had their dinner alone, just the both of them. They also asked a maid about Kira and their parents. The maid informed them that Kira and their parents had indeed had dinner and went to their various rooms right after. The instant they were done with their dinner,
Dinner was great as always—the laughing, the conversation, the playful banter, everything. It was no surprise that manners were forgotten at the dining table, hence the talking while eating, and now everyone was relaxed and chatting as they were all done eating."Dad, Aiden and Bryan are just… they just won't stop messing with me," Kira complained to Orion, gesturing to Aiden and Bryan, who were grinning at first but immediately kept their faces serious when she complained about them."What now?" Orion asked Kira after looking over at his twins. "What are they doing this time?""Nothing," Bryan answered before Kira could. "We are literally not doing anything to her except keeping her on her toes. She can't even stay still on those toes, you know. We are simply just having fun, father.""Exactly," Aiden said and nodded in agreement. "We are not doing anything to her.""Seriously?" Kira asked them, although she hid her smile and feigned annoyance, just so Orion could side with her."So
Kira's mouth dropped open. "You—!"But before she could even finish what she was about to say, Bryan, who was already close to her, leaned down and planted a quick peck on her cheek, making her eyes widen instantly. The audacity! Then, without giving her a chance to retaliate, he moved past her and took his seat at the dining table like nothing had happened.Laughing softly and shaking his head, Aiden stepped closer to Kira and stood beside her. "Bryan, I don't even know what to say to you," he muttered, while still laughing.Meanwhile, Elara and Orion looked at each other with amused expressions before turning their attention back to Kira."Well, at least he was honest about it." Orion said to Kira while chuckling, enjoying how his son teased her. "I'll get back at you, Bryan Tyrell," Kira threatened, narrowing her eyes at Bryan and crossing her arms. "Oh, I will!"Still laughing softly, Aiden leaned in and pressed a soft peck to the side of her head. "Don't mind him," he murmured a
Kira smiled warmly and raised her hand to Aiden's cheek. She caressed his cheeks, her smile growing wider, before she leaned in and gave him a soft peck on the lips. "Let's go," she whispered, her gaze not leaving his.Aiden nodded and smiled back as he started pulling away to stand; his heart warmed from her gentle affection and soft peck.As Kira sat up and got ready to get out of bed, she glanced around, noticing that Bryan wasn't in the room. "Where's Bryan?" She asked Aiden, her brows furrowed slightly. "Did he go somewhere?"Aiden opened his mouth to respond, but before he could speak, the bathroom door opened and Bryan walked out."I'm here," Bryan said in a casual, deep voice. "Missing me already?"Kira turned, a smile creeping up her face again. "Yes. As a matter of fact, I missed you so very much," she admitted as she got up and walked toward him before he could reach the bed.She stood close, Bryan looking at her with a playful smile and a raised eyebrow. He tilted his h
Kira walked slightly ahead of her mates as they returned home together, her heart and mind full.Aiden was the first to take her hand, walking closer and slipping his hand under hers before curling his fingers around hers. His grip was gentle at first, and then he held her closer. As Kira felt his hold, she turned her head slightly, her brown eyes meeting his dark ones, and smiled softly at him before looking ahead again.Meanwhile, Bryan, watching them, walked closer. He decided to do the same as his brother and slid his fingers between Kira's, his hold warm. Kira smiled softly and turned to him, not surprised that he had followed Aiden, her eyes full of love.As they held her hands and walked back home, they didn't let go, and soon they reached the mansion. The house was quiet when they stepped inside, but they didn't stop. They walked up the stairs and entered their bedroom together, still holding hands. It was only when they reached the bed after shutting the door did they final
Leaning into Bryan, Kira took slow, uneven breaths, trying to calm herself. She knew it wasn't their fault for making such a decision, but it didn't help with how she felt inside. She was sad, exhausted and emotionally drained. She knew they would do anything for her, yet those words, "We can't ask you to wait for us," lingered, and it pained her so much. It pained her that there was nothing much she could do but leave. Staying might destroy them even more than leaving. And Kira knew that. She let out a shaky breath as Bryan rubbed her back and whispered sweet, soft words to her, her weight pressing into him as she could no longer really hold herself up. "It's okay," Bryan murmured, his chin resting lightly on the top of her head while he continued rubbing her back in slow, comforting circles. "We are here. We got you."Hearing those words from him almost made her start crying again, but she held back and nodded against his chest, whispering, "I know, and I got you too."Bryan, also
Stepping outside, Bryan leaned against the outer wall. He tilted his head back and closed his eyes, his chest heaving as he tried to calm himself and steady his breathing, but that was impossible. The ache in his heart refused to let up. He took deep breaths and exhaled shakily, his knuckles already white because of how tightly he balled his fists. After some minutes of inhaling and exhaling, he tightened and relaxed his fists, before he felt a hand on his shoulder.Bryan didn't need to check when he felt the hand on his shoulder; he just prepared himself, knowing what was coming, and he knew that whatever was coming was going to be for the best."You know what we have to do." Aiden's voice was low, controlled, and filled with the pain he didn't try to hide. He stepped closer, his hand still on Bryan's shoulder. "It will be for the best.""I know, Aiden," Bryan nodded, his throat tightening as his voice broke slightly. "I know. I just—" He stopped, closed his eyes and sucked in anot
Aiden raked a hand through his hair, the hopelessness of the situation frustrating the life out of him. "I don't understand," he said to Morane, the frustration in his tone fully on display. "There has to be another way! What do you mean, we have to stop being mates?""Look, I am not angry with you. You have done a lot for us, and we are genuinely grateful, but this…this was the last thing I expected to hear. I never even expected to ever hear such," he said as he leaned forward slightly and ran his hands over his face before gripping his hair in desperation. "This curse of a thing is just so exhausting.""I know, I understand," Morane said, raising her hands slightly. "But listen to me first. Please calm down," she said softly, fully understanding what the three of them were currently going through. "The curse can only be broken by the witch who cursed you or someone from her bloodline. Do you understand what that means? We do not even know who the witch is. Talk more about someone f
Bryan, Aiden, and Kira immediately rose from their seats, shocked by what they had just heard. They exchanged quick glances as each of them waited to hear what Morane would say next."What is it?" Aiden asked, stepping forward slightly. "What is the curse?""This is not a matter to be discussed here," Morane said with a shake of her head. "Please, come with me.""That is true," Aiden said, nodding in agreement. "Alright, let's go."At that moment, the maid Kira had instructed earlier came out of the kitchen, carrying the reheated dishes on a tray. "Alphas, Luna," the maid called out as she began placing them on the table. "Are you going somewhere? The food is ready.""About the food," Kira said. "Just put it back for now. We will eat later.""Okay, Luna," the maid replied and nodded obediently. Then, the maid gathered the dishes back on the tray and returned to the kitchen.Morane, who was about to leave, stopped when the maid called out to the Alphas and Kira. And when Kira was done
Bryan and Aiden agreed without hesitation, and Kira followed them out of the room, down the passage until they stopped in front of the hidden room door.Aiden pushed it open and stepped aside so she could enter first. As Kira entered, she looked around, and it was definitely not what she had expected. The room felt too impersonal, too functional. It felt like a cell to her. Her eyes scanned the room, and then she noticed the shelf on one side.On the shelf, she saw small bottles filled with liquids. The contents themselves looked quite strange as she picked it up carefully and asked, "What is this?""Morane made that for us," Bryan explained as he stepped closer, watching her calm expression to everything. "It is meant to help us for the curse. She is also the one who told us to prepare a room like this when she first found out about the curse. She wanted us to be prepared just in case, because she had a very bad feeling about everything.""I see," Kira nodded, turning the bottle in h
