Chapter 4: Humiliation

POV(FIONA),

       Running to the beach, it was a hiding place for me, a place I let go off my worries, a place I can cry without anyone looking, my secret home, but now it was crowded, filled with a lot of people, I ran back to the Kitchen to go help out with the preparations.

"Hey!, Take a rest!, I can handle this!", Bubby said taking the bottle of wine from me, "what is my use, if I can't do this, I don't have my wolf, which means I'm useless, the only thing I can do is help out here", I said and grabbed the bottle from her.

"What has gotten into you?, Did you suddenly get well?, The doctor said you probably need a week rest, what are you doing here?", Bubby said and I really didn't want to bring up the incident.

"Whatever Bubby, let's just get to work, before Madam Pika gets here and start nagging again, seriously it hurts my ear", I said and Bubby went silent which was quite unusual, she stared at my shoulder, and it felt like she was looking behind me.

I turned slowly and Madam Pika was standing right there looking irritated, she frowned and walked away slowly.

"What is wrong with everyone today?", Bubby said and Beatrice laughed from afar, "the party is 1 hour away, everything has been set, let's go have a cool bath, dress up and resume our serving duty, today is going to be real hectic!", Bubby said walking out with the bottle of wine, if Bubby was fine with her chores, why can't I be?.

POV(FIONA),

        I walked down straight to the beach in my uniform heading to the serving point, darkness had took over the day and the moon came to light it up, it was a full moon tonight, and it was somewhat special.

I smiled at the amazing view of the tents, the tents were arranged with ranks, the first one was for the Alpha, the second for the Beta, the third for the Zeta's, the fourth for the Gammas, the fifth for the delta and I wouldn't call the last one, a rank, but I'll say it anyway, the Omega's tent since it was our serving center, the tents were half filled, and we expected more guests.

The higher-ups were clanking their cups of wine while we are doing our best to please them?, How dare they?.

I got to the tent and stood at the cookies centre, since it was least noticable, it rarely had guest and I got chance to sleep well there.

I sat on the tall stood and rested my head on the table, "hey hi!", I heard someone say, I felt tired but I managed to open my eyes, mad before me, is this enchanting figure, beautiful, if I can use that for a guy, handsome, cute, and enchanting.

He looked different and I could sense his energy, he had a Tulip smell, he is....... My mate?", I could sense it!, "Oh!, Hi", I said and he smiled, "I want a full box", he said and I was confused, "what?", I asked and he smiled, "this?", He said pointing at the cookies.

I jolted back to reality and hurriedly arranged a box of cookies, mixing up all the flavors, "cute", he said and i felt startled, did he just call me cute?, "What?, I asked and he smiled again, "the cookies are cute", he said and I sighed and handed him the cookies, "see you", he said and winked at me walking away.

What was that?, Is he flirting with me?, Unbelievable, but why me though?, I picked up a small mirror by the desk and took a look at my face, it was horrible, my hair was rumpled and my mascara was smudged, I fixed this and sat down straightening my back and paying more attention.

This wierd guy walked to the tents and I watched desperately to see the tenth he belonged to, he walked to the Beta and took the 2nd chair, we have 3 betas in our clan, Liam, this guy and there's a female, she's the strongest lady in the pack, she holds the record.

I've never seen her before but I desperately wish I would see her, I stole peeks at the new guy and he kind of caught me once in a while.

"Hey!, Coral!", I called the girl in charge of wines and she turned slowly, "what is it?", She asked coldly and I smiled, "who is that guy seated in that beta tenth?", I asked and she smiled, "my crush!", She said and I glared at her, "what?", I said and she smiled.

"Sorry, he's the first rank Beta", she said and that's when I realized that he was higher than Liam in rank.

I rested my head on the table once again and raised it again, I saw Liam from afar and he waved at me as he entered the tent.

I waved back smiling, and he smiled back, with his dimples showing, he exchanged words with the new guy and the new guy waved at me also smiling, I didn't know what to do, so I just waved at both of them smiling.

Quail blocked my sight and glared at me, "bring a box of cookies to our tent", she said walking away, and seriously, I wished I wouldn't get into trouble, especially not with her.

I packed up a box of cookies and headed to the Zeta's tent, they were only 9 in numbers, they were sitted around a round table and drank like never ending, they were rough, I dropped the box of cookies on thier table and turned away instantly.

"Hey!", One of them said and I turned slowly, "sir?", I asked and he smiled as they all made eye contact, "she's kind of cute though", one of them said and they all laughed, "yeah, she has a cute shape too", another one said and they were starting to piss me off.

"Isn't she your sister?", A blonde guy asked Linda and she glared at me, "sister?, I don't remember having a sister like her, but she looks familiar though, like our maid", Linda joked laughing as they all joined in too.

Tears welled up in my eyes but it would be embarrassing to let them fall, I tightened my fist, but fighting would only put me into more trouble.

"Hey cutie", the blonde guy among them said and raised his hand and tried to touch my chin, I took a step back and avoided him, "take one step forward right now!", Linda ordered and the others watched.

"Can you stop this already!", Quail who had been sitting there all along said looking exhausted, "stay out of this* Linda said and Quail looked away.

"Shall we get back to Where we stopped?", The blonde guy said and raised his hand again, I was determined to twist his fingers this time if he got very close.

His hand was mid-air and out of nowhere, someone, someone from behind me just twisted two of his middle finger as he cried in agony, the others looked frightened and fell on their knees except for Quail.

I turned slowly and he was right there, the Alpha, the one I despise, like a savior, "what do you think you are doing!!!!", He yelled and they trembled in fear, "and you are you that dumb?, Why did you just watch when you should have taken action, I know what you are hiding in this head of yours,

I know what you are capable of doing, I know what you can do without your wolf, I know you are just pretending to be weak!, We're you enjoying being bullied?, Was it part of the training to let the superior's bully you?, Get into your fucking senses and resume your post!", The Alpha yelled and I couldn't help but let the tears out freely.

The crowd were gathered at the scene to watch and it was embarrassing to be the center of attention, "are you crying?, Stop doing that you fool!", He yelled and I cried harder, and more louder.

"Hey stop doing that!", The Alpha said and I wouldn't stop crying, he held my hand and pulled me into his arms, it felt safe, and warm, patting me on my back, "it's okay, it's going to be fine, he said silently, a hug I didn't want to escape from.

"That's enough, everyone leave", I heard Liam say and I could hear the sound of retreating footsteps, he let go of me slowly and his jacket got soaked with tears already.

"Fiona!", Liam called and walked to me, "go back to your tent", the Alpha ordered and he sighed before leaving, "get back to your post and stop sulking already?, The Alpha ordered and I nodded walking to my tent.

Things got preety calm after that and it was finally time for the announcement, "all Omega's should appear on stage", the order was made from Quail, she would be choosing the people to get promoted and demoted.

The other Omega rushed up and I walked slowly to catch up, "Bubby Blake, promoted to Health Omega", Quail said and Bubby was excited, a loud cheer came from the crowd and we all applauded her, "Ashley Philip, promoted to head of health Omega", Quail announced and Ashley jumped up in excitement.

Series of names were called and there was only one left, my name, I don't know why I came last but it must be for a reason, Quail cleared her throat before proceeding, "Fiona,............demoted to....", That was all I heard till everything went blank.
