Luna turned around to see the man, but before she could do that, miles called her name from a distance. "Luna! come here, please." without thinking twice about it, Luna left everything she was doing and she ran to meet her brother. "What?" She asked in a hushed tone, trying to know why he called her like that. "Nothing, I wanted you to leave. Please, go inside. I'm going to explain everything, but just come with me." He started dragging her away from the cafeteria, taking her inside. She didn't argue or fight with him. She just obeyed. When the both of them got to the house, he continued dragging her inside until they got to the bedroom. "Okay, you're starting to hurt me. What's the issue?" She tried helping her innocent wrist out of her brother's hard grip. "Look at this. I was leaving the room, when I suddenly saw your phone flashing at me. I checked it and I saw that it was a message...from an unknown number." He handed the phone to her, as her eyes took in the
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN Luna and Christian continued drinking, not even stopping to take a break. "A-are you sure we wouldn't get into trouble?" Luna asked, her eyes twitching because she was already getting tipsy. "I'm not sure. But hey, I'm sure we won't get killed for this. We're just having fun, it's nothing serious." Christian started inching closer to her. She tilted her head back and downed the last drops of the vodka bottle down her throat. "That was...oh God!" She turned her head to the toner side, as she let out a loud burp. Christian started laughing at her and he placed his hand on her stomach, pushing her backwards so her back was on the floor. Luna didn't know what she was doing and she wasn't aware of anything that was going around. All she was doing was just laughing and trying so hard to not puke. She had taken way more drinks than she planned to take. Even with that, she still wanted more. "What are you doing?" She asked Christian, when his hands were
"I'm really sorry, sir Alex. I really am." Luna instantly went on her knees, with tears streaming down her face. She didn't know what she really did wrong, but the way Alex was staring at her, just made her know that she was in trouble. A lot of it. Alexander crossed his hands on his chest as his eyes moved from Christian and Luna. It finally made sense to him at that point - the both of them, in a room, reeking of alcohol, sweating. Oh no! Without saying anything, he walked away, moving really fast to his room. Chris's eyes widened and they went back to the same size in a second. He knew that he was in so much trouble. Alex's silent treatment was even more dangerous than him himself! "You can come out now! I'm leaving, and-" Christian stopped to belch. Luna slowly stood up, holding on to one of the shelves. She staggered forward before getting a hold of his hands. "Are we in trouble?" She whimpered, as she started crying like a child. Chris shrugged and helped her get out of th
Luna looked surprised and shocked. She instantly got on her feet and she moved towards Alex to snatch the phone from him. He moved back and stared at her accusingly. "I asked a question, Luna. I'm being serious here. I know you're still a bit tipsy, but you have to answer me. Read this!" He handed the phone to her and her eyes lingered in his face before accepting the phone. Her heart was suddenly beating fast, because she didn't know what Alex could be talking about. Anything that had to do with Jess was dangerous to her, and- Her eyes widened as she took in the message on the phone. Jess had sent that he needed to see her that night, and she could only refuse if she wanted to die. She gulped down, and slowly raised her head from the phone. Her heart was in her mouth and her lips went dry. She couldn't think of any tangible explanation to give him about that. "Um-" she opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Her brain went blank and the only thing s
Without batting his lashes, he turned away from her and increased his pace so Luna wouldn't go after him. She didn't want to go after him, anyway. She realized that she had made a very big mistake. Turning around, she sniffed and allowed the tears to run down her face, without making any attempt to wipe them off. Luna didn't want to go back to the other part of the house, where she had met him for the first time. She could still remember the way his cold eyes pierced hers, and she could do nothing but to stare back, with the same intensity. Oh no. She had messed things up and she knew that she couldn't possibly fix that. When she got back to the room, she staggered towards the bed and buried her face into a pillow as soon as her body but the bed. She was having a really bad day, and all she just wanted to do was to sleep...without waking up again. However, it seemed the universe was against her. As soon as she finally started sleeping deeply, her phone beep
Luna was tired, she really was. But, she couldn't stop. She had to find the plaque to leave the house. That was the only way she could leave the house to see Jess, before he killed her. At some point, she felt a tear drop from her right eye, so she stopped searching and rested against a wall, slowly losing the strength to search for anything again. Her legs were on the verge of collapsing under her and she was about to go back to the bed to sit, when her eyes suddenly caught something. The plaque! She bent her back and reached out for it, smiling the moment her hands touched it. The fact that it was that hidden showed that Miles hadn't used it in a while, so he might not even realize that it was gone. With a bright smile spreading across her lips, she took the plaque close to her lips and planted a soft kiss on it, flinching at the dust on her lips. "Now, I have to leave!" She took the phone and dipped it into her pocket, before dashing out of the room. Luna's
"Who is it?" Luna held on to her phone tightly, and inched forward, one leg in front of the other. Her heart skipped beats, as she moved even closer than she planned to. "Who.." She stopped talking when she saw two rats run out of the building. Her brows furrowed, as she watched them go. She released her grip on the phone and checked if she had any message from Jess. Of course, she did. He asked her if she was alone. She replied with a yes, her eyes darting around to confirm. After that, she sent another yes. All she got after she sent that was a simple okay, written as "ok." She frowned at that, because she didn't know what to do after it. She couldn't go back home, and there was no way she would go into the building in the hope of seeing him there. A sigh escaped from Luna's lips, as she glanced at the phone again, expecting a message from him. For the first time, she really did long for a message from him. Her hand flew to her head and she scratched it out o
Luna started muffling against Jess's palm, trying to get him off her. But, it didn't work. "You really think you can leave now? No, baby. You're here now and you're not leaving! It's time, time for revenge. Time for me!" She grimaced at the way his voice sounded against her ear. She tried kicking him in the guts, but he stopped her before she could. Jess continued dragging her and then, everywhere was silent. His grip on her loosened and she fell to the ground, with her face kissing the soil. Luna instantly scrambled off the floor, while still cleaning her face. When she got up and turned, she saw Jess's neck, squeezed in between Alex's strong hands. He was staring at Jess, while squeezing his neck as hard as he could. Luna knew that if he continued that way, he was just going to kill Jess. She didn't want that, she didn't want to drag him along with her issues. So, she dashed to him and started pleading with him to let go of Jess. "...h.." Jess grunted, holdin
