Meeting

Few minutes to 9:00am,the new partner had arrived at New way corps and was been led to the boardroom for the meeting, A young man in his mid thirties, with blonde hair and green eyes. Tall and athletic. He had on a neat blue suit that complement his shoes, he walked behind Lora while two of his business associates walked behind him. He occasionally glanced at the decoration of the building, he was impressed. It was almost decorated to his taste.

“Come in sir” Lora said as she opened the door and the gentlemen walked in.

The boardroom was big and beautiful, still had the grey and white color,it could take like fifteen persons. The gentlemen took their seat in a straight row

“Would you like coffee while you wait for the boss?” Lora asked politely as they moved to grab their seats.

“We don’t have all day princess” The man said with a stern look.

“We will have coffee, thank you...” The other gentleman said with a smile

“Lora, you can call me Lora” Lora smiled at the man

“Okay Lora” The gentleman smiled back at her

“I will be right back” Lora excused herself from the room and returned about few minutes later with a tray in her hand. She placed the cup in front of them all as she heard them murmur a thank you.

“Your....” The green eyed man was interrupted when the doors swung opened and someone walked in

“Boss” Lora immediately ran towards her. The men stared at the boss who walked in and headed towards them.

“It’s a pleasure meeting you , Mr William” The boss greeted with a smile.

“You...are the CEO?” The other gentleman asked

“Yes Mr Mark” The boss replied

“Bloody hell, a woman?” William hissed, as he looked at her from head to toe and back to her face.

“Do you have a problem with that Mr William?” The boss said, William nodded in response. “Then shall we begin?” She asked her smile still on her face.

“I can’t believe my father worked with a woman for so long. I shall not do business with no woman” William said with a frown.

“I’m afraid you can’t decide that Mr William” She said tossed her pen in her hand.

“You can not say what I can and cannot do, what the hell did you do to my father?” William hissed.

“Don’t make this difficult Mr William, let’s get this meeting done and over with,” She said

“You can’t order me around woman, do you know who the hell I am,” William shouted, his eyes burning in irritation.

“This is my office, Mr William and don’t you dare raise your voice at me. You should be grateful for I’m doing you a favor” She said pushing her hair backwards.

“What the hell are you saying? You know what I’m done. Damn you and your stupid meeting, I’m no longer interested in your business” William pointed at her angrily as he spoke.

“Your father was a very cooperative person, I can’t say the same about you though” Her fingers intertwined as she spoke.

“You...arrogant bitch!!” He spat, “ I’m done” He adjusted his suit and started to head towards the door.

“Walk our that door and I’ll withdraw my shares from your company Mr William” She said resting her back on the chair.

“What shares are you even talking about? Go on do as you please” William said and immediately heard Mark begging the woman.

“Miss Ariana, don’t do that. Please rethink your decision,” Mark said as sweat began to form on his head.

“Mark, don’t you beg her. She can do as she please” William said

“Damn you, we’ll go bankrupt if she does” Mark spat angrily towards William

“What do you mean by bankrupt mark?” William asked throwing glares at the man.

“Sir your ass down William, let’s get this over and done with” Mark hissed between her teeth.

“Mr William and Mr Mark, I will let you talk in private and make your decision I will be back in twenty minutes time” Ariana said calmly with a smile.

“There will be no need of that Miss Ariana, let’s the meeting go on. And please forgive William’s behavior he doesn’t know much about this business” Mark said

“Mark...What are you saying?” William groaned as he stared at his colleagues

“Forgive us miss Ariana, I will see to it personally that your idea gets reviewed and an email will be sent back to you” Mark said

“Okay Mr Mark, I will be waiting your response. It’s nice meeting you. Have a wonderful day” With that said, she raised from her chair and turned to walk out.

“Thank you miss Ariana, we will forever be grateful to you” Mark said loud enough for Ariana to hear as she walked out of the boardroom with her secretary right behind her.

With a sigh, she crumbled into her chair with her fingers massaging her forehead slowly. Just the sight of that so called William, she had almost lost it. What an ungrateful turf, she was literally saving the company from bankruptcy and what she got was an insult. Anyways she wasn’t just doing it for them but her old friend which was the CEO of the company. Buh he was in a very poor state at this moment, his health was deteriorating slowly due to his failed heart. It saddened her that she couldn’t do anything about it, although a heart transplant would have been the perfect solution but there has not been a good match for him. He was in a very good private hospital at the center of the city.

She had planned to go visit him in the last couples of weeks but she had been so engrossed in the work. Grabbing her iPad, she scrolled through her schedule to see what she had for today. Waw, she was actually free for today. Such a good day to pay her friend a visit.

“Lora, I’m taking the afternoon off. I’m heading out to the hospital” Ariana said to Lora on the phone.

“Hospital,? Are you okay boss? Should I come with you?” Lora asked

“No no Lora, I am fine, I need to go alone I’m visiting an old friend” Ariana explained.

“Oh alright boss, drive safely and be careful” Lora said and the call ended.
