Emergency

It was Monday morning, Lora adjusted her large glasses over her nose, some big files arranged in her hands as she waited for her boss. Raising her hand, she looked at her watch it was almost 7:30 am and they had a meeting with a big brand by 9:00am. She wondered what her boss was doing inside her penthouse . With a sigh, she opened the door of the car and stepped out the car walking into the building with her 3inch heels. She was about the hit the elevator button when the elevator doors swung opened and her boss was inside.

“Good morning boss, I was just about to check on you” Lora said with a relief smile

“Good morning Lora, I had important calls to make”

The boss said walking behind Lora.

“Okay boss. The car is waiting, we have less than an hour to get to the office” Lora announced and opened the car door as her boss entered and she followed, few seconds in. The car sped off leaving the premises.

They got to the office at exactly,8:30am. New way corps was written boldly at the top of the twelve story building, painted in breathtaking grey and white. Lora opened the door for her boss as they both walked into the building been greeted by all the staffs on their way. It was a five minute walk to the boss personally elevator, a glass elevator where the boss could see all the floors of the building. They both entered and Lora presses the 12th button on the left side of the elevator.

“Ding” The elevator doors swung opened as they walked elegantly into the boss’s office, the door was a neatly decorated wooden door, with a indicator with a writing of CEO. Opening the door, they entered into the large office. It had a grey sofa and a glass table in front of it, by the side of the sofa there was a shelf with different awards won

by the New way Corps. And there was a big leather chair and a glass table where the CEO did the business for the day, there was a brand new MacBook on the table with a picture frame and some neatly arranged files by the side of the table. The most noticeable and interesting part of the office was the wall to wall, ceiling to floor window at the back of the sofa, it had a grand and beautiful sight, one could see the wonderful view of Los Angelos from that point of the window.

“Boss, we have a slight problem” Lora answered

“What is it?” The boss asked

“Your driver had an emergency at his hometown so he had to leave soon”

“That’s sudden, did he tell why?” The boss asked eyes on the laptop

“No boss, he just said it was an emergency”

“And when shall he return?”

“There’s no idea boss” Lora said honestly

“Okay Lora, I’ll need a driver soon. I presume you can find me another one soon” The boss looked at her.

“Yes boss, I’ll send out an application very soon and I’ll find a replacement soon” Lora said

“Okay Lora, You can do what you want, be back quickly to welcome our partners” The boss said

“Okay boss,” Lora turned to leave the office,

“And Lora send my coffee to Martha” The boss said, Lora answered with a bow and walked out the office.
