SHANE'S POV

I could not stop feeling sleepy and tired because of the stunt I pulled from the mansion, so I fell asleep in the small bed inside the small house.

I just hope the owner of the house does not catch me sleeping here. When I got into a comfortable position, I immediately doze off to sleep.

"Ugh.." I moaned. I open my eyes immediately to see that I was not familiar with the place I was in. Where am I?

I clutched my hip which hurt from tripping earlier. I looked around and realized that I was actually here in the small house that I found here in the forest.

I fixed my clothes and stood up. I peeked through the small window just across the river. I saw that it was getting late. It's been a while since I fell asleep. Good thing I found this place because I do not want to sleep under a tree and be eaten by wild animals.

I am too delicious to be eaten by wild animals in this forest duh. It was already dark at my place so the first thing I looked for was the light switch.

I was depressed to see that there was no electricity here but fortunately I found a lamp that could light the place.

"Oh my tummy..." I swallowed hard when I heard the wild sound from my stomach. Added the fact that I could feel my whole body is aching because I ran earlier so I am beyond hungry right now.

I went to the kitchen and it looked like no one was visiting this place because I did not even see any food except for a chocolate bar that looked like it was expired.

I looked to see if it was no longer edible, but luckily, it was. I ate it without ceremony. When I finish eating, my problem now is where will I get water?

I just sighed at what was happening to me. I left the small house to go to the river. Maybe I won't die if I drink water from the river, right? Better than die of thirst and sore throat.

I shivered when I got out the door because the cold air that touches my skin. There are still sounds of crow birds from the distant. It's like a scene straight from a horror film.

I hurriedly went to the river and then stopped to drink water. I did not spent time to appreciate the beauty of the place anymore because I was starting to get scared.

When I finished drinking, I immediately entered the house. Besides being afraid of the appearance of the surroundings, I am also afraid that one of the people from the mansion might see me. I know that their scary boss will find me sooner if I will not be cautious.

Or maybe not anymore because what use am I to him? He won't get anything from me... well, apart from my body, I do not have anything else valuable with me. I am just a beautiful girl with an ugly fate.

I just stared at the ceiling of the house and the tears that I had been holding back all the way out of my eyes. My memories full of sorrows are like a video that play back in my mind.

My heart aches every time I remember my younget sister and parents. The reality came back to me that I was not part of their family. I do not have even a single blood. I do not belong to their family. I have no family.

What was my fault to be punished like this? All I want is a peaceful life even though it is impossible for me to be peaceful atleast.

I sniffed and cried harder. Where are my parents? Can I have a family too? Where do I belong?

I took a deep breath and forced myself to stop crying because it wasn't going to help me. This is not the time to feel sorry for yourself.

What I should be thinking about now is how I can get away from the hell I came from. Even though I no longer have a reason to live, I still try to be positive.

I know that destiny has a good plan for me.

Hours passed as I just stared at the ceiling. When my eyes hurt, I stood up to look around.

It'live's so dark outside and the wind is strong. I did not see anything out of the ordinary so I breathed a sigh of relief.

Aside from a lamp, the light coming from the moon lighted the place.

I even stumbled when I returned to my bed. Good thing there's moonlight shining through here. Even though I was afraid of what I was seeing I thought it was better to just leave the window open.

Because I am not used to not having a light in my sleep.

I forced myself to sleep even though mosquitoes are lurking at my place.. I just covered myself with a blanket so I would not be suck by them. I never imagine an insect to suck me. Someone crosses my mind.

I bite my lower lip, I would not mind if he will be the one to suck me. I violently shake my head and close my eyes.

I felt like I was being suffocated, I could not breathe properly. I can't see anything around. I tried to open my eyes to see the person choking me but I could only see is pitch black.

I kept fighting until I could not breathe anymore.

I swiftly stood up while catching my breath. My hands are on my neck. Feeling horrified.

I am the only one here. I was stunned for a moment. I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized it was just a nightmare.

Suddenly my gaze sharpened and looked at the blanket that was wrapped around me. This blanket is trying to kill me.

I wiped my sweat and decided to stand up first. I need to get some fresh air for a while. I might not be able to go back to sleep in this state.

Based on what I see above the sky, it is early morning. Maybe it's better that I leave this forest as soon as possible even if it's still dark because they might catch me if I do not.

I opened the window a little. I stared at the sparkling river. It shines because of the reflection of the moonlight. Its small waves are calming my nerves. The swaying of leaves are whistling in my ears.

I suddenly became alert when I heard rustling nearby. It was like footsteps approaching me. My instinct was to sit and hide on the lower side of the window.

My heart are racing. I feel like crying but I tried calm myself for me to think rationally .

I waited to hear any noise again. I held my breath until I feel like forever.

After a few minutes of not hearing anything, I stood up. It looks like the footprints of an animal in the forest. I rolled down the window because the animals might have entered the house. I should be careful.

I also hugged myself. It's very cold and I might not be able to go back to sleep. I limped back to my bed and sat there.

The wind outside also got stronger which gave me an inexplicable feeling. At the same time as the wind blew and the curtain danced, the door also creaked. I hurriedly stood up again to close it.

I only took few steps before I bumped into a tough figure. I stopped. Because of the strong wind, I could smell its intoxicating smell as well as the mint on his body. I trembled. The scent was very familiar.

"W-who are you?" I said almost whispering to the wind.

I saw a silhouette of a person and I wanted to cry so bad when I realized my suspicion is right, I was facing a person. A dangerous person that I do not want to meet again ever.

I moved away from him immediately and turned my back but before I could take another step, he reached my waist. His arms are strong and big and oh boy, I am shaking uncontrollably because of fear. And... excitement?

I heard a low chuckle that gave me even more warmth and excitement. I do not know how to react. I have never heard a sexy chuckle that make my panties wet just by listening.

"And where do you think you're going, woman?" said the man with a hoarse voice. The hair on my whole body rose when I recognized the voice. I mentally curse my whole existence for feeling giddy about his warm heat radiating from behind.

"L-let me go, please!" I screamed in panic. My tears flowed abundantly. I tried to remove the arm that was on my waist but to no avail. He is too strong and too firm.

My mouth parted as he brought me closer to his body. I panicked even more at what he did. I am sure that if I can't escape from his grip, I will probably be a cold corpse tomorrow.

No matter how he affects me sexually, I will not regard the fact that he is dangerous and lethal one for me. I could not keep myself safe from him. I feel like a submissive.

"I said let me go!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I could feel his breath on my back. I was so desperate to get out of that place that I bit his arm, near his shoulder.

"Fuck..." he moaned softly. I made sure I bit hard enough for him to let go of me. His grip on me loosened a bit and that is when I took the opportunity to run.

Even though there was no light and only the light of the moon served as light, I quickly ran to the door. I could have reached for the doorknob if I hadn't tripped over something scattered on the floor.

Really now?! I do not have time to react and quickly stood up. I hear footsteps coming towards me. It's surprising that the man does not seem to be in a hurry to chase me.

I bit my lip to think that of course he is not in a hurry to chase me because his men are already outside this small house, waiting. Waiting for his order to shoot me dead.

Even though I was discouraged, I ran anyway.

But before I could even run meters away from him. I stopped when I feel a sharp cold metal above my left boob.
