Loving was hard, but loving a woman who had no clue on how much you’ve had to sacrifice to open up to her is an entirely different case. Only if she knew how much I hated myself for not meeting up to her standards, but no matter what I did, she would never ever believe me. Even at that, I had to keep trying because I wanted this to work. I couldn’t imagine separating from her, that would only cause me more pain.

“Show me a room where I can lay down, please,” she said, walking away.

With a deep breath, I quickened my steps to catch up with her. I caught her hand, and spun her around, making her crash against my chest. Then I claimed her lips with a kiss.

“I’m not perfect but I’ll keep trying my best,” I said in a low tone, but then she fought hard to get away from m y grip while shaking her head.

“No, Farrell, I said no!” she yelled, and then I let her go, staring at her cluelessly. I understood she was bereaved so I had to be careful with the way I acted.
