SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET

My whole body pained,it feels like someone had beaten me with an intention to kill me slowly but I survived.I tried to open my eyes and after a few attempts I succeeded but closed with instantly.A scream left my mouth.I should had opened them.

The worst living nightmare danced in front of me.

My parents and little brother lied in the pool of their own blood,beheaded bodies telling me that someone had taken them away from me by some merciless people.

Tears didn't leave my eyes,they dried and I felt void inside me,no pain,no sorrow just a void.

Suddenly loud footsteps could be heard which also diverted my attention from my slaughtered family to the source of disturbance.Whoever they were,they might kill me as well but I had no fear left for my own life.

Its useless to live without my loved ones.

I stood in the puddle of their blood waiting for the shadows to come in the light.A man,a thin tall man wearing a loose black robe emerged through the front door with a man and a woman behind him in same attire.

"Its very long since we last met my dear daughter."His creepy smile made me puke on his face.

"Get lost whoever you are and I am not your daughter."I gritted my teeth,this man had been haunting in my dreams since I was a child and now I was seeing him in real,it didn't make any sense to me yet I loathe him to guts.

"Its very rude of you to greet your father after a long time my sweet daughter."His smile grew wider.

"For the last time I am telling you,"I tried to keep my anger at bay,my body begun to shake so the ground beneath me,"Stop calling me your daughter.They are my parents whom you killed."I looked down upon the headless bodies of my parents.

"Ohh they aren't your real parents Ellora.I am your father my sweet child.They were only your care takers since I can not keep you in our world for the sake of your safety after all you are the princess of the demon's realm.Now since you turned sixteen,its time for youto return to our home."He opened his arms for me.

"Stop just stop with your shit and get the hell out of my sight."I roared,my anger slowly unleashing,flames erupted around us causing him to laugh joyly.

"That is you dear Ellora,a demonic child.The king of demons,Viktor's child."His thin black lips curved victoriously.

"Leave before I turn you into ashes."I opened my palms and automatically flames sprouted from them as well.

It was all happening without my consent.I felt like someone else was controlling my emotions and actions from inside me.I didn't feel like myself anymore.

"I am going for now but remember my child Ellora,I'll come back very soon and then you would merrily come with me to our world where you belong."He said and opened his black wings flying up in the sky from the ruins of my house.

"Fel wake up."

"Felicity it's dinner time wake up."

The voices of my friends jerked me out from my deep slumber.I opened my eyes and found myself on my bed,in the same clothes I wore in the morning.Suddenly realization dawned upon me.

I was living the same past memory for the millionth time.It wasn't just a nightmare,it was the bitter truth of my life from which I can't run away forever but in my heart I pray the God to save me from my fate.

I am a human not some underworld hellish creature.I never felt the dark side of my personality come on the surface again after the worst day of my life when I lost my family and also discovered who I am or my partial half identity.

I am an out spring of a demon king and a human mother but I am like my mother,a human.

"Fel if you won't come out in next five minutes,I swear I am going to throw all the chilled water on your bed then don't cry."Stacy's warning resonated from the kitchen.

I glanced at the clock.Its about eight in the night means I slept for over six hours.

"Just give me ten minutes Stacy please."I yelled back not trusting Stacy because once she is mad on someone,she act upon her given warning and I do not want to sleep in a wet bed.

I quickly grabbed my night pajamas and decided to take a shower before breaking the news of my pregnancy to my friends.They are going to freak out and probably scold me for my recklessness but what is done is now done.

I felt fresh and lighter than earlier after the hot bath.Its winter time means freezing weather outside so I wore my sweater over my nightsuit and padded barefoot to the kitchen where my friends were waiting for me.

"We thought you passed away in your sleep Fel,seriously we have been calling out you for last thirty minutes."Trixie gave me a look of disbelief.

"Sorry girls I was just exhausted and the heavy dose of medicines helped me to sleep deeply.I am really sorry now come on don't be mad at me."I tried to lighten up their foul mood before I tell them about the pregnancy.

"You're forgiven."Stacy rolled her eyes and went back to the oven only to take out a deliciously looking turkey.

"Did you break up with Nolan?"I asked her with raised brow.

"In your dreams."She threw the gloves on me with a glare.Nolan is her current boyfriend and sixth within a year.

"Then what is the occasion for such a lavish meal?"I asked hungrily looking at the glazed skin of the meat seasoned with my favorite Indian spices.

"Actually I have gotten the job in Dallas."Trixie answered,"And this is our last weekend together so I decided to spend the last two days of my stay here with you two."

My heart dropped listening it.After the incident five years ago,I was lonely and broken trying my hard to find peace so I could move on but the loneliness did worse to me.I begun to hallucinate things that don't exist.I tried therepies but they too failed until I shifted to Los Angeles to continue my studies and here I found my two best friends who proved a family to me and helped me to over come my past.

"Oh its..its great Congratulations Trix."I hugged her.I should feel happy for her rather than being selfish.She had been there for me all these years and now its time for me to be there for her.

"I am gonna miss you two."She opened her arms for Stacy as well for a group hug.

"We'll miss you too but its your big shot and we are very happy for you."Stacy said once we break the hug.

"Lets dig in our meat first girls.I can't control the rats inside my tummy."I rubbed my growling stomach.I have to take my meals on time from now on for my little jelly bean.

"Then what are we waiting for."Trixie explaimed and we dug in the food like wolves starved for ages.

After dinner we took our tubs of our favorite ice cream and snuggled on the sofa to watch some movie before we retire to our rooms.It was the time to finally drop the baby bomb.

"Guys I have to tell you something that I myself found out today."I said in a low whisper which immediately grabbed their attention focused on me.

"What is it Fel?"Stacy asked in a deadly serious voice.

I took a deep breath and told them,"I am pregnant."

Shock was all over written over their faces while they gaped their mouth like fishes.

"I am one month pregnant to be exact.I wasn't feeling well for last two weeks and to confirm my doubt,I went to the doctor today and she confirmed it."

"You're are pregnant!You aren't joking right?"Trixie was first to come out of the shock and asked me.

"Yes I am actually pregnant.Do you want to see the report?"I fidgated with my fingers.It was quite awkward for me to share such a news which suposed to happen after marriage.

"You got pregnant but when and who is the father of the baby?"Stacy asked me in a calmer tone.

"You know when it happened Stacy and I really don't know where does he live or even what is his name?"I lowered my eyes feeling ashamed.Tears threatened to fall from my eyes.

"Hey its alright.We really don't care about who is the father and you weren't cautious.All we know that we are going to be aunties,right Trixie?"She looked over Trixie who also grinned hugely at me.

'Yes we are going to be with you always remember it Fel."She added.

"I love you so much girls."I threw myself into their arms feeling blessed to have the most faithful friends in the world who won't ditch me in my darkest days.
