CHAPTER 3

CHAPTER 3 : EXPLORING HALLOW CITY

KIERA’S POV

I woke up early to do some jogging and to explore my surroundings. I want to be more familiar in this place because I think I will be staying here for a while.

I been running for 10 minutes in the northern part away from aunt Sheena house when I saw a man with a bicycle.

By the looks of it ,his bicycle is broken because he is not riding it .He is just walking while holding and leading the bicycle.

I run towards him to ask if something is wrong.

“Hi , do you need any help?”

I ask when I stop in front of him.

He also stop walking and looked at me. His eyes are ash gray I felt something unexplainable when he looked me in the eyes. His facial features is like a character straight out of action movies. He is just wearing a white shirt and a cargo shorts but his overall looks is screaming charisma. He looks different than the guys where I came from.

I didn’t realize that I’m so focus in studying his looks. I only get back to my senses when he answered.

“One of my wheels is broken, do you know any place near here who repairs bicycle?”

His voice is so manly and suited to his looks.

“Oh ,sorry about that .I don’t know this place well yet I’m new here .” I replied

I don’t know why but he looked shocked when I said that. What's the matter with him ?

“ Don’t tell me you are the girl who just arrived here yesterday?” He replied shocked and looks like anticipating my answer .He looks like he want me to answer no.

“Yes, I am ,How did you know? “ I asked puzzled, because I don’t remember seeing him yesterday so there’s no way to know that I just arrived yesterday.So intriguing.

“Ahh I saw you yesterday near the entrance of the Hallow City.”

He replied while combing his hair with his hands he looks worried about something. Oh I see.

“By the way I’m Lucas and I think I have to go” He added .Hw is looking so tense and worried.

“ Ok , I’m Kiera nice to meet you “ I extended my hand to offer him a shake hands ,but he immediately rejected it.

“ Sorry, my hands are dirty I have to go bye” He said and hurriedly left.

He whispered something but I didn’t hear it.

What is his problem he looks someone who is being chase by someone. Is he mentally retarded or what? Such a waste of his good looks if he is .

I just shrugged and I continued my jogging for a few more minutes before going back to our house.

LUCAS POV

I’m doomed I really am, when the alpha learn that I met her before him I don't know what would happen. I just hope he will not know this, because knowing him ,he will throw tantrums if he will find out about this .Im glad that I notice that she’s the one before introducing myself to her . If not, I’m dead when the moment I touch her hand, because the alpha will know for sure.

KIERA’S POV

“Good morning aunt” I greeted aunt Sheena when I came home .

She is in the kitchen drinking coffee while holding a book again. Wow a certified bookworm indeed.

“Good morning ,lets eat I didn’t know you went outside “ She replied

“I just went for a jog and I want to explore outside but I didn’t see a lot of house” I replied and sat down to eat.

If what I remember is correct I only saw 5-6 houses and all houses almost have the same style made from high quality woods and have a touch of vintage style.

“ More houses are in the other side of the city because the downtown is there. “She said.

“ Ah, that’s why” I answered while nodding . I’m curious now what the downtown looks like is it like in the city where the buildings are modern or is every establishments here have a touch of vintage theme.

“Do you want to go there later? I have some things that I have to buy too”. Aunt Sheena ask while looking at me.

That’s would be great I like exploring new places.

“Sure aunt I would love to.” I said because I also need to buy some things too and I want to see the difference between aunt Sheena’s place and in the downtown.

I’m excited , I finish my food and went upstairs quickly to wash and to change clothes .My clothes are so sweaty because of all that running earlier.

FAST-FORWARD

We are now here in aunt's car and ready to go to downtown.Im sitting here in the passenger seat while aunt is driving. I like the style of her car a chocolate brown vintage car so cool.

Like when I was jogging all I see are tall trees and a few houses not until 1 hour passed .I started to see more bigger houses and much modern style but still have touch of vintage. They are so cool ,I lived in mansion too but the exterior designs here are cooler than ours .

One house caught my attention it's different than other houses .It looks like a castle a very white castle it look so enchanting and magical. No one will believe it's a house in the countryside. How come the houses here are so big and pretty not your typical countryside I guess.

After a few more minutes we stop in the parking lot of a coffeeshop.

" We're here" Aunt said and get out of the car.

I followed aunt inside the coffeeshop , she bought two ice americano because its almost 11 am and the weather is a little hot .

There's a lot of big stores outside its like a mall on the street .There are also a lot of people buying different thing but it's no so crowded it looks peaceful.

"Kiera I will let you roam alone so that you can shop freely" aunt said and handed me the coffee.

Great that's fine with me I wat to explore alone too.

" Sure aunt ,lets just meet again here in maybe after two hours?" I answered.

I guess two hours are plenty already and enough for me.

"Ok, I'm just here in the bookstore in the next building"

she said and left. She must really love books.

I went to my separate way too . I want to shop clothes first because I only brought a few pairs.

I thinks Im starting to like it here there are so many things that I can buy.

I'm so occupied of looking at the stores when I bump into someone.

"What the h*ck !are you blind?" the girl in front of me screamed like a kid.

We are both wet from the coffee that spilled when we bumped into each other .

I just look at her and left . It's not my fault she is looking at her phone too ,so we are both at fault here.

I don't want to cause trouble here this early.So I decided not to mind her.

"Hey b*itch I'm talking to you" He screamed and grabbed my hair .Her long nails also scratch the side of my face I feel that it bleed a little.

I don't think I can let it slide anymore no one can touch me like that.

I grabbed her hand that is grabbing may hair and twisted it fast. The pain can be seen in her face but sorry you started it.Shes trying to get away to my grip so I kicked her in the stomach and he fell in the ground.

"Is that Greta?" "Who is that girl she's not familiar"

"Who dared to hurt Greta?" " His father will be furious" I heard a lot of whisper in the surroundings.

I noticed that people are starting to gather around us , but no one is stopping us I think I have to go before everything gets bigger.

"ahhh! you will pay for this!" she screamed and I saw her friends help her to get up.

" You started it I just finished it" I said and left.

HENDRIX POV

I'm now here in one of the stall in the downtown.

I'm patrolling the area in disguise because I heard that there was a vampire who passed the border and he was last seen in here.

I'm wearing a hoodie jacket and a jeans because I cannot be seen outside by everyone . I'm just standing here when I heard a commotion nearby there was a girl screaming so I looked what is the matter. I blend in the people in the crowd so that they will not notice me easily.

I saw Greta the daughter of one of the 12 Guardians of Hallow City.

She screamed and grabbed the hair of the girl who is walking away. I froze when the girl turned and I saw her face there was a blood in her cheek

. I Recognize her shes Kiera I saw her in the photo my father gave me five years ago. I'm sure and I cannot be mistaken . The long black hair and those beautiful green eyes, she is Kiera Im sure of it.

I am ready to step up and confront Greta when she grabbed Greta's hand and twist it. By the look of it she broke Greta's hand . She said something and then left.

She looked so cool but there's something in her eyes .She look emotionless and sad at the same time.

Im planning on following her when I sense the presence of the one I was looking for. I started to move swiftly but carefully to catch the intruder.

That a*shole must've notice me because he suddenly started running. Thanks to the commotion no one notice us while running.

Bad move because no one can outrun me.

He went to a place where there is no peaple ,an abandon building.

He thought I stopped following him when I jump from the ceiling and went to him fast .

I grabbed him by the neck and pinned him in the wall.

" Who sent you? and what is your mission in here?" I ask coldly

"Al--pha?" He said and look shocked and scared .You must be because today is your last day.

" What a vampire doing in my turf" I said as I tightened my hand on his neck. His skin is so white and plain a typical vampire.

"I -- was ---to-ld to kill he--r" My fangs showed and my nails grew longer when I heard him.

But I need to calmed down because I need to send a message to their leader.

I released him and he fell in the floor. He started coughing and started to gasp for air.

"I will spare you but you need to do something"

I said and looked at him with my blue eyes.

"Yes alpha I will , I just don't have any other choice but to follow them ,because my family is in their hands"

"Tell your leader that if you try to hurt her again , I will not just sit still and do nothing . There will be war "

I said and left .

No one can hurt her because she is mine .
