CHAPTER 3

"Good" He says. " How do you feel?" He asks looking right in to my eyes. "You are so sweet, babe. No one does it better than you do and I feel so good and relieved" I say as I bite my lips seductively with my eyes glued to his.

He gave me a charming smile like he always does anytime I commend his sexual prowess.

"I love you" He profess with a tight-lipped smile mixed with emotions.

"I love you more Dan" I say giving him a reassuring look.

"Promise me I won't lose you to the Alpha" He says with a stern look on his face this time.

"I would never do that to you dear. Why would even think of such?" I asked giving him a long face.

"I promise, Dan. It would never happen. Trust me on this" I reassure him.

"I trust you" He says as he rises to his feet grabs his pants and heads right to the bathroom to clean up.

I laid down for a while lost in my thoughts on how to go about the mission ahead of me. It was such an exhausting thought as I couldn't just wrap my head around all that have happened within a short period. I heaved a sigh and reminded myself that no obstacle will hinder me from achieving this lifelong desire of mine.

"I will be on my way now " Says Dan fully dressed.

His deep voice brought me back to reality.

"Okay" I say with a wry smile on my face. "I'll see you"

"Sure" He says as he dropped a peck on my cheek and heads to the door in a fast walk.

His fragrance breezed through my nose as soon as he left. I stood up almost immediately and went straight to have a quick bath.

I sent for my crew, George and Handel. They need to know everything about the new plan and maybe, we can devise our strategy on how to go about our mission in the palace.

It was evening and in a few minutes, George and Handel arrived at my house in the woods.

"Hey Vee," George says as they both approach the door.

"Hey, what's up guys?" I say as I make my way to the door to receive them.

" Good," they say almost simultaneously.

"What's going on?" George says with an askance look.

"A lot" I say as I try to put the seats in place for them to sit. "Please, sit down."

"What's the plan?" Says Handel with a curious look on his face as they both sit. "Do you have anything in mind?" He ask again and this time with concern.

"Hmmm" I sigh. "I confirmed from my human friend that I am the Luna's Doppelganger."

"What?" George says in utmost curiosity. "What does that even mean?" He says again raising his brows in a more concerned look.

"It means a ghostly double of a living person." I say looking away to avoid meeting their eyes.

"Huh?" They both say almost in fear.

"Could that mean you are a ghost?" Handel asks as he furrows his brows staring right at me.

"Hell no!" I say defensively. "I can't be" I add. "Well, that simply implies that I must not do anything to harm her. I can't kill my own replica."

"What do we do then?" George asks curiously.

"She has to be kidnapped," I say with a stern look.

"Mmh, and what do you intend to achieve by doing that?" Handel asks inquisitively.

"I intend to take advantage of our similarity and by implication take her place as the Alpha's Luna. I will try to redirect the Alpha's mind and turn him against his pack and by that, I won't have to take the blame for the outcome of his actions." I say elaborately.

"Wow, it's beginning to sound interesting, " Handel says in awe.

"How do we go about the kidnap? Do you have any plans in place?" George asks plainly.

"No worries, I will make arrangements for that" I assure him.

"If you say so" He says in agreement.

"Sure" I say with a wry smile.

"Ok then, you should update us on any outcome" Says Handel as he adjusts his shirt.

"I will" I say as I watch them stand in readiness to take their leaves.

"We have to take our leaves now Vee" George says looking down at me where I'm seated.

"Sure, we'll meet again" I say as I stand to bid them bye.

I watched them take their leaves and I went back inside. I paced around my dark room thinking of what next to do.

The next day, I made a few inquiries on how I can get in contact with thugs to get the job done. Got a few contacts and began to make arrangements with them immediately. I gave them strict instructions on how to carry out the job diligently. I also gave them directions on how they can access and invade the palace and single out the Luna, Auriel Shotiz.

The night came so fast, everywhere was gloomy and the cloud was heavy. The thugs set out to the palace with their faces covered in masks in other to protect their identity. As soon as they got there, they carefully made their way to the Luna's apartment in the palace.

Auriel was just about to retire to her bed after a busy day with the palace maids. With the help of these maids, she got to tour the palace. The day was all about getting to know the different places in the palace for her as it is indeed an enormous environment.

She was just about laying down when she heard a strange noise. She sat down anyway and this time was calm and attentive to be sure of what it was. "Could this be a normal sensation perceived by the ear and probably caused by the vibration of air and some other medium?" she thought.

That was a question she got no answer to and after a few random thoughts, she lay down though was still skeptical and unrelaxed.

Just as she was about to pull the duvet to her chest to protect herself against the night cold, the strange noise came really close and this time, at her door and this really raised her curiosity. She needed to know exactly what was going on.

And just like one who just got a renewed energy, she rose quickly to her feet and straight to the door. She peeped through but saw no one exactly. She decided to open the door to be sure before going back to bed and just immediately she saw a gun pointing toward her.

" Say no words else I pull the trigger" the unknown voice instructs.

She nods amidst tears covering her mouth with her hands.

" Now move" the voice says pulling her by the neck to get her to move.

"Where the hell are you taking me to?" She growls almost tearing up.

"Keep quiet I said" he instructs again, his voice gruff and threatening.

She screams out really loud.

And immediately, she felt a heavy metal land on her back.

she whimpers and stands still feeling too weak to move.

"Keep moving!" Another hoarse voice screams.

"Moveee" He dragged her forcefully.

She was dragged to the vehicle and pushed in coercively. Immediately, the vehicle sped off.

"Please, where are you taking me to? What have I done wrong?" She asks sobbing profusely.

"Just shut the fuck up already!" The voice thundered.

She keeps sobbing through a heavy heart.

She is taken far away from the Beta castle to an unknown woods.

The thugs contacted me and gave me all the information I needed regarding their whereabouts and how far they had gone.

I set out immediately to the palace. On getting there, I quietly began to make my way to the Luna's apartment.

"Where are you coming from?" A voice asks behind me.

It was the Alpha's voice. I paused for a while and turned back to face him with my face beamed up with cheerful smiles.

"From the pool my Lord" I reply with a tight-lipped smile.

"Been sitting at the poolside. I just needed to spend a little time alone" I add.

"Oh very well…I understand. You must have had a busy day today touring the palace…" he says smiling back at me.

"Oh yes, indeed my Lord" I cut in immediately.

" I needed to air out a bit" I add.

"It's fine. Had to drop a book on the bookshelf. You should go get some rest now my lady" he says gesturing his hands forward to let me go.

"Sure" I say with an alluring smile.

"Goodnight" He says drawing closer to me.

"Good night my Lord, "I say as he gently dropped a peck on my right cheek. "I'll see you in the morning" I add.

"Sure" he says as he moves back.

I turned immediately and walked away majestically straight into the Luna's apartment. And just immediately, I heaved a huge sigh of relief. It wasn't me speaking to the Alpha all along. I was so scared all along. I wasn't sure if I really acted like Auriel. I needed to act along and I hoped he didn't notice anything.

"Well, I think I will make a good actress though" I smiled to myself.

"A beautiful apartment indeed" I whisper to myself "feels so good to be here…."

"Vee, remember,you ain't here for comfort. You are here to seek revenge and you must ensure that nothing stops you" a voice within admonishes.

"Yes, I am here for revenge and I must get to work immediately and ensure that nothing hinders me" I affirm.

Having said that, I was drawn back to reality by a slight noise from my wristwatch that fell off. I lay down immediately and soon enough I slept off.
