Vanya's POVI thought the mall would be empty today, being it was a Sunday afternoon. To my greatest surprise it was bustling with life. Couples and families were spotted all around. The hum of conversations hung in the air along with the crappy mall music that blasted through the speakers. I had intended to get some groceries done and maybe get some small gifts for the twins too.I had stayed up two more hours before I went to sleep. Vanya's povI sat down on Marco's bed. It felt stiff. I pulled a pillow to my chest and held it close. Inside the drawer I had just opened were three thick leather bound books. Vanya's POV:I stared right into the spaces of the ceiling, the dim light from the hallway casting cold shadows that danced eternally like restless spirits. Sleep hand long eluded me all night, my thoughts a tangled web of confusion and doubt. My mind was now a troubled storm of many uneasy questions. The journal now laid open on my oak wooden desk, its pages yellowed with age and fragile, but the words within were anything but soothing to my eyes. I'd spent a great deal of minutes that now felt like years sifting through its cryptic sentences, every inked word seemed to mock the very essence of my sense of reasoning and belief. He had gone after Vanya for whatever crooked reason it was. Had killed her father, my father's very good friend. He had ruined her chance of having a father and a mother too, potentially making her an orphan. The reason my Luna had no parents as shoulders to lean on, was because of this man.
