When we pulled into the territory arriving at the pack house, none other than Tanner himself stood in the driveway. Shirt off, abs flexed, in the middle of the winter as if the weather had no effects on him. I liked Tanner, don't get me wrong but something about their relationship ate away at me. She confided in him, she trusted him. I wasn't sure but I felt like she may have even loved him. Teddy showed him affection I desired to have for myself. The simplest affections, such as lying her head on his shoulder for comfort, something my body and mind craved.

Spending time at her old home made me realize she was far from the average girl. My silly flowers just weren't enough. But I could do better and she was worth fighting for. I would lay my life on the line for her if need be, but she could handle herself, that much was clear.
