CHAPTER 50 SACRIFICE

TEDDY'S P.O.V

Days had become nights, which then became weeks. I lost count of how much time had passed since being put in this dump. It could have been one week, or it could have been several. Either way, I was itching to be free. To feel the sun beat down on my skin again.

"Lilly, how long have you been down here?" I asked.

"I don't know. I lost track after a year."

Her response making my eyes bulge. Over a year?

"I miss the sun; I miss the wind blowing through my hair. I miss my wolf." She said as her voice cracked.

"Your wolf is gone?"

"After a while she faded to the back of my mind depressed, then one day she didn't respond. Since then, all I feel is emptiness. I am not sure if a wolf can die inside your mind but that's what it feels like. Like half of me is dead."

"My wolf wasn't there for a long time either. Until one day I broke, and she stepped forward to mend my broken pieces."

"I'm passed the point of broken. I have nobody. No family, no mate, no wolf.
