Chapter 2

Allena's POV

I felt like my body was floating while my eyes were closed. I don't know where I am after the old mirror sucked me into it. I don't want to open my eyes because I'm afraid of what I might see once I open my eyes.  But I am curious if I'm really floating so even though I feel scared I forced myself to open my eyes. My feeling was right. I am floating. And I feel like I'm floating in space because I see shining stars all around me. But I know these aren't stars and I'm not in space but inside the mirror.

 I am surprised when suddenly my feet touched something hard.  And when I looked down, I discovered that I was on the ground and when I looked around, I notice that I am inside a forest. I think that the forest I'm in was the forest that I saw in my dream. But I had a strong hunch that my suspicions were right. That I was inside the forest that I had dreamed about earlier.  And this time I was not asleep but wide awake. But why did the old mirror suck me and bring me to this place? Am I in another world or is this place still part of the Philippines?

In my dream, I was attacked by a female worm monster. And if my hunch is correct that I am indeed inside the forest in my dream, it means that the monster worm will be going to attack me too. I suddenly panicked when I thought that the monster might suddenly appear and attack me just like what happened in my dream. I didn't wait for that to happen anymore so I immediately run away from the place where I was. After only a few minutes of running, I finally reached the end of the forest. 

A small village appeared before my eyes. And based on what I see from the appearance of the houses of the people who live in this area, I can say that I am in another world. Because there is no such kind of house in the world where I come from. But what was the purpose that the old mirror bringing me here? I gently shook my head. Instead of thinking about why the mirror brought me to this place, I decided to walk to the house so I could ask for help to return to my world. While I was walking on the way towards the houses, I met three men wearing strange clothes. I was going to talk to them and ask but I was surprised when they suddenly sprinkled a white substance on my face which I immediately discovered that it was salt when I tasted the salty taste of it in my mouth. I quickly covered my face with my two arms to avoid the salt entering my eyes.

"You are a female demon! Are you here to give trouble in our village?" one of the three men asked me angrily as they continued to sprinkle salt on me as if I would suddenly disappear because of what they were doing.

"Demon woman! Get out of here!" another man shouted at me angrily and shoo me away.

"What are you talking about? I'm not a demon! I'm a human. Can't you see?" I defended myself from their wrong assumption.

"Don't fool us! You're a demon girl!" insisted the other man then sprinkled me with salt again.

Do I look like a demon in their eyes? Do I have a tail and horns that only they can see?

"What trouble is this, Ando?"  asked an old woman who suddenly approached us.

"We found a female demon, Old Remi. Help us get rid of her!"  The man called Ando reported to the woman called Old Remi.

"You're all mistaken! I'm not a demon. I'm a human," I insisted.  I removed my arms that were blocking my face and faced Old Remi. Maybe she'll believe me if I say that I'm not a demon. "I'm not a demon. I'm a human. A real human," I said to the old woman. I hope she will believe what I said.

Instead of answering me, the old woman's eyes widened as if she had seen a ghost. Am I really that scary to them?

 "Don't hurt her. She's not a demon," old Remi suddenly stops the three men from what they were doing to me. It seems that they were still hesitant to follow what Old Remi said but in the end they also followed what the old man said. I took a deep sigh. I feel relief that Old Remi seems to believe my words. "What is your name and what are you doing here in our place?"  Old Remi asked me.

I smiled at her before I speak. "I'm Allena. I don't know how I ended up here in your world. All I remember is that I was suddenly sucked in by the strong energy that came from the old mirror after the necklace I was wearing with a large white fang pendant lit up," I explained to Old Remi. I secretly hoped that she could be able to help me back to my world.

"You were sucked in by the energy that came from inside the mirror? Is the mirror you're talking about the mirror of life, Allena? And the fang you're talking about is Linux's fang jewel? How did you get the fang jewel?" Old Remi asked me with wide eyes.

"I don't know what the mirror that sucked me up is called. And I also don't know how that necklace with the fang pendant ended up on my neck. It just appeared on my neck suddenly," I quickly explained to Old Remi.  "But can you help me get back to my world, Old Remi?"

 "I'm sorry to say this, Allena. But the only way you can go back to where you came from is if you get Linux's necklace back in your possession or maybe when the mirror of life appears again," Old Remi answered me.

"Huh? But that necklace is gone, Old Remi. It suddenly disappeared when I arrived here in your world," I noticed earlier that the necklace I was wearing suddenly disappeared but I just didn't pay attention to it. I didn't know that it was so important for me to make me return to my world. "Also, when will the mirror of life you speak of appear again?"

Before Old Remi could answer my question, the three men suddenly screamed while running in fear.

"Monster! The monster is attacking us!" Ando shouted while running to find a safe place to hide from the monster.

"Run, Allena! Save yourself!" Old Remi shouted at me before she runs and finds a safe place to hide.

My eyes widened when I saw that the monster that attacking now was the faceless monster female worm that I saw in my dream. I ran into the forest when the monster suddenly attacked me.

"Ahhh!!" I shouted as I was thrown into the air after the monster pierced the ground I was running on. I winced in pain as my body fell to the ground.  When I raised my face, I was almost stunned to see the man I dreamed of who was locked in a sky-blue fire cage. I also saw the glowing arrow stuck in his chest.  If only there wasn't a monster attacking us I would have stared at the man but I didn't have time to do that now. I quickly stood up and entered the cage without hesitation. And just like in my dream, I also didn't feel that my body is being burned when I entered the cage even though the bars seemed to be burning.

"The sacred cage of my teacher! You have entered the sacred cage without being burned. You are the reincarnation of my teacher! You are also our goddess!" Old Remi exclaimed as her eyes widened while looking at me. I didn't pay attention to what she said because I saw that the monster was going to attack me again.

 "Give me your face!" the screamed of female worm monster then her head suddenly stuck to the ground but only outside the cage. I don't why it can enter the cage just like I did. When the ground suddenly shook, I accidentally hugged the imprisoned man's waist. But I immediately let go of him when I felt that his body suddenly becomes warm just like what happened in my dream. And when I looked at his face, I saw that he is already awake and is now looking at me with anger in his eyes.

 "What are you waiting for, Sabina? Pull the arrow out of my chest if you don't want to become the food of this worm and give your face to her!" the man snorts at me.

"Don't follow him! Linux is such an evil demon that he shouldn't be able to escape in his cage!" Ando suddenly shouted at me. He is now standing near Old Remi who was just looking at us and didn't say a word.

"Huh! Do you think you can defeat that monster without my help?" the man whose name is Linux said with a grimace on his face. So he is the man that Old Remi called Linux and the owner of the necklace that suddenly appeared around my neck?

 I suddenly clung to Linux 

when the ground shook again. I think this guy is strong and can fight the monster worm that is attacking us. I have no choice but to pull out the glowing arrow stuck in his chest.

"Can you kill that monster?" I talked with him.

 Linux snorted haughtily before answering my question. "It's like you don't know me, Sabina. You know that I can't only kill this kind of weak monster but I can also kill other demons," he answered me with an arrogant tone.

When I heard what he said, I suddenly pulled out the glowing arrow from his chest. The moment I pulled out the arrow, the sky blue-fire cage suddenly disappeared along with the rope tied to his body and the arrow in my hand. I was thrown away because of the strong energy that seemed to explode in front of me when that strange cage disappeared.

 "I'm finally free! It's time for my revenge!" Linux said with a grin on his face as he stretched out his hands. Suddenly, the nails on his fingers grew longer. He looks like a dog ready to pounce on its future victim.

 I secretly prayed that I hadn't made a mistake in releasing Linux from his cage.

 Linux defeated the monster using only his sharp claws. The monster disappeared after Linux dismembered its body.

"Allena. Are you the reincarnation of my teacher Sabina?" asked Old Remi who suddenly approached me.

I was about to open my mouth to tell her that I am not the reincarnation of her teacher but I was stopped when Linux suddenly faced me with a devilish grin on his lips.

"The monster is gone, Sabina. It's time for me to kill you. It's payback time!" Linux shouted then suddenly jumped towards me with his sharp claws ready to kill me.
