CHAPTER 02

The day went kind of rough coz juniors and some of seniors that saw us, Grey in the field kanina ay nagkakagulo. Rumors we’re spreading about me and grey, na kesyo nag de-date daw kami. I have to talk to Grey tomorrow so we can clear things out to everyone.

Papunta ako sa isang restaurant ngayon, alone. I was about to invite Saf but she said she’s gonna visit her parents. I want to be there for her but she said she can do it alone. Eversince her parents died, it’s like her life turned into black and white. Kaya hanggang andito ako I won’t leave her.

I arrive at the restaurant then ordered food. It was kind of lonely coz I’m eating alone. I was just looking outside the window, and it makes me realize that this is life. At the end of the day, you are still the one yourself can count on.

I thought I'm gonna be eating alone but someone just joined me. It was Grey.

“I hope you would not mind me joining you for dinner.” he said and smiled kaya nginitian ko rin siya.

“I won’t mind, actually I was quietly wishing that there’s someone who would join me.” I replied. Sakto rin na dumating na ang orders namin. Naka order na pala siya and he’s alone too, kaya when he saw me nilapitan na niya ako.

“Umm Grey…about the rumors… ah.” I was kind of shy to asked him about it. Hello, he’s the school heartthrob, star soccer player and soon-to-be CEO of Dark Shades Co.

“Oh, don’t worry about it. I’m gonna handle it, just go with the flow and I’ll have a press conference.” I was shocked to hear his statement. What the fudge?! Prescon?! Really?!

“Wait, prescon? isn't it too much? We can just simply announce that the rumors aren't true.” I suggested.

“Well, that’s okay if the news we’re just around the school but it’s all over the internet.” my eyes widened, what the fudge?! He handed me his phone, and his really telling the truth.

They we’re pictures of us in the different angle noong nasa school ground kami kanina nag–uusap. Parang kinikilig talaga sila. And I was more shock to see a picture of us, just now. Me and Grey eating dinner together. Napalingon ako sa paligid. People we’re looking at us which made me uncomfortable.

“Hey it’s okay, don’t mind them. I’m gonna schedule the press conference tomorrow.” he said and made me somehow breathe. I can’t stand to live like this na every gala ko makikilala nila ako, and I don’t wanna be involve in such stuffs.

Nang matapos na kaming kumain, we both got outside the restaurant. They we’re flashing cameras, well it’s okay atleast hindi buong media kundi hindi ko alam kung pano kami lulusot ni Grey.

“I’m gonna pick you up tomorrow, Let’s just attend class at the afternoon.” he said while playing his car keys in his fingers.

“Okay, thanks. I’ll just dm you my address.” I replied, tsaka nakipag beso siya at nagpaalam na rin.

Before I can go to my car, a car suddenly rushed just in front of me! I was almost hit! Buti nalang talaga wala, at talagang wala siyang pakialam, pinaharurut niya lang ang kotse. Not even bothering to check on me! Ugh!

Kinabukasan sinundo nga ako ni Grey, he said sa building din ng company nila gaganapin ang press conference. Kinakabahan ako sa mangyayari, this is my first time. I hope this would turn out well, napansin siguro ni Grey ang pagiging balisa ko kaya he tapped my shoulders and smiled.

“It’s gonna be okay, don’t be nervous.” tango lang ang naging sagot ko sa kanya, we finally arrive in front of their company. Media was around their building. Kahit na nasa sasakyan pa kami they we’re flashing their cameras. Grey handed me a small rectangular box, with a brand name Dark Shades, nagtaka ako kung ano iyon.

“Wear that, your eyes might hurt.” he said, I opened the box and I looked at him with my eyes wide. The shades has my name on it at the side.

“Especially for you.” sabi niya at naunang bumaba at umikot para pagbuksan ako ng pinto. I wore the glasses quickly when he opened the door. He offered me his hand, tinanggap ko naman iyon. Binigay niya sa isang guy ang keys niya. Sabay naming nilusutan ang media. Ang dami nilang tanong at talagang nagakagulo sila. Bakit ba kasi na involve ba ako dito kay Grey.

Nang makapasok na sa hall, nakasunod parin ang media samin. Pinaupo na kami sa harap to start the Prescon. Parang wala akong naririnig dahil sa kaba ko. Grey let me remove my shades kaya mas kinabahan ako. People we’re gossiping around. And now we’re starting to answer some questions fom the crowd, I’m more nervous.

“What’s your name miss?”

“Anastacia Bonnette Corpuz.” I answered nervously but still manage to smile, para naman hindi ako magmukhang timang.

People we’re gossiping when I introduced my name, probably wondering if I’m Brandon’s daughter. Even Grey was shocked to know about it.

“That’s explains why you are good at soccer.” Grey whispered and smiled. He really likes smiling huh.

“Are you and Mr. Grey dating, Miss Anastacia?” I looked at Grey before I turned to the media.

“No we’re not, that was just a misunderstanding.” I answered at mas lumakas ang bulungan. Grey hold my hand below the table, which help me ease my nervousness.

“We’re really here to make things clear, Anastacia and I are not dating.” Grey spoke too.

“But is there a chance for the both of you to date?” tanong nila ulit. Grey looked at me kaya napatingin ako sa kanya, napatili naman ang crowd.

“Well, everybody ships the both of you. You two both fit each other.” sabi ulit ug nagtanong sa crowd. Kaya napalingon ako sa kanya.

“If she… would let me, so why not?” Nagulat kong nilingon si Grey, what is he saying!?

“A girl like her is not hard to love.” mas nagulat ako sa dinagdag niya. I feel like my heart is aching. What the fudge is happening!? Iba ang napag usapan namin, The situation got worst tuloy.

“Grey…” nagtataka ko siyang tinignan. Nagulat ako ng tumayo siya at may kinuha sa gilid, it was flowers and chocolates.

“What are you doing?” I whispered and trying to stop him.

Lumapit siya sa mic sa may crowd left me standing alone in the stage.

“Anastacia Bonnette Corpuz, will you marry me?” my eyes literally widened because of what he said. I didn't expect that coming…

Akala ko court lang pero bakit marry agad? Pero bakit ganito? I thought we we’re clearing the rumors. The crowd was starting to cheer. He walk towards me and got a little box out of his pocket.

Hindi ko inaakala na ganito ang mangyayari, like I’ve met him before but we’re not even close. Like kahapon lang kami nagka usap, and now his proposing? Shocks! Im still 18! Unbelievable! Gosh what a scene!
