Hades,

The air reeked of blood. Thick, metallic, suffocating. It clung to the damp stone walls, soaked into the dirt-covered floor, and dripped sluggishly from the chains overhead. The dim torches flickered, their weak flames barely cutting through the oppressive darkness that hung in the underground chamber like a death shroud.

The prisoner groaned beneath me, his back flayed open from the whip in my grip. Red stained my hands, my arms, even the edges of my boots where his blood had splattered. The sight should have satisfied me. It usually did.

But not tonight.

Tonight, my mind was elsewhere.

On her.

Elysia.

A mistake.

She had called it a mistake.

The whip cracked through the silence once more, splitting through torn flesh. The man barely had the strength to scream, his body jerking weakly against his restraints. My lip curled in frustration.

She thought herself so untouchable, so resolute. As if she hadn’t trembled in my grasp, as if her body hadn’t sung

Elysia,The quiet of my room enveloped me as I sat on the edge of the bed, the book open in my hands. The scent of ink and old pages swirled in the air, a comforting presence that calmed my restless mind. Grandma Aurora’s words from the past lingered in my thoughts as I turned the pages slowly.Everyone is extraordinary in their own world. They create their own universe, define their own truths, and find their paths to fulfillment, happiness, and peace. Her words had always been a guiding light, reminding me that not all things were as they seemed. Even within the darkness of the Wraithborn family, there was a world where we each held our purpose. I couldn’t deny that their world, though complex and shadowed, was driven by something deeper—something I hadn’t yet fully understood.A sharp knock on my door pulled me from my thoughts. Before I could respond, the door swung open, and Halia entered, her expression knowing."Still reading?" she asked, her tone laced with amusement as she c

Hades,The half-hour before the ceremony was filled with an uncomfortable tension, one I could never quite shake. Halia’s voice had cut through the stillness of my thoughts, her tone light but filled with mischief. "I have a surprise for you, Hades."From childhood, “surprise” was always a loaded word when it came from her. It meant frogs in my lunchbox, lizards hidden in my birthday cake, or insects shoved into my meals just to see my reaction. I could already feel my irritation building, preparing myself for whatever ridiculous thing she had planned this time. I was used to her pranks, but that didn’t make them any less annoying. I wanted to have a perfect celebration without any interruption. It was a huge moment and I needed to do the best. Yet, when she arrived, it wasn’t what I expected. It was her.Elysia Celeriac. The ceremony began, but I barely heard the words. My eyes locked on her once more. She was sitting in the corner of the second floor, a good distance away, but her

Persephone Winterthorn, The after party of the Alpha succession was held in the Great Hall. Everyone was there, the entire pack, enjoying the BBQ, wine and local cuisines. The hall was alive with the hum of voices, but all I could hear was the thudding of my own heartbeat. Every glance, every smile, felt like a jagged knife digging deeper. There they were—Hades and that damn outsider, Elysia. The way he looked at her, the way he couldn't seem to tear his eyes away from her. It sent a cold fury through me, curling in my stomach like a vicious snake. I had known from the moment I saw her that she would be a problem. Elysia Celeriac. The commander of the Moonlit Silver Wolf Pack. A woman who didn’t belong here, whose presence tainted everything. She wasn’t from a noble family, she wasn’t someone worthy of Hades’s attention, yet he was drawn to her in a way I couldn't comprehend. She stood there, as though she belonged. As though she were one of us. And Hades, the idiot, watched he

I watched them—the two bastards—stalking her. Elysia. She was tipsy, unsteady on her feet, and blissfully unaware of the danger lurking in the shadows. Halia was caught up in conversation with her friends, oblivious to what was about to unfold. Elysia, as drunk as she was, stood up and staggered toward the bathroom, a small, erratic movement that I could only watch. “Where are you going?” Halia’s voice rang out, a touch of concern, but Elysia merely waved her off. My gaze followed her, fixed on the way she walked, oblivious to everything around her. I caught sight of the men then, two of them, trailing behind her like vultures. A smile curved on my lips, cruel and sweet. The taste of wine was smoother now, laced with the anticipation of what was to come. I felt his presence—Hades—his eyes still locked on the room, but I could tell his mind wasn’t here. It was elsewhere, searching for *her*. That bitch. Elysia. I shifted closer to him, positioning myself like a shadow. He was standi

Hades,The celebration was in full swing, laughter and music echoing in the air. I stood among the crowd, a glass of wine in hand, my thoughts anything but on the festivities around me. Persephone, with her ever-present thirst for power, had been trying to get my attention all evening, her eyes following my every move like a predator circling its prey. She had no idea I could see through her. But that didn’t stop her from playing the game. I noticed the moment she slipped the request to the bartender. The aphrodisiac she asked him to add to my wine—how predictable. I wasn’t fooled for a second. The moment Carlos had sensed her plan through the mindlink, he’d alerted me, his voice sharp and urgent. “She’s trying to drug you, Hades.”I played it cool, raising my glass to my lips, swirling the wine as I considered my next move. Persephone didn’t know I knew. She was oblivious to the fact that I was fully aware of her manipulation. I let her think she was in control. I let her believe sh

The moment Elysia’s body pressed against mine, something inside me snapped—a shift that I didn’t expect, but couldn’t deny. Her hands, trembling with a mix of urgency and confusion, fumbled with the buttons of my shirt, as though the fabric was the only thing separating us. I should have stopped her, should have put distance between us and reminded myself that this was a dangerous game. It was going to be another hate game between us. But in that instant, all I could feel was the overwhelming heat of her skin against mine, the way she seemed to fit into me as if she had always belonged there. Her breath was shallow, her chest rising and falling in quick succession as she fought the effects of the drugs those bastards had given her. I could feel her body trembling—her strength and her vulnerability intertwined. She was a warrior, a fighter, but right now, in my arms, she was nothing more than a woman on the edge. The sharp scent of her, heady and wild, only fueled the hunger that I

Elysia,The first sensation that I was aware of when my eyes fluttered open was the sharp pounding of my head, like a thousand hammers were relentlessly striking my skull. I could feel the weight of someone else’s presence beside me, the warmth of another body—his body.Hades.My breath caught in my throat, my heart racing as panic surged through me. My skin felt sticky, coated in a sheen of sweat, and the heat radiating from the body next to me seemed to press down on me like a suffocating force. What happened? The memories came back to me in fragmented flashes—hazy images of the night, the sound of laughter, the taste of the wine, and then... a sharp, searing pain in the back of my neck. The world had tilted, everything spinning out of control as the edges of my consciousness blurred. I had been drugged. I tried to push myself up, my body aching, my legs unsteady. Hades,The first thing I noticed when I woke was the silence.A thick, heavy silence that filled the room like a suffocating fog. My eyes snapped open, instinctively searching the room. There was a lingering warmth in the air, the soft scent of her still clinging to the sheets, but she was—gone.Elysia.My heart clenched. Panic gripped me immediately. The sheets beside me were rumpled, as if she had tossed and turned, but there was no trace of her. No sign. I shot up from the bed, the sense of unease growing with every passing second. The light filtering in through the window told me it was still early morning, but everything felt wrong. My hands were already moving, searching for any sign of her. Her scent was faint, almost indistinguishable, swallowed by the air. I stood up, fists clenched, and immediately reached for my clothes, my mind racing. She couldn’t have just disappeared. I wouldn’t let her. I’d been in her presence just moments ago, and now... nothing. Where the hell is

  • THE GAMMA'S DAUGHTER    Returning home

When I woke up, I was already in the human world. Ruby had been staying with my father, Gamma Celeriac, while I recovered. We left the house shortly after my awakening, accompanied by Carlos and Hades. From Carlos, I learned that Jonathan was still the Alpha. I could not hide my disappointment. My father had been waiting for me, he said. But I did not understand. Why wait? Why not simply overthrow Jonathan? Dad could have easily dealt with him.As those thoughts clouded my mind, Hades leaned toward me, breaking my silent brooding."What's with that long face?" he asked, his voice unusually gentle. Sitting inside the private plane, I couldn't seem to pull myself away from the haunting memory of my interaction with the Moon Goddess."Nothing!" I chirped, forcing a smile as I tilted my head to the side. In a desperate attempt to lighten the mood, I teased, "Did you lose weight? Your waistcoat looks loose!" My fingers lightly trailed down his chest, feeling the hard lines of muscle hidde

My body felt light, like feathers drifting in a slow, timeless dance. I found myself standing barefoot on the soft, cool sand, the wind weaving its invisible fingers through my hair, lifting the strands like whispers. The air carried a faint scent of something sweet — like a meadow far away — and each breath I took was like tasting serenity itself. Everything around me felt still. Frozen in an endless, perfect moment. My heart was... calm. Quiet. Almost unnaturally so. I couldn’t feel pain. I couldn’t feel longing. I couldn’t miss anything or wish for anything. It was just me. Me and this strange, unbroken peace, weaving around my very soul like a lullaby. There were no memories pressing on my chest. No noises tearing through my thoughts. Just pure calmness. And then, through the gentle hum of silence, came a voice — soft, familiar, and warm like a blanket on a cold night."Elysia," it called.I turned without thinking. And there she was.She stood just beside me, her presen

"My father said…" The leader of the Wizards stood tall, his pale face tilted upward with arrogance, as though the world itself were beneath his feet. His voice echoed with a tone that sliced through the tension in the air, sharp and unsettling. "Witches are the hunters of Wolves and Vampires. The most thrilling moment of a wizard’s life is to make a stew from their blood… and drink them." He chuckled, a slow, rotten sound that sent a ripple of discomfort across our group. His sunken eyes scanned us, predatory and gleaming with amusement. "But those who dare to be arrogant," he paused, dragging each word like a blade across flesh, "should be bestowed with cruel, harsh deaths. Including…" He stepped forward, and that’s when we noticed the limp. A wooden cane revealed itself from beneath his flowing black robes, the intricate carvings glowing faintly with runes older than memory. Before I could react, Hades wrapped an arm around my waist and launched us backward with a powerful jump.

I was stunned when he said it.His voice had been quiet, almost hesitant, but the weight of his words struck me like a storm breaking over calm waters. He knew. He knew about my second chance at life. That impossible secret I had buried deep inside me, locked beneath layers of silence and fear—he had just spoken it aloud like it was nothing. Like it was normal. Like it didn’t change everything.I wanted to ask how. I wanted to understand. But I couldn’t focus on him anymore.Because the Dark Stone was pulsing in my hand.A deep, thrumming beat—slow and relentless. It wasn’t just a stone. It felt alive. And with every passing second, it dug deeper, pressing its will into my skin, into my blood, until I could feel it crawling through my veins like smoke made of shadow. It whispered to me."Power. Corruption. Madness."The words slithered through my thoughts like snakes, coiling tightly around the parts of me I didn’t want to acknowledge—the anger, the grief, the desperation. It knew who

Elysia,The moment the figure stepped into the moonless clearing, I knew we weren’t alone. Something ancient stirred in the shadows—its hunger palpable, its gaze unseen but heavy on my skin.I tightened my hold on Hades, but my eyes remained ahead, locked on the figure cloaked in midnight. Around us, the darkness pulsed with unnatural rhythm, and one by one, more emerged—cloaked beings, their hands already crackling with magic.Wizards. No... sorcerers. Old ones. They formed a circle, trapping us in a ring of glowing runes etched into the ground. Their faces were hidden beneath deep hoods, but I could feel their magic thrumming like a war drum—primordial, malicious. The sky was darker than we remembered.. The lightning was displaying like a hired actor in the distance. Hades bared his fangs, his eyes glowing crimson with fury as his wings spread wide behind him. The air turned colder with every breath he took, shadows rippling outward from his feet.“We’re surrounded,” I muttered, st

I thought the night would be spent without incident, peacefully, as it always should. Elysia was in my arms, warm and relaxed, her body pressed against mine. We slept in that timeless, serene way, until the sound came—unnatural, strange, slicing through the quiet like a scream from the past. My eyes snapped open, heart racing. It wasn't the usual sounds of the night. Not the wind rustling through the trees or the distant hoot of an owl. This was different—something far more sinister. It caught my attention immediately, and as I tried to focus on the source, I heard voices outside, growing louder, laced with panic. Elysia stirred beside me, half-awake, her fingers curling around me instinctively. She was still groggy, but the unease in the air seemed to drag her from sleep. I felt her body shift as she clung to me, her breath warm against my chest. “What is it?” she murmured, barely awake, but already sensing the shift in the atmosphere. I opened the window, the cold night air bitin

  • THE GAMMA'S DAUGHTER    Everything about her

Hades,The horses’ hooves echoed in the stillness of the night as we made our way toward the village. The forest around us seemed to watch, as if holding its breath. Elysia had been quiet for hours now, her usual confidence replaced with something softer, something I couldn't quite place.I turned my gaze to her, watching as her eyes scanned the path ahead, her back straight and poised. The way the moonlight caught her hair made her look ethereal, as if she didn’t belong to this world at all. After discovering our identity, we decided to shift to our original form except letting our Wolf roam freely. Otherwise the witches would spot us. I hated that she’d been forced into this situation. I hated that she’d taken parts of The Knowledge, to protect me. But I’d never been one to ask for explanations—not when the truth was hidden so far beneath the surface. The road wound toward the small village, nestled in the valley like some forgotten corner of the world. There was something quiet

This was unacceptable."We found no more traces of that woman. However—" Kaelan hesitated, pulling out a handkerchief from his robes —" We have found traces of abnormality in these ashes. It wasn’t a witch or wizard's flame."He opened the cloth in his palm and revealed a pile of fine, dark ashes. They were unremarkable at first glance, but the moment I stepped closer, I felt it. That strange hum in the air. The unsettling vibration that laced the magic left behind. My eyes widened. In a world ruled by witches and wizards, what kind of flame could reduce someone like Haris to ash in seconds?I reached out and took a pinch between my fingers. The moment the ashes touched my skin, a violent surge ran up my arm. It wasn't pain—it was a shock, a jolt of power so foreign and dark that my muscles r

  • THE GAMMA'S DAUGHTER    Discovering the identity.

My heart sank when the dark shadows shrouded the sky, surrounding us like a layer of thin black polythene. At first it felt like our soul had been deprived by something stronger, heavier and suffocating. But that feeling soon disappeared when Bryan's hand reached my shoulder. " Who are you?" He whispered, " It seems like you are their target. Are you running away from someone? Be honest with me if you want to stay alive!" He warned with a shiver-sending coldness. However I could feel the edge of the concern and genuine worry in his tone. My palms sweated as I grabbed the leather jacket that I was wearing. The night was cold and it was freezing my body. But the tension felt unbearably suffocating. " I...!"" If I am not wrong!" The person in the shadow, wearing a black robe and a book on his hand, cut my words... " You are Master Bryan from the front line Border area!" His voice was condescending. His eyes glistened with a distinct red flickering. A sharp light came out of the bo
