Mike was barely able to control himself any longer.

Mike's expression changed to one of smugness and arrogance, much like that of the robbers he had encountered, as soon as he entered the storage door.

"Now what? Oh my God! When everyone else is drinking and playing poker, why do I have to be back here? The third time this week!

A rogue speaking from one of the rooms said the words. He was lamenting the fact that he was supposed to be on guard duty near the storage entrance.

He turned his gun on Mike when he noticed his unfamiliar face.

Who in the world are you? He pressed.

"Hey, man, I'm with you! I was introduced to the group by Drey. I even received Tom's blessing!

With his hands in the air, Mike explained.

The thug seemed relieved when Mike mentioned the name of the captive and the group's leader. He still didn't put his gun down, though.

“Drey? Then exactly where is he?” He pressed.

“Oh. So you don't know about the mission of Drey and Tom? Mike asked him, his expression

He had not forgotten why he had joined the underworld game in the first place: to make enough money to pay for treatment for his genetic disease. However, he would need to become strong enough to do that. He could only get more money and good equipment in-game when he was strong enough, and when he had enough of those, he could trade them in for money in real life. He was now without anything. A lack of character traits, an empty inventory, and no skills or equipment. Even his rating was extremely low. He clearly did not yet meet the requirements. He would require additional time to become stronger. However, neither did he have nearly as much time. In real life, he only had about a year to live. But in the game itself? He didn't know exactly how much time he had, but from the virtual game time, it didn't look like he had much more time than in real life. the reason why he needed to make the most of every chance to grow stronger. Fortunately, it was not damaged.Mike was getting ready to leave, dagger in hand.He had no more reason to stay in the empty room.Mike's retreating steps accelerated as the sunlight slowly faded through the gap in the tightly sealed window. The criminals would come out at night.Because Mike didn't intend to confront a gang of criminals head-on, he wouldn't stay in this room that gave away his presence. At some point, any house would become a target for raiders."The sewers or drains would be a much better hiding spot!"Mike was contemplating his next move.It didn't have to be cozy; all that mattered was that it be big enough for him to hide. The underground seemed like the best option because

He was looking at his chest and the dagger that was deep inside him.The pursuer was unable to comprehend how a person who appeared to be harmless could suddenly turn into such a deadly killer, leading to his death. The same was true for Mike. He was totally perplexed. The stench of the dying man's blood brought back memories of what he had done as he stared at him.His senses were stimulated by the bright red blood as he looked at the very real-looking corpse. He was so sickened by the fact that he had killed the pursuer with his own hands that his stomach turned and he threw up.Mike finished his work and collapsed to the ground, exhausted and weak. His face was covered in snot and tears, making him appear silly and messy."Are you finished now?"He instinctively raised his head in response to the

  • THE DEVILS CASTLE   CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: INFILTRATION

The night was dead silent. Sixth Broadway was once a lively and merry area, but everything changed after the war. Everything was now ruined. Nevertheless, there were still a few taller structures that had survived the war and stood proudly among the wreckage. One of them was the mall. It had clearly seen better days as the city's largest mall. It no longer even had a proper roof on it. As if a meteor had broken through the structure, a large hole could be seen on its top. Still, during the war, it was a good place for people to hide. The only issue was that a group of armed criminals were living there. In the shadows, there were currently two security guards keeping an eye on the mall's vicinity by leaning against the walls. Their jobs made them both look bad. They were neither paying attention. This was not uncommon conduct. The fact that this was the base of the Vulture was known to every civilian and lackey in the area of Sixth. Everyone else had fled when the first person

“Aaaaaah!”The man who screamed was stabbed in the heart by Mike. The man's lips slightly moved as he passed away, but he did not say anything.Mike was icy and cruel. He had no intention of letting him go at all.Especially now that he was aware of the trade between the leader of the rebellion and the Vulture. He had been informed that the Vulture's associates were all evil.He now truly understood what those words meant. Also, Mike didn't think he was a good person. From a young age, he had struggled to survive, and he had encountered a lot of darkness in his life to the point where he could no longer tell the good from the bad. He did not, however, think of himself as a bad person. He was somewhere in the middle, and he refused to change. After taking a deep breath, Mike gathered his thoughts. That was not something to consider right now. He had to concentrate on the current situation.[Slashing: Inflicts 10 Damage to target HP, crippling target...][Slashing: Inflicts 10 Damage to

"Are you mentally ill?" Mike got a grunt from Colleen. He replied, "No."As if she thought he was crazy, Colleen's eyes widened."I am aware of what I am saying and what I want. I have to do this, even though I am aware that the Vulture's base will be closely guarded and dangerous. It's a fantastic chance!” In a serious tone, Mike said.“The Vulture pursued us with his men. He clearly does not want us to live, and he will send even more men after this failed attempt. He won't stop until he kills us, as you said. That scumbag will do anything to safeguard his ego and pride. It is preferable to show him our teeth than to flee like rats! Added Mike.He took a deep breath before continuing because he had become quite agitated."The next team that the Vulture sends won't be like the one we just killed," Because of what we did, they will be more watchful, making it harder for us to strike! Also, don't even consider setting them on fire. They will unquestionably be carrying larger guns and w
