Margarita checked the time on her apple watch as she stepped out in front of the clinic. Her belly churned, a sound that reminded her she had forgotten to eat anything since morning. It was already three, and the clinic was about to close on its dedicated time.

Precipitously, she strode towards the glass door to update Doctor Phoebe. As she entered, her eyes met with Kayla.

“Doctor is not here.” Before Margarita uttered a word, Kayla pointed her out with her remarks.

“How was your session?” Kayla smirked.

“Good,” Margarita replied in a low voice. She took out her phone and settled in front of the wheels of her Honda Accord.

“Hello, Doctor.”

“Margarita. How was your session? Did you assess the patient?”

Margarita sighed.

“I’m sorry to inform you, but it didn’t go well as expected. He seemed strange and didn’t want my help, but his friend begged me to...”

What was she trying to tell the doctor? She was assigned a job and failed to prove her worth.

“What do you expect from a patient? Som

It thudded the blissful evening at the beach with classic party songs where many youngsters came to enjoy their summer vacation. Padre Balli park beach is known for party people who love to drive on the beach. The music and the aromatic smell of BBQ would not allow you to go anywhere.Samson, along with his men, reached the place. “So what? She wants you to be her puppy?” Antonio growled, looking at the gang.“She didn’t know we came here. Capo wanted me to check on her.” Samson slicked his hair back and barred his peer with black glares.“We are supposed to be in Austin.” Antonio interrupted while they walked toward the crowd.Samson heaved a low breath and checked his well-polished gun before stuffing it into the back of the belt.“Did you tell your doctor I would like to take sessions in bed with her?” Samson smirked.“She is your doctor, have some respect.”“She is a woman. A need for a hot-blooded man, and that fits her description.”They reached close to the crowd where Samson p

After letting Sarah sleep on her bed, Samson returned to the living room. It’s not the first time he has been awake late at night; even after drinking and trying to drown his subconscious stressful memories, begging the universe to give him a piece of peaceful nap, he looked at the open sky.“Samson,” Antonio interrupted.“Why are you not sleeping?”“You know I can’t. My body wants to shut down, but my mind doesn’t stop working.” He painfully smiled.“I would suggest you...”Before Antonio’s suggestion finished, Samson raised his hand.“I need a heavy dose.”He went inside and took out the white powder to give himself a temporary relief from his haunted mind.“This is not the way, Samson. You are ruining your body and your health. For God’s sake, listen to me.” Antonio grabbed his hand, which he jerked immediately.Watching Samson drowning his senses under the influence of that poison, Antonio couldn’t think of anything else except that therapist. Sitting quietly on the couch, Margarita’s mind kept playing the same scene Samson lived with her. Just like her, he was in a state of denial where he was not ready to accept the pain he was cultivating inside. That moment looked easy for others, but she was scared when she announced those seven days in front of him.Samson promised he would not make it easy for her, and that was the part she kept thinking about nonstop. How was she going to handle everything? Her train of thoughts halted when her phone buzzed, showing Mateo’s name.“Hey, jellybean.”“Hey, brother.”“How was your day?”“Why are you not sleeping?”“I am out.” Mateo rolled his eyes.“Out? In the club? At four in the morning.”“You know you can talk to me.” She added.“Even if it is related to Laila.”Laila and Mateo had their strange chemistry going on. “Mr. Rufino. No, please.” She begged, but he winded the bat on his leg with a classy sound of breaking his kneecaps. He fell unconscious, which she calculated as his death and the last word begging his life from her.She was shivering badly and unable to breathe the left oxygen.“Let the day one begin, doctor.” Samson smiled. Her shivering, dainty figure looked back at the man who bore the pain of a metallic baseball bat on his knees. The shock delivered by this man resurfaced her wounds, making her live the exact moment she had scared her entire life. She looked at his face and saw Ethan’s face counting his last breath. The first thing her body reacted to was she went cold, and the only sign given to Samson was her warm tears scrolling down her cheeks, making the scene crisp from the memories. Samson crotched, thinking he scared the life out of her, but looking at her with no movements, he shook her.“Hey.”“Hey, doctor.” She reached a state of shock, where her body stopped reacting

Day 2Margarita rubbed her eyes when the sun peaked inside from her sheer curtains. She glanced at her phone and realized she had exactly forty-five minutes to get ready and reach her clinic, where someone would wait for her to take her to Samson’s farmhouse. Hastily she headed towards the bathroom to prepare herself, and for the first time, she felt an energy surge through her dead senses to accomplish something today. The previous day was harsh enough for her, but she handled it well with the presence of her mind.Once done with her morning routine, she prepared herself with a baby pink dress with a dive back design, enhancing her curves but protecting in the same way. She didn’t have the time to make a perfect bun and let her wavy hair strands compliment her face naturally. She remembered how she hated coloring her hair blond when she graduated back in Milan. It completely changed her look; now she knew how much she loved her light brown hair. She wore a white denim jacket to look

“Hello, Margarita.” She picked up her phone.“Yes, Kayla.”“I would like to inform you that our clinic is celebrating ten years of accomplishments, so everyone got the invitation to the party.”Margarita never liked to go to parties or socialize with people. She was punishing herself by leaving everything she loved the most. But getting a call from Kayla means it would be a professional gathering of interns and doctors rather than spoiled rich brats ready to get high.“Hello, Margarita.”“Yeah, I am here.”“I will send you the details in the mail.”“Sure.”“And how was your session? Any progress with that new patient?”“Nothing important. I will inform Doctor Phoebe regarding that.”They hung up the phone that pulled her back, at the moment, with Samson. He was not an easy-going person who would open up, and she was not experienced enough to crack this hard-core shell. She went to the kitchen with those thoughts to fill her belly with anything, but it turned out she forgot to fill the

Antonio saw Samson’s car entering the gateway. He excitedly walked to check on them, thinking about where Margarita had taken him for therapy. His feet came to rest when he saw Samson come out of the car sucking his cigarette, leaving Margarita back in the car. Antonio quietly walked towards Margarita, whose eyes followed that heartless man leaving her behind.“Is everything alright, doctor?” Antonio questioned.Margarita nodded silently, thinking, is it okay to follow him this time, or should she leave? Antonio’s eyes landed on her skin where Samson’s rugged grip imprinted, leaving black and blue marks on her flawless skin.“Did he hurt you?” There was a concern in his voice, and she could see he was familiar with his wild behavior.“It’s nothing.” she decided to follow Samson, trying her heart out to convince him he did the right thing by talking at Silviya’s grave.“Miss. Margarita looked out at the moon, standing next to the fountain. The breeze played with her long curls, emphasizing the coldness. She was not expecting her dad to reveal the situation like this. She heard the footsteps approaching in her direction, and she was not willing to talk to anyone right now. She rushed towards the garden, thinking she could hide. “Margarita,” a voice brushed in her ears, and the goosebumps started to crawl out from her skin. She didn’t turn because she knew she would look weak and vulnerable in front of Samson. Margarita’s fingers tightened around the edge of her dress, her knuckles turning white. She could sense Samson’s presence behind her, the weight of his gaze, the unspoken words that hung in the air between them. But she remained committed, determined to protect herself from the pain that had once shattered her world. “I know... I have never missed an opportunity to hurt you, but we both know how much...” Samson whispered close to her ear; she turned

Three of them went inside. Samson could feel the resilience aura coming his way from Mateo. His presence might have been accepted by the Italian don but by the brother of Margarita Costello. The room was filled with a tense silence as Decker’s sharp gaze fell on Samson, his expression unreadable. Mateo stood by, observing the interaction between the two men.“Samson,” Decker’s voice was steady, his tone devoid of any warmth.“How are you now?”“I am... better,” Decker gestured toward a chair, indicating for Samson to sit. As they settled around a table, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation.“Mateo, could you please call everyone? Our friend here came to have dinner with us,” Decker instructed, his eyes never leaving Samson.Mateo nodded and left the room, leaving Samson and Decker alone for a moment. The silence was tangible, and Samson could feel the weight of Decker’s scrutiny on him.The silence filled with the click of glass when Decker poured whiskey into two glasses and dr

Master’s cold eyes flickered with intense emotion. He leaned back in his chair, his fingers interlaced, and recounted his side of the story.“It all started when you shot Elijah, leaving him to die.” That sight was still crisp in Master’s mind, watching his son bathed in his own blood pool.Master’s voice was low and filled with bitterness. He paused for a moment, his gaze distant as he relived the memories of that fateful day. “Elijah’s condition only fueled my rage further. He was left paralyzed, and I couldn’t bear to see my son suffer like that.”“The pain of watching our son consumed my wife, and she chose to die by taking her life. I lost everything that day, and the pain consumed me because of you.” Master’s eyes didn’t flicker from Decker’s face.“I wanted revenge, and I wanted Decker to suffer as I had suffered. So, I searched for the worst criminals, those who would carry out my bidding without question. That’s when I found Vasco Ivankov and helped him establish the Spanish

In a quiet corner of the room, Adele and Elijah sat closely together. Both of them were old, and time had carved its marks on their faces, but their eyes held the same warmth and love that had bound them together for decades. Adele looked at Elijah with concern, her heart aching for the man she once loved deeply.“You look beautiful,” Elijah stammered.Adele smiled thinly and shook her head, withering away the worries about what was happening outside.“Is this because of the bullet in your spine?” Adele asked gently, her voice barely above a whisper.Elijah nodded slowly, his lips twisted in pain as he struggled to speak. “Yes,” he uttered. “I got punished for what I did.”Tears welled up in Adele’s eyes as she reached out and cupped Elijah’s hand in her own. “No, Elijah,” she said, her voice filled with emotion. “You didn’t deserve this. You were caught in the crossfire, and it was never your fault.”Elijah drooled, and Adele picked to wipe his face.“Is he handsome enough?” He chuck

He looked at the man who had once been his friend, his ally, but was now nothing more than a hindrance to his plans. “Your blood stains my patio, making it dirty,” he muttered, his voice cold and devoid of any remorse.“I thought your son was better than you, but these Costello bitches always win the men with their charm,” he greeted, his teeth watching over Elijah as he made his way to the patio.“Don’t look at me like this,” Master rolled his eyes, watching Elijah’s judgemental eyes.Capo’s phone started to buzz on the coffee table, displaying the name “Samson” on the screen, but Master didn’t bother to pick up. The room was shrouded in darkness, the heavy curtains drawn tightly shut, blocking any sliver of light from the outside world. The only source of illumination was a single dim lamp perched on the edge of the heavy wooden desk. Its soft glow created dancing shadows on the walls, adding to the eerie atmosphere of the room.Capo sat there, a solitary figure amidst the darkness, his face partially concealed by the shadows. The lamp cast a faint light on his troubled expression, revealing the lines of sorrow etched on his face. His eyes, filled with a mixture of grief and determination, remained fixed on a picture of his beloved son, Aslan, which lay on the desk before him, his handsome face smiling back at him, and tears welled up in his eyes.“I’m so sorry, my boy,” Capo whispered, his voice choked with emotion. “I never got the chance to tell you the truth.
