Josh lowered the window, and the soldiers' eyes scanned the interior of the car.
One of them approached my side, he knocked on the glass and I felt a col shiver ran through me.
''Lower your window,'' he barked with a firm and commanding voice.
I was scared, my heart racing with fear of the consequences of being discovered.
Would I drag me back to the Seven Tower Gate, that foreboding prison filled with vengeful wraiths? Hell no I really don't want to, I'm scared.
Lyrien brought his pack card showing he's from the Red Velvet Pack, and the soldiers demeanor changed in an instant. They saluted hastily with utmost respect.
''She's my mate," Lyrien explained, his voice calm and we'll said. ''We're coming from my father's burial. She's still in shock, that's why she's reacting like that"
The soldiers apologized profusely and clear road for us make us free to go. Lyrien's timely intervention saved me again
I breathed a sigh of relief as the tension dissipated, but my reprieve was short-lived. as I realized Tltomorrow as the full moon, and I knew I couldn't escape the curse that haunted me. I was scared of many souls that would be lost, and the sadden part is that I am the one that will be responsible for it.
I sat alone in the room, my body still shivering from the shock of the encounter with the soldiers, I remembered how scary it was, what if Lyrien hadn't intervene, what would have happened if my father caught me again? He placed a huge bounty on my head, I couldn't shake off the feeling of it that my father would surely come for me.
Lyrien knocked as he entered the room, he looked at my face. 'We need to talk,' he said in a low tone. ''is there something you're hiding". Why is Alpha Edgard searching for you? Why were you trapped in that scary prison.
I felt unease, unsure of if to reveal or not. But Lyrien's gentle prodding and how peaceful he felt to say it put me at ease. 'Perhaps you're a witch?' he ventured, every knows my father's merciless stance witches. I remained silent, unable to muster a response.
Lyrien's eyes looked away as he was about to leave, I feared he would surrender me to the authorities. "Are you going to turn me in?" I asked with tears streaming down my eyes.
Lyrien's expression softened, and he stepped closer.
"If I intended to do that, I wouldn't save you, remember I told you ever one supposed to be treated equally, be it human, werecoytes, banshee, healer or witch,we are one" His words were contained with conviction, and I believed him
"I'm a cursed wolf, my power is like a double-edged sword so extreme and powerful, yet wildly unpredictable. I can't control when I shifts, I always loose control and unleashing havoc on those around me. The memories of my past victims haunt me, every I closed my eyes,Every full moon, I'm consumed by a fury and always leave behind atrail of bloodshed." I said to him.
"That's why he locked you up? Listen to me, don't you dare call yourself a monster! You're just incredibly powerful, and you need to learn how to harness that power. I know what it's like to be born with a gift that's both a blessing and a curse. I was born with extreme power, surpassing even the Alpha's strength from birth. My first shift was a disaster, and I was banished from my pack since that very night."
Lyrien's voice was filled with sorrow as I could felt it, his eyes reflecting the pain of his past.
"But I learned to control my power, and I can help you do the same. You're not a monster, you're just someone extraordinary and gifted.''
Lyrien's expression turned solemn, his eyes filled with a deep understanding. "I know what it's like to be a prisoner of your own power," he said, his voice low and gentle. "But I also know that you don't have to be a slave to your power I can help you learn and practice to control your power, to harness it for good."
I looked at him skeptically, I was getting more drawn to him as I believe his words
He put his hands in mine and said, "Trust me, mate."
This was the first time that he recognized me as his mate. Though he said that to save me from the soldiers, I knew he's just lying at that time. Though I knew it the first time we met, I never said that to him, neither did he. His voice was like the best balm, soothing and touching, making me believe in him and giving me hope.
"You know how grateful I was when I knew that the Moon Goddess endowed me with such a beautiful and powerful mate? You know how hard it was to pretend I had no idea of that?" Lyrien whispered into my ears.
His voice word made me blush. I cupped my burning cheeks and looked up at him, only to meet his inviting gaze with burning desires.
I felt my heart skip a beat and I sensed desire and danger. My instinct told me to run. Just as I averted my gaze and took a step back to get away from the itches running through my body because of his voice and touches, he got hold of my waist with both hands and lifted me up.
"Lyrien..." I screamed out of panic and clung to his neck tightly.
He chuckled and laid me on the desk, squeezing his body between my legs and looking up at me. "I, Lyrien, accept Aria as my mate."
My gaze met his and I could not say no. "I, Aria, accept Lyrien as my mate."
As the words escaped my mouth, his kisses landed on my lips. It was my first kiss, but it felt like I had been waiting a lifetime for this moment.
Oh mine, he's so passionate. His tongue slipped into my mouth and danced with mine. I felt like I was in heaven but soon out of breath.
Luckily, Lyrien let me go. His kiss ran all the way through my lips to my jaw, to my ears, and finally to my neck.
"I'm going to mark you. It's going to be painful but don't worry. I'm here." Lyrien whispered and I nodded.
Instantly, I felt his teeth pierce through my skin, and a seizing pain swept through my body.
"Um~" But the pain made me more excited. I panted and desired more.
This was especially true when I felt his right hand get into my dress. It cupped my breasts, squeezing them and making me moan.
I wanted to stop him, but I couldn't. The feeling was weird, but I seemed like this. In fact, I wanted more.
"You're killing me." Lyrien said.
the world around us melted away, we felt the presence of just two of us , i lost in the enjoyment of our kisses. The kiss was soft and gentle, yet passionate and intense, leaving me feeling like I was floating on air. I had never imagined that a kiss could be so powerful, I was consumed. I was falling in love with him more.we pulled back again, gasping for air, Lyrien's eyes locked onto mine, and I saw the same spark of passion and excitement reflected back at me.I felt the warmth of Lyrien's lips against mine. His lips were soft, gentle, yet passionate. His hands traced my body, tracing a path of fire along my hair, down my neck, and lingering on my waist. I was feeling my skin tingle at his touch. His hand gently cupped my rear, I couldn't suppress the soft moan that escaped my lips.He scooped me into his arms and placed me on the nearby table, clearing it of any obstacles that might hinder our intimate moment. Suddenly, we were surrounded by a ring of werewolves fully armed, their eyes were glowing in the dark. They had set up a powder barrier the wolvesbane, it was weakening Lyrien powers and made him weak. I recognized the uniform wore by them, it is the same those men wore that night when I was captured by my father. Thy began shooting at our room, I was traumatized with the bullets piercing the nearly hit my bodies. Lyrien suddenly guarded me with his body, his eyes were so full of determination. he shown that he is ready to protect me even with his life on track.Suddenly the shooting seized, we didn't heard any sign of movement again, we first thought they had left, then we suddenly heard the sound of something thrown inside, it was another powder, this one is even more potent than the first. I felt my strength waning, as my body were weakening. Lyrien tried hard to get me composed but he was also affected by the powerful potion. Then we heard the sudden barging of the werewolves in
"Make yourselves comfortable, everyone," Erin said, he sit down on his throne-like chair "We'll wait for the full moon together." The atmosphere was tense, his men held my father captives. I could still feel see the sense of fear in people standing, they are afraid of what I might do, but they all want to witness if the tale is true or not. I was tied there totally exhausted, I never want all this that is happening, then suddenly the full moon was rising, and with it I could feel my powers has started growing stronger. Would I still kill everyone again?, I should have stayed back in the dark seven tower gate, maybe all this wouldn't have happened. As the full moon rose high in the sky, I felt my body begin to transform, my senses were intensifying, I could felt my strength multiplying as well. The pain I felt from been tied was nothing compared to the power coursing through my veins. The storm raged on and its fury mirroring the turmoil inside me My body began to grow tall, my limbs
The silence was so oppressive, we all felt a physical force that that keep us all on ground. I couldn't control my heart as it continue pounding heavily in my chest, the sound from their steps echoing in my mind like a drumbeat. The witches moved so closer to me, their veils rustling softly, As they reached at my side one of them raised a hand, she pointed ber finger towards me."Aria," she said, her voice felt like a sigh. "You have been chosen."I felt scared as they moved closer to me, their eyes were so fixed on me with an unnerving intensity."What.... do you want from me?" I asked, my voice were breakingThe leader from the witch grasped my arm, her grip was like an ice. "We are taking you away, Aria. The Goddess has requested for you."And with that, they carried me away, none of those sitting even my father could sense while I was dragging away. I was dragged into a darkness so complete, it was as if the very light itself had been extinguished. I was at the hand of the gh
Aria's PovI saw Lyrien's eyes, but they weren't welcoming. They were filled with rage and anger, a burning intensity that made my heart skip a beat. I tried to speak, to ask him what he was doing, but before I could even form the words, I heard the sound of a gun firing.I felt a searing pain as the bullet penetrated my chest, and I fell to the floor, my vision blurring. As I looked up, I saw the smile of an old woman, the same woman from my dreams. But this time, her smile was not benevolent. It was a mockery, a twisted grin that filled me with horror."Didn't I tell you, child?" the woman's voice echoed in my mind. "Didn't I tell you that no one would ever truly accept you? You're a witch, Aria. And witches are always alone."I tried to speak, to defend myself, but my voice was barely a whisper. The woman's laughter grew louder, a cackling sound that filled my ears and made my blood run cold.As the darkness consumed me, I saw Lyrien leaving, his back turned to me without a glance.
Lyrien eyes flashing red as he coughed out the wolvesbane's poison. Aria's face contorted in worry, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Lyrien, no! Oh, please...".Lyrien's gaze locked onto hers, his voice was weak but still reassuring. "Aria, I'm...I'm okay. Are you alright?", he still sounded worried for Aria.Aria's expression turned incredulous. "Me? You're the one who's...who's dying! How can you ask if I'm okay?"Lyrien's chuckle was faint, but it still held a hint of his usual arrogance. "Have you forgotten who I am, Aria? My power surpasses even the Alpha's. A mere wolvesbane can't affect my inner wolf."Aria's lips curled into a small smile, despite her tears. "You're still proud, even now."Lyrien's gaze softened. "Is the chain draining your energy again?"Aria nodded, with her voice which is barely above a whisper. "Your lost consciousness drained my life away more than the Seven Tower Chain ever could."With newfound determination, Lyrien tried to rise, his movements were sh
Aria's voice suddenly cut through the air, it shattered the tense silence. "Everybody should stop!" she exclaimed, her words was hanging in the air like a challenge. The room fell silent, all eyes fixed on her in awe. With a resolute gaze, Aria continued, "There shouldn't be a war because of me. I'm willing to surrender myself." The statement sent shockwaves through the assembly.Lord Edgard, her father, stepped forward, his face was etched with concern. "Aria, what are you doing? This is madness!"Lyrien, his eyes was blazing with fury, he unsheathed his claws. "No one takes her without going through me first!" he growled, his voice low and menacing.Despite the chains which were binding her, Aria stood tall, her eyes still locked on Lyrien. Tears streamed down on her face as she spoke, her voice were trembling. "I'm sorry, Lyrien. I never meant to be a burden to you. I'm been greedy because I've never felt love like this before. In death, I'll never forget our love."Lyrien's expre
As they sped towards the burstling city of Beachon, Lyrien's face were contorted in pain. He coughed out in pain, and Aria's eyes suddenly widened in horror as he lifted his hand up, revealing a crimson stain spreading across his shirt."Blood!" "I...I didn't want to worry you," he gasped.Aria's gaze locked onto the driver at the front. "Faster! Please, you have to hurry! He's been shot, we need to get him to a hospital, now!"The driver's eyes flicked to the rearview mirror, his expression grim. "Hold on there my Alpha, I'll get you there as fast as I can."Aria's voice rose to a frantic pitch. "Faster! Please, don't do this to me! please Lyrien, stay with me, please!"Lyrien's eyes fluttered, his voice barely audible. "Aria...I'm sorry..."Aria's screams fill in the car, her world was unraveling as she begged the
