Josh lowered the window, and the soldiers' eyes scanned the interior of the car.

One of them approached my side, he knocked on the glass and I felt a col shiver ran through me.

''Lower your window,'' he barked with a firm and commanding voice.

I was scared, my heart racing with fear of the consequences of being discovered.

Would I drag me back to the Seven Tower Gate, that foreboding prison filled with vengeful wraiths? Hell no I really don't want to, I'm scared.

Lyrien brought his pack card showing he's from the Red Velvet Pack, and the soldiers demeanor changed in an instant. They saluted hastily with utmost respect.

''She's my mate," Lyrien explained, his voice calm and we'll said. ''We're coming from my father's burial. She's still in shock, that's why she's reacting like that"

The soldiers apologized profusely and clear road for us make us free to go. Lyrien's timely intervention saved me again

I breathed a sigh of relief as the tension dissipated, but my reprieve was short-lived. as I realized Tltomorrow as the full moon, and I knew I couldn't escape the curse that haunted me. I was scared of many souls that would be lost, and the sadden part is that I am the one that will be responsible for it.

I sat alone in the room, my body still shivering from the shock of the encounter with the soldiers, I remembered how scary it was, what if Lyrien hadn't intervene, what would have happened if my father caught me again? He placed a huge bounty on my head, I couldn't shake off the feeling of it that my father would surely come for me.

Lyrien knocked as he entered the room, he looked at my face. 'We need to talk,' he said in a low tone. ''is there something you're hiding". Why is Alpha Edgard searching for you? Why were you trapped in that scary prison.

I felt unease, unsure of if to reveal or not. But Lyrien's gentle prodding and how peaceful he felt to say it put me at ease. 'Perhaps you're a witch?' he ventured, every knows my father's merciless stance witches. I remained silent, unable to muster a response.

Lyrien's eyes looked away as he was about to leave, I feared he would surrender me to the authorities. "Are you going to turn me in?" I asked with tears streaming down my eyes.

Lyrien's expression softened, and he stepped closer.

"If I intended to do that, I wouldn't save you, remember I told you ever one supposed to be treated equally, be it human, werecoytes, banshee, healer or witch,we are one" His words were contained with conviction, and I believed him

"I'm a cursed wolf, my power is like a double-edged sword so extreme and powerful, yet wildly unpredictable. I can't control when I shifts, I always loose control and unleashing havoc on those around me. The memories of my past victims haunt me, every I closed my eyes,Every full moon, I'm consumed by a fury and always leave behind atrail of bloodshed." I said to him.

"That's why he locked you up? Listen to me, don't you dare call yourself a monster! You're just incredibly powerful, and you need to learn how to harness that power. I know what it's like to be born with a gift that's both a blessing and a curse. I was born with extreme power, surpassing even the Alpha's strength from birth. My first shift was a disaster, and I was banished from my pack since that very night."

Lyrien's voice was filled with sorrow as I could felt it, his eyes reflecting the pain of his past.

"But I learned to control my power, and I can help you do the same. You're not a monster, you're just someone extraordinary and gifted.''

Lyrien's expression turned solemn, his eyes filled with a deep understanding. "I know what it's like to be a prisoner of your own power," he said, his voice low and gentle. "But I also know that you don't have to be a slave to your power I can help you learn and practice to control your power, to harness it for good."

I looked at him skeptically, I was getting more drawn to him as I believe his words

He put his hands in mine and said, "Trust me, mate."

This was the first time that he recognized me as his mate. Though he said that to save me from the soldiers, I knew he's just lying at that time. Though I knew it the first time we met, I never said that to him, neither did he. His voice was like the best balm, soothing and touching, making me believe in him and giving me hope.

"You know how grateful I was when I knew that the Moon Goddess endowed me with such a beautiful and powerful mate? You know how hard it was to pretend I had no idea of that?" Lyrien whispered into my ears.

His voice word made me blush. I cupped my burning cheeks and looked up at him, only to meet his inviting gaze with burning desires.

I felt my heart skip a beat and I sensed desire and danger. My instinct told me to run. Just as I averted my gaze and took a step back to get away from the itches running through my body because of his voice and touches, he got hold of my waist with both hands and lifted me up.

"Lyrien..." I screamed out of panic and clung to his neck tightly.

He chuckled and laid me on the desk, squeezing his body between my legs and looking up at me. "I, Lyrien, accept Aria as my mate."

My gaze met his and I could not say no. "I, Aria, accept Lyrien as my mate."

As the words escaped my mouth, his kisses landed on my lips. It was my first kiss, but it felt like I had been waiting a lifetime for this moment.

Oh mine, he's so passionate. His tongue slipped into my mouth and danced with mine. I felt like I was in heaven but soon out of breath.

Luckily, Lyrien let me go. His kiss ran all the way through my lips to my jaw, to my ears, and finally to my neck.

"I'm going to mark you. It's going to be painful but don't worry. I'm here." Lyrien whispered and I nodded.

Instantly, I felt his teeth pierce through my skin, and a seizing pain swept through my body.

"Um~" But the pain made me more excited. I panted and desired more.

This was especially true when I felt his right hand get into my dress. It cupped my breasts, squeezing them and making me moan.

I wanted to stop him, but I couldn't. The feeling was weird, but I seemed like this. In fact, I wanted more.

"You're killing me." Lyrien said.
