At the hospital General where Maria Fernanda had been taken, Elijah was in the waiting room with his head between his legs, remembering what had just happened. He didn’t want to know anything about Stefan and all the things that had just happened. Also, he wasn’t sure if Maria Fernanda knew the truth that Adamaris had confessed to him. Elijah did have no idea about that. How come Eliza and Isela could be sisters? In which moment all of that happened? No one involved there had the strength to accept that truth. Was it possible that Mr. de la Fuente knew that all along and was the reason why he helped with the revenge against Stefan? Mr. de la Fuente was also a bad person who used Maria Fernanda.

Suddenly, the voice of Adamaris called his attention. He raised his head, and there she was. But she wasn’t alone. Elijah had been clear enough when he said he wanted Adamaris there alone because Mr. de la Fuente couldn’t know anything.

When Elijah got to the room Mr. de la Fuente was using, he could see through the door that was slightly opened a different side of Adamaris, maybe the most vulnerable one. That was exactly what he thought when he went behind her and found her in the hands of that stranger who just wanted to take advantage of her. Too late he was realizing the fact of not having a family by her side also caused pain.Alone in that room, by Mr. de la Fuente’s side, she could be vulnerable. With the hand of Arturo between hers, her head relying on her hands and sobbing, Elijah could see she was suffering for Mr. de la Fuente. She was worried, she was praying for his health, and was taking care of him as Maria Fernanda hadn’t had the time to.“Please, Mr. de la Fuente… Please, you have to stay with your granddaughter

Radiant lights in a sky that only seemed to be made for her. The sun's rays could not shine any brighter for her as it was the happiest day of her life. Finally, after so much, having traveled that path of roses and thorns, dawn was breaking. Strong and clear rays of light. “You look beautiful, Miss Elisa!” said one of the women who served her. The white dress together with the veil fell like a beautiful white wave over her. The day of her life had arrived. And in less time than she thought, she was going to become Mrs. de la Barrera. “We should leave now, Miss Elisa, the groom should already be waiting for you at the altar.” Pressed the same maid. “I am nervous, I am very nervous, Maria.” “You don't have to be, Miss Elisa, everything is going to be fine, Mr. de la Barrera is very much in love with you, nothing has to go wrong.” Elisa finally sighed. It was true, the man who would be her husband was so in love with her that nothing could go wrong because even if they had a single

And for every minute that passed, every meter that the car moved forward, Isela felt farther away from her destination. She had to find her husband before the police did. “Pick up, pick up, Enrique!” Isela said, putting up her cell phone. The truth was that she didn't know where in the whole country she was going to find him. Her husband could not go to jail. Then suddenly she remembered. Enrique had talked many times about going to a warehouse outside the city to do some kind of business. He must be there so, speeding up a little more, she drove on, not knowing that the police were already on their way too, having tracked the cell phone of one of the thieves. Above all things he was her husband no matter what evil he had done. In one of the most luxurious houses that could belong to the Barrera family, more than 500 guests were waiting to see the bride arrive. And among them Stefan was the most nervous, not because he was getting married, but because his wife had taken too long,

Walking from one place to the next, not knowing what to do, Enrique was holding his head over and over again. Everything had become complicated in a second, they only hoped that the woman was really dead because if not, she was going to say who were the people who kidnapped her and shot her. Enrique had to leave the country, but what about his wife? Poor Isela, he had to go to the house and leave together, maybe in time he would explain to her what happened. “What do we do, boss?” asked one of the men who had helped with everything. “We have to go anywhere and not be anywhere near where it all happened.” “What about the necklace?” “When I sell it myself, I'll give them your share. Now get out. I'll get my wife and we'll leave together, I swear I'll be back to give you your share.” “I think it's too late for that, sir," said the third man. “What are you talking about?” “The police have arrested your wife.” “What? What on earth are you talking about? “Seems like your wife arriv

TWO MONTHS LATER Seconds, minutes, hours, hours that made up days, days that were never going to return. The tears were gone from her, her soul seemed to be drying up as time went by. As the days went by, as the hatred grew in her heart, Isela realized only one thing. She had married in love, she was willing to do anything for him, she was even willing to blame herself for everything that had happened only to have in her mind the name of two people who had hurt her. Stefan de la Barrera, who had accused her of murder by paying a lot of money and her husband, Enrique, who left her to her fate and not enough with that, he accused her of something she would never have dared to do. It was too soon to think about the day it would all be over. It was too early to think about that morning and yet, she already had only one plan. “In eight years my sentence is up," she said to the lawyer in front of her. Now Antonio knew that Stefan de la Barrera, the most powerful man in that country, own

Slowly she began to study her enemy and all that she was going to do so that she could get close to him. She had never seen his face before but it was already said that he was a very handsome and intelligent man. It was only by photos that she learned about him, his family, his every move, she even learned by heart his routine, the same one he had given in his interviews. Days, months, years that went that way, the lawyer for his part doing everything so that she could change everything she was, starting with her name. Eight years that were soon reduced to five. FIVE YEARS LATER “Inmate Isela Velar, having served her sentence reduced to five years for good behavior, is now free.” And just like that, the prison doors were opened only for her, who carried a suitcase in hand, ready to take on a new life as she had promised her lawyer and her best friend Adamaris, who in less than four months would also be released from prison. A smile came to her face the moment she saw the sunlight

She was no longer afraid of him, she knew how he acted and what he was capable of, that was the reason that being with him was the same as being in hell, where she’d lived for the last 6 years. The bandages around her wrists were all stained with blood, she was bleeding out and didn’t care. Enrique had brought her there just for one reason: it was time to end with what he started but never had the time to finish. Isela was that woman who was going to open any door to the world of power. But the most important, why was she going behind him? It was like someone had abducted her, and had prevented her from being with Stefan. Many things started to flow in his mind. The car continued running through the highway that was going to lead him to where her car was. Stefan’s people were already there together with police. Finally, his car stopped as soon as he saw many people gathered around the car.“Hey, Mr. de la Barrera?” The officer asked.“Yes, I am.”“Glad to meet you.” The man tried to be respectful towards him. He had heard many stories about the great Stefan de la Barrera when all Stefan wanted was to know what they’d found until now. “I’m officer Gonzalez.”“Yes, glad to meet you too. Where is she?” “Ammm, we’re still investigating, but the scene, the way the car is parked i

He was scared, he was afraid that the woman in his arms was already dead.“Help! Please, help!” The man cried out.Nurses and doctors turned around in sync. In front of them there was a man with his gray sweater already stained with blood. The woman in his arms was completely unconscious. Doctors and nurses went directly to him while another nurse approached with a gurney.“What happened?” A doctor received her.“It was a mistake! I swear it was a mistake! I didn’t see her crossing the… the… I’m sorry!” The man felt really guilty. He was already crying.“Okay, please, contact her family.” One of the nurses asked while Maria Fernanda was taken with them, who were already assisting her with oxygen and intravenous drip. The man sat down on one of the old benches with his head falling through his legs. He was so pitiful. He felt so bad. It was his intention. Of course

With her heart broken, tears in her eyes and thinking everything was a lie: Elijah had used her just to satisfy his own revenge because Eliza ended up being his cousin. Maria Fernanda just wanted to end it. She wanted to end what she had started just by her thoughts, thoughts that came true. Everyone had lied to her. Elijah and her grandfather had lied to her. How come? She was supposed to be his granddaughter, the only person he had in his life. So, Stefan and she were just victims?Running through the avenue, without caring about the sound of the cars, Maria Fernanda crossed, looking for a taxi that could take her to where her grandfather was. On her way, she tried to contact Adamaris, but nothing. She didn’t pick up her calls. Maria Fernanda was suffering. That reminded her when she was told that if she wanted to get revenge, she should dig two graves, but never thought the first grave was going to be for herself, so it was her decision to drag Stefan to the second grave or let him

Suddenly, Maria Fernanda felt a little weak, the story Alona was telling her was so much for her. Even she could feel the pain of Alona.“Miss., do you feel okay?” Alona asked.“Yeah, yeah, please, go on.”Alona looked at her and then Alona continued her story. “I felt like something was strange. Antonio had never been that kind of man, he knew I couldn’t get worried because of our baby, he was aware of that, but suddenly, he forgot it. I tried to contact him until the ring door rang. Two men in gray suits were standing right there, they gave me the name of Antonio, his whole name, they told me Antonio had to go to another country because of the trail, the celebration of some trial, I still don’t understand. They said he tried to contact me but his cell phone didn’t work. I know, I know it sounds strange, but I didn’t care about that. I was afraid that Antonio wasn’t okay. I decided to travel since the trial of the person Antonio was standing up for was going to take some time. It was
