Emma's POV

"Little one, please tell Mommy not to be too upset with Daddy. Daddy is just a bit busy with work right now. But I promise, if Mommy gives me a smile, I'll fulfill all her wishes for today."

His words stirred a flicker of hope within me. Perhaps I could use these wishes to my advantage and uncover the truth today. A plan began to form in my mind, as I decided to go along with the flow.

I managed a small smile, masking my true feelings and intentions. "Alright, Alexander. I'll give you a smile."

His face lit up, a mixture of relief and affection shining in his eyes. "Thank you, Emma. I'll do everything I can to make you happy."

We continued having our breakfast in a comfortable silence, each lost in our own thoughts. My mind, however, was consumed with the plan I had devised. Today would be the day I would have to trick him into giving me his password and then I can have access to his files once more.
