"Do you know what it feels like to know that all the decisions that you've ever taken in your life are masterminded by someone?" Eleanor Welsh is an intelligent, independent girl who always wanted her life to be in her control since the tragic fatal accident that claimed her parents' lives at twelve. Being an orphan at a such tender age, her father's best friend, Antonio Welsh, took her into his custody but sold her off to a contracted marriage later on to a heartless billionaire, Ethan Grayson, in dire need to save his business from bankruptcy. What happens when the mysteries of her parent's death unfold with her protective husband backing her up? Ethan walked into the dark room unhurriedly with both hands in the pockets of his pants. He was furious, yet he had his usually calm expression. He walked to the fireplace in the room which was the only source of light in the room and pulled out a hot metal. From the way the metal glowed in a dark-red crimson color, even a fool can tell that the metal had been in the fire for hours. Walking to where a man who was chained to the wall with blood all over his body was with the metal still in his hands, Ethan stood before the man, his eyes black from the lack of light in the room. "Mr. Grayson, please..." the man pleaded in almost a whisper "I didn't know she was your wife." Before anybody in the room could blink, the hot metal was placed on the man's face. The man screamed in pain as hot tears fell from his eyes, before fainting. "Take him to his boss as my gift. Anyone that touches my property, I will burn him in hell." Max nodded.

FIRST ENCOUNTER I

"I want to speak to your manager!" the uproar of Janet's voice attracted the eyes of other diners at the restaurant to Eleanor who happened to be the unfortunate waitress in service to the furious client. Eleanor's face flushed red in embarrassment as her eyes darted sideways to the onlookers. "There's no need to create a scene, miss Janet, your meal was served just as requested." Her calm words came in almost a whisper, as her eyes came in contact with the furious girl's. These were one of the moments where she hated her job- the part where she had to condone some uncivilized attitude from clients, yet this was inevitable. The loud thud on the table had Eleanor's brow crumble in slight agitation, and she took a few steps away from irritated Janet who stood to her feet, "Are you deaf? I said I demand an audience with your manager!" Her frantic eyes peered directly into Eleanor's. Pushing her seat further away from the table, Janet took two steps forward, so that she was standing ...

FIRST ENCOUNTER II
The duo walked to his office in absolute silence with him leading the way and Eleanor behind him and they got in after he opened the door. Eleanor stopped in the middle of the room and watched him keenly as he walked to his desk in the room while biting her cheeks inwardly. "What was that all about?" His calm words echoed in the room, but she was no fool to hear the anger in them. "I'm sorry, I lost my self-control in there," she watched his reactions carefully, "and for creating a scene tonight. I couldn't condone her arrogance anymore." Adrian leaned in on his desk with his back, facing her as he folded his arms to his chest. His beautiful slender green eyes directly peered into hers, and his face remained indifferent. "That was so not professional of you. You know the rules, the interests of the customers come first." Eleanor frowned slightly at his words which brought discomfort to her ears. "I'm not gonna apologize for not kissing her ass, Adrian." "And I'm not gonna congra

FIRST ENCOUNTER III
"I'm looking forward to working with you Mr. Grayson," an average-looking man in a black suit stood to his feet and stretched his hands towards Ethan. Ethan also stood to his feet, looking into the eyes of the man who stood before him, before receiving his pale hand for a successful deal. "Same." His nonchalant eyes narrowed on the man's face before he pulled his hand away from the man's grip. Turning away from the man as he pushed his seat backward, a man who stood beside him followed him out of the restaurant. Max, Ethan's PA followed quietly behind him as he walked out of the restaurant, making sure to keep a close distance from him. As they stood at the entrance of the building, Max's gaze never left Ethan's nonchalant face, whose attention was on a black Bugatti la Voit URE Noire that drove towards them with convoys behind it. The car stopped in front of them, and a doorman came out of the driver's seat and walked to where they stood. "Have a safe trip, Sir," the man bowed

NIGHTMARE I
Ethan spared Eleanor a glance, once, before turning back to his door which he opened and got in. As he walked inside the room, the entire place lit up without him having to touch anything. The mini penthouse suite was designed in the most exquisite way to suit his taste, and all the furniture was mostly in black, except for the twilight fog carpet which was placed at the center of the room, and the twilight fog tv console close to a wall. Ethan removed his suit, dropped it on the couch, and loosened his necktie before walking to the counter to his right. Letting out a soft sigh, he brought out an Isabella Islay whiskey from the cellar with a cup, and added some ice inside the cup, before pouring the drink. He gulped everything down in one go. With the bottle of the drink and the cup still in his hands, Ethan walked to the couch in the room and placed them on the table. Pouring more drink into his cup, he took another sip as he leaned back on the couch, resting his free hand on

NIGHTMARE II
AUTHOR'S NOTE: There will be a daily update of at least two chapters daily. Thank you for reading my masterpiece. ENJOY! Eleanor turned restlessly on her bed with droplets of sweat all over her face. Her hands gripped the sides of her mattress tightly as she lay on her back, with distress written all over her face. She was having the nightmare again. She sat in the backseat of a car with two people at the front; one handling the wheel, and the other in the passenger's seat. She couldn't see their faces but they had the voices of a man and a woman. They looked like a couple, a really happy one, who was so in love... She could tell from their continuous laughter which echoed in the car. Her eyes darted at them both, before coming back to her hands which looked smaller than usual, confused. She raised it to her face to get a better look but got distracted as her attention was suddenly pulled to the couple. Her confusion wearied off and was replaced with anxiety when she suddenly h

NIGHTMARE III
"It's not nice to sneak up on a woman,Adrian. Has anyone ever told you that?" Eleanor frowned slightly, looking into his eyes."Did I startle you? I'm sorry for sneaking up on you.""That's okay." She headed toward the elevator, and Adrian followed her."I'm a little surprised you know, 'cause today's a Saturday and you seem to have an early appointment which is unlike you.""I have something to take care of now, I'll tell you about it later. I don't think we have time to talk right here." Her eyes darted back to Ethan's door, hoping not to run into him anymore.Adrian nodded.Eleanor pressed the button of the elevator, and as they both waited for the door to open, her eyes went back to Ethan's room door, before suddenly coming back to Adrian's face suspiciously, as if hit by realization.Noticing her stare, Adrian raised a brow, "what?""Why are you here so early?""Oh! I almost forgot. I wanted to inform you in person that Dad's in the country and he wants to have lunch with you th

RECONCILIATION I
A black car stopped in front of a penthouse and the chauffeur opened the door for Eleanor. She stepped out and walked toward the entrance of the building. When she got to the door, it was opened for her, and as she stepped in, a huge man approached her."Miss Eleanor, Miss Lisa has been waiting for your arrival. Please follow me." Eleanor followed quietly as they walked through the stairs to the room where Lisa was waiting for her. When they got to the room door, the man opened the door for her and they both got in."You're finally here," a beautiful lady in a white dress approached them and hugged Eleanor. Releasing Eleanor from her embrace, her eyes peeked at the man behind her, "You may leave us, Finn."He bowed and left the room.Still holding El's hand in hers, she asked, "how have you been? It's been a long time since I saw this beautiful face."Eleanor grinned. "I've been fine, Liz. It feels good knowing that you care so much about me."A side of Lisa's lips curved. "Do you

RECONCILIATION II
Eleanor took deep silent breaths, watching every reaction of the man who stood in front of her. He had grown older from the way she remembered and had changed his hairstyle, but that didn't make him any less handsome. He still had his charms and still emitted that calm aura he always had. She didn't realize how much she missed him until now she's seeing him in person. She walked into the room and the man who opened the door for her bowed before leaving the room. As the door closed behind her, she walked toward the man opening his hands in front of her for a hug, and she embraced him."Dad," she called out still in his embrace as she kept wishing she wasn't dreaming. This was too good to be a dream and even if she was dreaming, she don't want to wake up. She couldn't remember the last time she had hugged him like this. She had left their house in London, England when she turned 18 because of her adopted mother's death - Mrs. Doris due to a re-occurrence of acute myeloid leukemia whic
