"Hey, it's alright. Don't overthink." I said to Evangeline who had been stressed since we walked out of the restaurant after our tensed dinner with Brandon and Emma.

Evangeline hadn't eaten properly. So, I parked the car outside another diner and brought her favorite Chinese takeout.

"Freya." I touched her softly.

"Umm yeah.."She jerked out of her trance and looked in my direction.

"Your food. Please don't tell me that you're not hungry because I won't buy your excuse. Come on, eat before it gets cold." I spread my handkerchief on her lap and placed the packet.

A weak smile appeared on her lips as she took the fork from my hands and swirled it in the noodles.

"Thanks for the treat." She said and took first bite. The satisfaction on her face made me feel elated.

"This is really good." She said after taking few more bites.

"I always take you to the best places I know." I said.

"You also haven't touched the food. Please have some with me." She forwarded her fork near my mouth.
