"What were you saying, son? Can you repeat it for your old father's ears?" Francis's vicious voice echoed in the walls of the living room of the house.

I balled my fists. He had my daughter on a knife's point. What a coward? He used a little child to shield himself.

"You heard me right, Francis. Leave her and fight me like a man." I challenged him and in response, I heard his laughter resonating in the air.

"I am fighting you like a man but with my mind, son. I wish you could learn from me but you took after your pathetic mother who turned you into a chicken. I wanted a son who follow my steps but you only brought shame upon me." His smile turned into a hard look as he glance down at me with disgust.

"You're a monster, Francis. I can never follow you. In fact, you're long dead to me." I spatted under gritted teeth.
