Chapter 104: Losing Everything He Formerly Possessed

Despite the setback, Charlie Sr remained calm. "I understand. Can you at least tell me how my son is doing?"

The chief security guard hesitated for a moment before responding. "I don't have that information, sir. But I can assure you that he is in good hands."

Charlie Sr expressed his trust in the people responsible for his son's care with a nod. He then turned to Margret and gave her hand a reassuring squeeze, saying, "We'll get through this together. Let's go home."

Margret nodded, acknowledging that they were on the same page. They got into Charlie Sr's car and drove away.

As Charlie Sr arrived at his mansion, he found the gate tightly locked with two armed guards stationed at it. He got out of the car and approached the guards with a frown, not recognizing either of them.

"Who are you?" he asked, his tone cold and suspicious.

"Sir Charlie Sr, your grandmother has instructed us to prevent you from entering the mansion," one of the guards replied.
