Chapter 110: Margret Escaped 

Hill gave a swift command, "Fire!" In response, his men opened fire at the gate, causing Charlie Sr. to release his grip and fall onto the ground. Charlie Sr. covered his ears as a barrage of gunshots bombarded the gate.

Suddenly, Hill's voice rang out, "Stop! Stop!" The gunfire ceased, and Charlie Sr. stayed on the ground, listening to the sound of the wind howling.

As thunder rumbled and lightning flashed in the sky, Charlie Sr. clenched his fist and rose to his feet. The rain began to pour down on him, but he remained standing in the downpour.

He walked towards the gate, grabbed the bars, and called out, "Margret!"

Margret Owen's eyes welled up with tears as she gazed out the rain-streaked window. Charlie Sr. was still out there, searching for her. Determined to escape, she quickly fashioned a makeshift rope out of the room's curtains. Despite the raging storm outside, she tied one end to a heavy wardrobe and lowered herself out the window.
