The Game of Shadows

Sophia, who was all dolled up, was already at the venue welcoming guests. She tried forcing a smile although she was tensed and looked scared. She couldn't put what she had done the night before behind her. She felt like something was going to go wrong at the event, which made her all worked up and worried. She checked the time and there was still an hour left before the event started. She wanted everything to be done as soon as possible and she felt like an hour was still a long time to wait. She began to bite her fingers just like she usually did whenever she was worried and frustrated. Just then, her nightmare walked through the door into the hall with her fiancé beside her. She rolled her eyes at the sight of the duo. If not for Daniel who had allowed them to attend the event, she wouldn't have granted the chance to walk through the door. The sight of Ellie made her more anxious and angry and to relieve herself of her anxiousness, she hurriedly headed to the restroom but what she
