Chapter Twenty

I must have looked like I saw a ghost as I stared at Gina in a frozen position.

“Liv, are you alright?”

Kate asked, concerned.

“Yes just..”

I muttered, shaking my head.

“I hope we can be good friends Liv.”

Gina told me.

“Sure.” I said, smiling uneasily.

I couldn’t be in the same room with Eric’s ex mistress plus she kept giving me this creepy look. I had to leave with Isabel although Kate asked me to stay a little longer.

When we got back home, I told Eric all about the party excluding Gina’s part, I didn’t want him paranoid over nothing. We’ve had too much problems already.

I had to leave Eric’s estate for the weekend, my mom was discharged and I really missed her, having her back in the apartment again all healthy and happy made me the happiest. It was just like old times, when it was just her and I against the world—nothing complicated.

“Liv, when are you going to introduce him to me?”

My mom asked, cutting me off guard as I dished out her meal.
