The ride back to the Pearsons' mansion is quick and smooth.

Lucien had urged the young man to floor his pedal and drive as fast as he could. And he certainly did, as they are currently pulling over in front of the mansion.

Juliet and Brianna's eyes light up as soon as Lucien steps out of the car and they hurry to him.

Their expressions are strained and glum. He is certain they would have started crying if he had not arrived when he did.
