BETA XANDER. Maddox had been asleep for more than 14 hours already. I had checked on him three times — last night when I came home, before I went to bed, and early this morning when he didn’t show up at his office. I knew he was alive because he was breathing. It looked like the rejection had affected him and lowered his stamina. But if anything, I was glad he was passed out, as I was able to put my plan in place in his absence, and hopefully, it would go according to what I had in mind. I was at his office with Kenzo and two of the security team, giving them instructions about the cameras they still needed to review. TYLER. After I left Catherine with her friends, I slipped quietly out of the packhouse through the backdoor and headed for the forest nearby. As soon as I entered the forest line, I let Black out, and in no time, we were already running inside the woods. I knew Catherine’s whole family, as well as mine, had been waiting for news on anything I would find out. While Cathy was sleeping, I tried to relay some to Jace through mindlink, but I knew they still had many questions. But first, I needed time alone. LADY ZOEY - DARK CROW PACK (Picks up after Chapter 66) My heart thudded loudly as I watched the convoy for the Black Shadow Pack leave the packhouse as they headed home to their territory. My name is Zoey Jordans — Alpha Female from the Dark Crow Pack. For many generations, my family had only claimed their fated mates. Those who had never found theirs remained unclaimed and unmarked.
